So we dropped by this place to get lunch, and I wasn’t wowed or anything. The food was fine I enjoyed the fish tacos. It’s a make your own burrito place exactly the same as Chipotle or Qdoba, but not as good or as many choices. So I’d say if you’ve got a craving for fish tacos check it out, but otherwise not really worth it.

Taco Del Mar– definitely sub par. When I first entered the restaurant, the employees on duty carried on with their conversation for a few minutes before coming up to the food prep station and asking my order. I ordered fish tacos on corn tortillas, but when they began to prepare them, it was as if they were on autopilot, oblivious to the actual food order. The prep person got flour tortillas instead, and then began to fill them with pork carnitas. At this point, I stopped her, and reminded her that I had ordered fish tacos. To which she replied«No, you didn’t.» After a short moment of argument, she threw the pork tacos aside in a surly huff, then set aside the corn tortillas I had asked for while heating the fish portions for my tacos. When the fish portions were ready, she apparently forgot about those corn tortillas… which were in a bowl on the counter in front of her… and prepared my tacos on flour tortillas! I reminded her again of my order, and she just handed what she had prepared to me and walked away. This was one of the most surreal apathetic experiences I’ve ever had with any kind of food service. I had previously visited Taco Del Mar at other locations, so I think their food can be okay(–not great, but usually not bad, either), but this location definitely needs to train their staff in a better customer service ethic.

I went in this afternoon for lunch. I always love watching when the make food in front of me. I had the Steak Mondo burrito. They really only gave me 6 pieces of meat. Yes, i counted. I wanted more but it cost a 1.50 more for sliced roast beef(THATAIN’T NOSTEAK) The burrito really looked big with all the beans, rice and smear of guac. It also tasted pretty decent.

What a rip off. They won’t honor pirq. And charged me for another rice and beans and drink. This place sucks big time! Emailed the company about over charge. No response. Whatch your bill closely.

This is one of my Grandsons favorite places and since he doesn’t get to go at home — him and I try and have lunch here. We use to go to the one in Auburn — by the Supermall — before we enjoyed a movie but it closed so fortunately this one is fairly close to our home. I find the food to be fresh but the atmosphere is too California for me. I like Tacos with hamburger and so this place is perfect for me and he likes the large burrito. It is a great place for a nice fresh meal and the assembly line service is fast.

Taco Del Mar was, admittedly, a last ditch option for us, and going in my expectations weren’t high. Yet, I was still unpleasantly surprised. I tried their Chicken burrito, which I found mushy, bland, and decidedly lacking in chicken. The«pico» was less than fresh; the chipotle sauce was insipid; the spanish rice was like an oversalted store-bought mix. How disappointing. I’m basically astounded that even this far north, anybody can do Mexican food so poorly.

I’m not a huge fan of Mexican food, but I’ve grown to love Taco Del Mar. I’ve been to many locations now and I tend to favor this one. Their chicken is much better than some of the other locations and they are more generous with their meat. The rice is excellent. My daughter likes the kids meal, she gets a cheese quesadilla, chips and milk for around $ 3.50. Most of the employees are nice, but a few of them have this attitude like it’s an inconvenience that we came in. We use the Pirq app a lot to get discounts, making this place a weekly trip for us(with a stop at Menchie’s across the parking lot after dinner).

Ah, the ubiquitous(To the sound area, at least). Taco Del Mar. Although a large(and local) chain, it proved to be somewhat of a «gateway» burrito/Mexican food place for me at one point. To those who haven’t visited one before, think of it as in the same vein as other«assembly line», or mission-style burrito chains(ala Qboda/Chipotle). But what helps Taco Del Mar stand out a bit is their seafood options(Hey, it’s in the name, after all!). I like that I can get fish or shrimp here, as well as spanish-style rice(as opposed to plain rice). Overall, it kind of falls into the good, but not amazing category. It’s a solid option if you need a quick bite while running errands.

We’ve been going to this Taco Del Mar for a while — usually once a week or every other week. All of the workers are friendly and they’re not stingy with the ingredients. We realized how spoiled we were at this one after stopping at the Bellingham one(that was awful). It’s nice that they have Cholula sauce and lemons, and the $ 5 platter deal after 5 is awesome.

Alright, for chain-store food this place is pretty darn good. In fact we probably go there more frequently than we should. The menu is somewhat limited and if you go often you’ll find yourself wishing they had more options(as I do). But it’s good food served up fast and at a pretty good price.
