Azure Ultra Lounge

Azure is a great local place that livens up my Saturday nights. From the very friendly and helpful staff to the amazing drinks served by Terrell, I just can’t get enough. How many dance floors are available on the historic and legendary South Street? I have so much fun dancing the night away with a few close buddies smack dab in the middle of my weekends. Once you get to know it, you love it. I’m going back tonight!

I had a great time with my friends two weekends ago. The DJ was on point and it was just an overall good vibe. There are three levels to the place and most of the action takes place on the second floor and on the roof deck. The place does throw you at first because although the first floor is decorated nicely, there are not too many people there, so you come in thinking it’s empty. WRONG! You just have to head upstairs (or stay downstairs for a more chill time). I had a great time and will definitely go back.

Who knows what management is putting in those liquor bottles. I visited Azure for a birthday party. I really needed a drink to tolerate the terrible atmosphere. Unfortunately all of my drinks were severely watered down. My first drink was my regular, a vodka soda. As soon as I took my first sip I knew something was off as the taste was sweet and lacked that metallic vodka edge. Fool me once, shame on you I thought, so on my next drink I ordered a double Grey Goose neat. A double vodka will always put me under the table, however my pure vodka was still watery and I was left a sober fool $ 30 later. I usually don’t get upset after bad service because I know how challenging it is to run any type of hospitality or food and beverage establishment but this situation is unique as I was blatantly swindled. I am extremely insulted!

I’m 0 for 2 at azure. Dj is never very good and this time they refused to believe my ID is legitimate. Rude, pushy, and just generally poor customer service. Never coming back. No need to bring my money to a place that treats its customers so poorly.

I was worried after reading reviews but my friend had a free birthday party. I really enjoyed it. Free drinks 10 – 11. Bartenders used the little alcohol measuring cups so drinks weren’t on the heavy side but you still got what you paid for. They also serve food which was pretty good also. Gnostics likely we will go back. We all had a great time. Especially on the Sky Bar deck!

Wish I had read the review before paying $ 20 for entry. The only reason its two stars and not one is because everyone that worked there was helpful and friendly. Outside of that, the music was subpar; the drinks were small and kinda gross now that I think about it. and the sparse crowd? Ughh. Age group ranged from (what appeared to be) 17 to 52. No seriously. The nicest room was definitely the roof top. Won’t be going back even if entry is FREE.

Before visiting Azure Ultra Lounge, my boyfriend & I took a look at their website. Everything looked very upscale & we were most impressed by the advertisement of an open rooftop bar. However, the area surrounding & the inside of the lounge were not «ultra» at all. The crowd was anything but upscale, the drinks were tiny, & the only thing saving this review from getting one star, is the rooftop bar. The rooftop bar is just about the only upscale part of this lounge. My verdict: thumbs down. I won’t be going back.
