Brian’s is one of the best reasons to go to the East Falls Marketplace. The chocolate moose is out of sight, and their mandarin orange cake is great. While I wouldn’t go there for anything that involves an elaborate design, Brian’s is my new favorite pastry shop.

Brian’s Best Pastries are the best! Every time I walk near his baked goods, I shiver because I know I have to buy something. Be it the almost perfect Pecan Bars or the delicate Strawberry Shortcake or dark and delicious Truffles, I must purchase something! Brian’s Best Pastries is a newcomer to the East Falls Market and has made me a fan of his baking and decorating skills, but his sister Andrea is the culprit! She’s at the counter setting traps for all the shoppers walking past the bakery. Oh it starts out innocent enough, a «how are you?» Then she bats those pretty brown eyes and ask «would you like to try a sample of our pastries?» Well, she may as well use a shotgun because your gonna give in and buy something if not a lot of things from her. But you are not a victim after all, in the end you are a winner and you get to enjoy one of the good things in life, fantastic deserts baked with love.
