This vineyard is incredibly charming and all the staff members are friendly and quite knowledgeable. My boyfriend is part of their wine club so we get free tastings of all the wines. I prefer their red wines over their white wines and they have some unique blends like Sangria, Chocolate Cherry Truffle, and Peach. The vineyard itself is beautiful and is a perfect idea for a lazy Sunday afternoon with that special someone. It would even make a wonderful venue for special events like a wedding or birthday party.

Did a tasting here with Living Social Adventures and it was nice. They put us upstairs in a big tasting room and we had cheese, chocolate, and a catered lunch provided for us, while the waitresses poured our samples back to back. It was hard to get everybody quiet for our event coordinator to talk to us but that wasn’t her fault. I am not a big red wine fan, so I didn’t like those ones that much, although the Merlot and the Big Franc were nice. We ended up buying a bottle of the Cherry Chocolate Truffle… SOGOOD. It’s got 17% alcohol content too I believe. We also drank the Vietner(I’m definitely spelling it wrong) for lunch, and we took home a Vitner Select which was a harmony of whites together. Nice to see that their wine is sold at East Falls(learned this from the Unilocal reviews)…now I know where to go to pick up a bottle!

Used to be one of my favorites, but no more. I was there last fall and wow, what a difference one year makes. We literally had about 6 types of wine and by the last one we just said enough was enough. There were 4 of us tasting and not one person liked any of the wine. It was almost so bad that we almost asked for our money back. Having said that, I would still go there again in a year in the hopes that it was just an off year. Bottom line; No consistency season after season. I know in this region its hard but others seem to do better with less.

Crossing Vineyards has delicious wine folks! Home grown grapes right here in Pennsylvania, produced and bottle and sold at The Marketplace at East Falls. They have a nice selection of wines including, a Merlot, Cabernet’s, Rieslings, Sparkling Wines and a fun, sweet Strawberry and Blueberry infused wine. Mark is the wine expert on duty there and he can answer any question you might have when you are searching for that perfect bottle for a special occasion or just a nice wine to go with your meal or your particular mood. I know Pennsylvania isn’t known for fine wine, but everything I’ve tried so far has been stellar.
