This stand is my new favorite new stand on Temple’s campus. I have had their chicken quesadilla and pork quesadilla, both of which were great. I appreciate that they provide fresh salsa verde. I also get chipotle mayo with my meal, making it even better! No more Qdoba, only this delicious food stand. This place is slightly cheaper and way better. They have very limited hours, however. I never get to go here as much as I want to.

This is getting four stars only because the last time I went, my quesadilla wasn’t quite as stellar as I remember. All in all, you can’t go wrong with Chris’s Taco Stand. You can order either tacos or quesadillas with either beans, pork, chicken, or beef. The quesadillas are only $ 5 – 6 each and are huge burrito-style ones. They’re perfectly juicy and seasoned. What’s even better than the food is the owner. He is always friendly. The one time I forgot they only took cash, he let me have the quesadilla anyway and just told me to pay him the next time I was there. I, of course, went to the ATM right away after lunch, but I thought this was very sweet of him. Most places I’ve been to in Philly would never have just given me the food. Amazing food and amazing service!

So, ever since I moved back to Philly and started going to Temple, this taco truck is all i kept hearing about. Tacos are like my babies and is probably what I will end up eating on my deathbed. I got the Black Bean taco [ I’m Pescatarian right now, and they do not have a fish taco] it was super simple, Black Beans, Pico de Gallo, Guac and of course a little sprinkle of cheese on two warm corn tortillas. Not a big fan of vegetarian food but this outdid many things I have had in my life. I guess simplicity is the best thing when you can achieve it. I was sad to order one taco but was out of cash, definitely going back there, at least once a week. They also have Chicken, Beef and Chorizo tacos, and same options goes for the Quesedillas. I have heard nothing but good things about their other food, and this will be my top 3 destination once I start eating meat. Also serving traditional Mexican drinks and sodas, I will have to go prepared next time and order some. The owner of the truck was super sweet, and when I told him he should come up with a fish taco, like with Tilapia, he was totally open about it. I can’t wait to see what he will be dishing out! It is really hard to eat healthy when on campus and I couldn’t be more thankful to have them here. Go Chris’s Taco Truck !
