Unfortunately, I agree with Rob B. Twice we stopped there for lunch during trips between the Finger Lakes and NJ. Twice they were not open during times they posted they were open! Thisn last time we knocked, seeing someone inside, and he opened the door to tell us that they«closed a couple minutes early today.»(More than one half-hour earlier than their sign says). OK. So… this is not a real business, it’s someone’s hobby. Don’t waste time gettimg off the highway.

Worst business ever. The place is never open. They open in the mornings but they won’t make a breakfast sandwich unless someone is really in the mood. Conceptually, the sandwiches are good. The business is lazily run, which is beyond frilustrating.

Road tripping through NY and was looking for a Subway when we say a billboard for Last Licks and decided that sounded much better. AMAZING people. While waiting for my sandwiches, I had such a great chat with(whom I assume to be the owners and are husband and wife). They met my mom and my dog who were waiting outside, and offered him a bowl of water. Some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met in NY. All together, we got two HUGE sandwiches, two bottles of water, and a bag of chips, just $ 18. Sandwiches are great, and we were so happy we went to Last Licks instead of Subway. Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

This place is located Right beside of the highway. If you are on a road trip, this is the perfect place to get something to eat quickly and go. Weekday lunch time, parking lot was full. Maybe because of the good weather, outdoor seating area was nice and toasty. Super friendly owner and clean dining area. Not large but decent size of crowd can seat and enjoy your food. Pay after you eat or pick up your to-go order. So many choices to choose from. We got the last soprano sub and corn beef Ruben style panini. Portions were huge, couldn’t finish it. Corn beef Ruben panini wasn’t salty, delicious! I liked it. Soprano sub was good too. Their quality of food were very high. I could taste every bite of meat and it was so delicious. It’s worth to drop by for road trip and share some chat with friendly owner. That will make your travel better!

The best sandwich place in the area! Last Licks is a great place to come for lunch, especially with kids! They have an awesome, extensive menu with so many options to chose from. The owner is so friendly and helpful. The outside seating in the deck is a great plus.

Excellent sandwiches and great fast service at this roadside spot. Way better than stopping at a fast food chain!

We stopped here driving back through from home on a trip downstate… the sandwiches were good but the owner and his wife were really what made the experience like a little gem of a break on our drive. He is nuts!!! So warm and kind and welcoming it makes you feel like you want to move there just to hang out there more often. Highly recommend, they clearly care about your experience, which is just kind of unheard of for an in and out sandwich shop. My Blt was great and my husband have his roast beef sub an 8 out of 10. Lots of choices, and they only had a few cookies left when we were there but you can tell when they have more they must be monsters and likely worth every calorie. Also, we could not believe how many people just kept coming in the door during our 20 minutes there– the place was banging at 2pm on a Saturday… which is a good testament to this place. Loved it.

Was flying up Rt 17(Future 86 — how long will that take?!?) and got told that a bathroom visit was needed by my son. Thankfully, I hadn’t passed the next exit and soon saw in the distance a few major food chains. But as I drove closer«Last Licks» caught my eye. It seemed like it would either be pristine or very bad inside but I gave it a chance. The man at the counter saw my slightly frantic entrance to his store as I asked if there was a bathroom, he showed me and I peeked inside. It was perfect. But that wasn’t the best part. As I scanned the menu, he told me I didn’t need to buy anything for the bathroom use! Well that sold me even more and I ordered a turkey sandwich. Sandwich was great people were even friendlier… Nice spot for a lunch or dessert if in the area. I read a review critiquing the place for not doing breakfast… My opinion is that this is why America is great. If you want to start a company that only serves bbq snails on a Tuesday then you are free to succeed or fail on your own merit. Why expect what they don’t want to provide. If they can survive waking up at 6:30 and not 4:30 like most great breakfast places then more power to them. If they need to do breakfast to stay competitive, the market will tell them in the wallet! Find this place if your looking for a nice hospitable spot to grab a tasty lunch!

My gf and I were here for lunch. I had a breaded chicken cutlet with bacon, lettuce and mayo on a roll. I was a disappointed the cutlet was a previously frozen, processed creation. My gf had a turkey bacon sandwich, and she enjoyed it. For that I give them 3 stars. I will note the bacon was crispy, which is always a plus.

Found a great place for lunch in Liberty area. Saw the sign on 17 «Last Licks» and saw all the cars parked in the lot. Stopped in for a sandwich. WOW. My turkey lettuce tomato onion wrap was perfect. Fresh. They have an extensive menu. Neat place great find. Service was outstanding, friendly couldn’t offer enough suggestions. If they could franchise this place it would be a gold mine

Good food, good soda selection, and the only quick food on the street that isn’t a chain or fast food. Great spot for work lunch breaks.

I don’t pass through Liberty often, but when I do, I make a detour to Last Licks in hopes that they are open. Last Licks is a lunch and ice cream type place, and when it’s the off-season(not the summer), they tend to close up shop pretty early. Still, it is one of the best restaurants in miles. Excellent reviews of the restaurant line the walls inside. They have a number of sandwiches named after the different towns of Sullivan County, all of which are very tasty. The ice cream is great too.

We were on our way to Ithaca and got hungry. This restaurant is run by a delightful couple who were very accommodating. They went out of their way to make our orders, even when they weren’t on the menu. A warm homemade broccoli cheese soup was deliciously creamy. Sandwich portions are huge, especially for how cheap they are. I definitely plan on stopping here the next time I drive this trip. Customer service was phenomenal, the owner went out of his way to make us comfortable and at home. He even engaged in conversation with us about our lives and seemed to genuinely care.

We were heading towards the Finger Lakes, got hungry, saw the proverbial sign for all the fast food joints, got off, and stumbled upon this great sandwich joint(exit 101 on Route 17). What a find! The owner was very personable and talked of how near to Woodstock this place was. The sandwiches were great at a very reasonable price. I wish I lived nearby because this would be my favorite lunch spot(as you could see by all the local vehicles parked in the parking lot). I don’t know why anyone would opt to go to the other chain locations. I say, visit this place for lunch instead of McDonalds or any of those places because the food is great, not over priced, and the personable owner will tell you about local shows etc. It made me wish that I had opened a place like this near where I live.
