Tried the fried plantain which were good. Also tried the mac and cheese which was not good. The macaroni was over cooked it was mushy. Never got a chance to try the beef patties because they never make enough and are sold out.

My husband and I always enjoy our food from A Taste of Jamaica. The food is always fresh hot and delicious. I appreciate the different sizes offered because I am not a big eater so I can order a Taste (small) and enjoy all the different items on the menu.

Taste of Jamaica is all that the name implies… and more. Owners, C Beale and C Kerr have collaborated to balance a soulful, blend of African American and Jamaican cuisine.
We tried the tender Oxtails and Rice & Peas, Jerk Chicken (all traditional Jamaican fare) and the curried shrimp. We sipped on Ginger Beer with our meal. A must try is Mama B’s homemade Potato Salad.
All were delicious and we will be back!

My family really enjoyed everything we ordered, curry goat, curry chicken and jerk chicken. The kids loved the Mac and cheese and the candied yams. Carolyn is really nice.

Just stopped in for a quick bite, first time having ox tail it was a great taste and a healthy serving. I’ll be back tomorrow great lady at the counter too.
