Ran in quickly to get character shoes, good experience. Quick service but I didn’t feel rushed. The young woman who helped me was clearly very knowledgeable about how the shoes should fit and went through several options to find the right fit. Also didn’t try to sell me other products once I said that’s all I was there to buy. Will definitely return.

They had what I needed but the service was horrible. In particular, the older man who is there (maybe the owner?) is very rude. The girl behind the counter was nice enough but that man has caused me to vow to never shop there again.
I wouldn’t have even bothered following through with my purchase if I wasn’t in a time crunch. I needed the unitard asap so I couldn’t wait for it to be delivered from any of the dance apparel websites I had found.

I would recommend the Avenue of the Arts to everyone. They have a great selection of stuff & dancers work there as well. So if your like me and don’t know much about ballet or other types of dance and are shopping for your kids, you really should try Avenue of the Arts Dance wear out. My daughter felt uncomfortable trying on stuff, and the women working there was very sweet and patient. She really helped put my daughter at ease. I liked the fact that she was a dancer as well because she knew exactly what to get, how comfortable or uncomfortable a product was, and knew if a product was sturdy or flimsy. This is by far the best dance wear store in Philly!
