I have tried to support this teriyaki place since the Metropolitan market closed because I knew they wouldn’t get as much traffic. Today I stopped in and asked to order something that was on one of the photos the man working who I believe is normally the cook said oh we don’t serve that anymore OK… So I then order a teriyaki chicken and an order of yakisoba and asked if he could put the yucky soba into different boxes he said no. Then I asked if I could purchase a second box he said yes but then he said I would have to divide the yucky soba into the two boxes myself? REALLY? I said no thank you. Sir I know you work hard. Your restaurant was completely empty. I work hard too. I will now take my hard earned money to one of the other 10 teriyaki restaurants that taste just as good as yours. You lost a loyal local customer and someone who refers restaurants with good service. You may have the best teriyaki around but your service sucks! This was on 2÷5÷2016 at 320 pm

My family’s favorite teriyaki restaurant in federal way. Everything is consistently delicious and the staff is so friendly. I ate the chicken teriyaki last Wednesday night and it was just as great as it usually is, actually it was even better than I remembered. The next day I got teriyaki from a place near my work and it didn’t come close to comparing.

We order from here every couple months and the food is consistently flavorful and enjoyable. The owners are very hard working people. I don’t understand the recent negative reviews, as we have eaten in and ordered to-go for years, and have always been pleased. Because they are usually busy filling phoned in to-go orders, they probably aren’t too social, but always pleasant and thank us for our business. Sometimes there is a language barrier, making it difficult to always understand them, but they try to repeat when they know you can’t understand. We’re looking forward to ordering again tonight :)

I never do this — really. This place was unacceptable. First we waited almost 1 hour for our food. When we received it, it was cold. Chicken breast teriyaki and rice was cold and the salad was warmer that those items. They were serving call in orders received after we got there way before we got our food. People came in after us and received their orders before us. I spent almost $ 50 for a horrible dinner. Also when the food final was brought out, they sort of tossed it on the table at the opposite end of the tables and we end had to ask for silverware, which was tossed into the middleman the table. The man and lady were constantly yelling at end other. Do not recommend.

This place is amazing! Glad it’s a walking distance from my house. Their Gyoza are the best I’ve ever had. Can get busy during dinner but worth the wait.

Not good, federal way has better. The man and women that work there were yelling at each other in the back. I did not like either the Katsu or the over sugared teriyaki. Felt like I was putting them out by ordering from them.

This is the best place we found so far where the chicken breast is tasty and not nasty and they give you generous servings. My husband and I enjoy going here for take out at least one time per week and you can call ahead. I am super picky and I recommend the chicken breast teriyaki. Have not tried anything else yet. The sauce is a bit unique, not quite the typical teriyaki sauce, but its good!

Greasy chicken fried rice… I’ve never been so upset with a teriyaki restaurant but I guess it’s my fault for thinking they could make chicken fried rice. I wasn’t impressed with the teriyaki chicken that ordered months ago and I decided to give it another try tonight with something simple. I sat and watched him make my food in the empty dining area. When he finished, he wouldn’t even bring it to me. He drops it on another table and walked back into the kitchen. Didn’t say thank you or anything. I knew something was wrong, so I looked at my food and expressed to him how I didn’t like the tons of grease and the chard chicken, then he laughs and says that’s the way it supposed to be. I told him to forget about it and threw it away when I got home. I don’t have the heart to be mean to the old man and tell him how horrible his food looked. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go to another place.

OMG ! THEFOOD I CANTEVENPUTINTOWORDSHOWHORRIBLEITWASS! REASONS: –sesame chicken tastes like crap compared to safeway –chicken breast– how cheap can they be cutting the meat into thin slices –small portions and how is this a cheap place? napkins are limited to 1 or 2 for a person — horrible customer service –happy at the bay teriyaki at renton/kent, hawaiian l&L, mika buffet =100xs better than this crap –the woman plays dumb w/u even though you tell her ure a vegetarian, she keeps offering meat — i would nv want to eat at the restaurant again! the atmosphere there gives you the feeling the place is unsanitary

Omg this teriyaki place is so awesome! I drove by this place many times and decided to try this place tonight without any expectation. We got a sweet and sour chicken and beef teriyaki. It was really yummy. Sweet and sour chicken was one of my best, and I loved the smoky beef in the beef teriyaki. the portion was bomb and we were so full when we ate all lol Most of all, the owners are really really kind, respectful and nice people. They treated every customer with their best and full of respect, and later on, I was very happy to eat that restaurant. Awesome!

The best of the best! I’ve enjoyed their food very much. It’s so good! The owners have grown on me even more so. It’s been a while since I’ve been in, and I’d lost something extremely important to me. When I walked in, I was recognized instantly and she let me know she had found something of mine. At first I didn’t understand, then she held it up and handed it to me. I’m so grateful and thankful to be blessed with good people in our neighborhood. The best of the best! This time I had the Chicken Katsu and my son had the General Tao.

Seriously bomb teriyaki. I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while so my boyfriend and I went and ate there last night. I got the combo with chicken and two egg rolls. I love the teriyaki sauce and the egg rolls were so fresh and crisp and big! The salad dressing was super yummy and the rice was cooked perfectly. The serving was the perfect amount and I ate most of it. It did not leave me feeling gross or too full later on. The place is clean and while it looks a bit old it was comfortable and pleasant to sit down and eat. We were some of the only people eating in. Six or seven different parties came in and ordered /picked up to go orders while we were eating. The place is run by what looks to be an elderly couple. The woman was taking orders and she seemed sweet but very busy /stressed and I didn’t want to bother her, so I didn’t ask for chopsticks when our food came… Haha. I can’t wait to order take out from here one night when I don’t feel like cooking!

This place is one of two teriyaki restaurants that are my go-tos. I compare other joints to hold up to teriyaki house. Their spicy chicken teriyaki is seriously the best! It’s clean and cute on the inside and the owners are always so sweet. I’ve been coming here for years. This place truly is a gem! :)

Consistently delicious! We’ve been getting takeout from here for a while now. Today was the first time that I visited myself — someone else usually goes to pick up. I was very impressed when I got there. The owners were very friendly and efficient. The seating area was nice and clean, too. I’m a vegetarian, so I always get the«tofu stir fry.» I love it so much that I’ve never tried anything else, but I hear that their chicken teriyaki is wonderful as well. I’d definitely recommend trying their food if you get the chance. :)

My go to teriyaki joint. Great for what it is… The woman gets upset if you don’t call in your order as she wants you in and out fast. She always sounds rushed and hurried over the phone… She will ask you to spell a dish, if she isn’t certain what you are saying.(i.e cashew vs. katsu) Enjoy their teriyaki, spicy teriyaki, cashew chicken and my daughter loves the yakisoba. Everything cooked to order, so if you can’t or do not want something in your meal, just ask her to take it out– they have no issue doing that! Salad dressing is yummy and perfect and comes on the side, in a container. It looks tiny, but is enough for the salad! Downside?! Closed Sundays… And a lil more pricey than the other teriyaki places. If the woman wants to avoid a topic, she suddenly doesn’t understand English very well… Do Not let her fool you; she understands everything just fine! I used to be annoyed by her but… she has totally grown on me!

Moved to NE Tacoma 3 years ago and checked Unilocal to find a nearby Teriyaki place, loved the reviews so gave Teriyaki House a try. It Rocks! The couple that run this place work their arses off putting out the best tasting Chicken Breast Teriyaki I have ever had! Their Pork Fried Rice is awesome! Not a huge order so I double order it now! I always have an order of Gyoza, so delicious! Looks like your typical teri place, in a run down strip mall with a sign that could use a light bulb or two, just mom and pop busting out the yumminess. Everything is made to order, fresh. They need some more help, but you can’t beat the food, and that’s what counts, right? Highly Recommend!

Pretty much your basic Teriyaki place. The staff was very nice, I got — you guessed it — Chicken Teriyaki! It was good! They have some really good lunch special prices!

I really love Teriyaki House. I used to live right down the street and would have it at least twice a week. I agree with the other review… the couple who run the restaurant are great. The woman is especially sweet, though she might be a bit hard to understand on the phone.(You can call and order for pick up). As for the food… its some of the best teriyaki around Federal Way, in my opinion. I love their fried rice here. I always get the teriyaki chicken with fried rice instead of steamed. Its a bit of an extra charge($ 2.00 extra I think?) but I think its worth it. Their beef isn’t bad either. Portion size is pretty average in comparison to other places around town. I think you get more if you eat in the restaurant though.
