Mountain Service Company

I used to work for mountain service company over 21 years ago and it was always a great company now I see they’ve gotten propane in there business all I can say is I wish them the best I don’t know if the owner Richard Kojak still owns it. Hope hope is not still mad at me for leaving. Mountain service companies of the best!

We recently ran into some issues with our home central heating system, which forced us to turn off the heat (during a very cold night). We called the after-​hours number and they had a representative at our house by 8:30 the next morning.
The repair technician completely exceeded our expectations. He was professional; he truly listened as I described the issue (a chemical smell flooding the house when the heater was turned on). He then spent well over two + hours diligently working to try to find the source of the problem (which turned out to be potentially hazardous and very, very random).
I am confident that very few companies would have provided us with the level of quality, focus and concern that we got from Mountain Service Company. We were grateful for their diligence in diagnosing the problem, and look forward to using them again for any future. I am grateful to have companies like this in San Lorenzo Valley. Quality work and quality people.

We had our furnace and hot water heater installed by Mountain Service a few years ago. In each case we received good advice, a fair price and prompt and professional service. Now we are considering getting air conditioning and Mountain Service was the first place we called for a quote. I like that they are locally owned and operated and seem to care a great deal about their customers. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Very poor customer service. Not friendly on the phone. Did not show up to multiple appointments. Way expensive
I’m glad I went somewhere else. Mountain service quoted me $ 100 to change the filter in my furnace. The handyman came and completed the job in 5 minutes and charged $ 40.
Mountain service gave a 1pm to 4pm window to fix my furnace. I came home from work early and they did not show up. I called at 4:30p to reschedule. They made an appointment to show at exactly 1pm the following day. They did not show. At 1:30 I called and they said they would be there at 3. At 3:30 I called and they said 4:30. I asked them not to come.

I am a REALTOR and sometimes my time is quite short. I called Mountain Service Company to have my client’s propane tank filled. I gave them a 1 hour window. When I arrived at the house, Selby was there — on time, to take care of everything. He made sure that every gas appliance was lit and working properly before leaving.
