This is too mediocre and average for me. I lived in LA and the Kbbq restaurants in LA is soooooo much better than this one. The service is sooooo bad! They are really slow. Meat quality is also on the poor side. 24.99 per person is way too expensive considering the quality of our meal. A ayce kbbq spot like this in LA will only charge 9.99 given the poor quality and poor service!

I went here for my birthday. I asked for water and tea, only got my tea. Asked for my water twice before my dad asked and she finally brought it. Didn’t get refills on sides either. Barely saw my waitress. Food was good, just wish the waitress was more frequent.

I gave it a three because it’s just average to me. Don’t get me wrong the food tasted great but I don’t see the reason for it to be more expensive than other Korean bbq places unless, there’s something special with it which in this case there’s none. Got there around 7pm my husband surprised me with a dinner 17 miles away from home so I had higher expectations. We got there waiting with two parties ahead of us. The hostess sat us unintentionally at a table with no grill so we were like no, we want the grill and then she said it’ll be 5 mins so we just decided to wait. Another family came party of five and the hostess sat them immediately first which I find odd but I figured they probably wanted a table with no grill. After 10 mins we finally got seated and right across to us was the family they sat before us on a table with grill. I thought was unfair since we waited there first but oh well I didn’t really made a big deal out of it and just got excited with eating. Overall it’s was good our server sume was really helpful and kept checking on us. Way better than the hostess! Service 3 stars 5 stars for the server 1 star for the hostess Food 3 stars Ambiance 5 stars Wait time 3 stars We got the unlimited dinner for two which totaled our bill to $ 54 before tips Overall still a good experience but not worth for the price unless you live nearby to it and prefer to dine expensively. Might not come back here again it didn’t really met my expectations sorry :(

Food was ok till we saw the bill. We ended up paying almost $ 30 per person after the $ 4 soup and $ 24 all u can eat. Their sign says $ 15.99 for lunch but it looks like they start dinner at 3pm? They don’t have seaweed salad or rice paper which is an absolute must. Would not recommend! Def not worth the price. The service was terrible.

We went here with my cousins and friends. Unfortunately we won’t be returning. Why? Was it the food? No, that was fine! I had short ribs teriyaki and it was pretty good. The girls all had the Korean Bbq and said it was fine as well.(I didn’t try any of theirs but I trust their opinion). It was the awful service — from one specific waitress/server!!! I wasn’t greeted at all for 10 minutes when I came in(I came before all the gals) and just stood at the entrance by the hostess area waiting to be greeted while they walked back and forth. Then once everyone arrived and we were seated, we had two servers, a woman from the beginning and then a guy joined her to assist as well later. The guy, Justin was friendly and nice. He was attentive and eager to answer questions about drinks and food while we were ordering. The woman was rude and took forever to bring out my mango Mojito which was all ice and syrup/sugar and you couldn’t even taste any mint bc there was one leaf in there and it wasn’t muddled and you couldn’t taste the alcohol either — I had a feeling they forgot it. If I wanted a sugary drink minus alcohol I would’ve just ordered a Coke or juice — virgin ! When I asked for the drink to be remade so it actually tastes like a Mojito — she rolled her eyes and took it away and it didn’t come back out to me for a good 15 minutes. There was a major delay in service while waiting for the next round of meat and sides to be brought out. We were very disappointed bc this place is quite pricy especially in comparison to other Korean bbq places in federal way and Tacoma and they all drove here bc we were hoping the quality of service and food would be worth it. The facility itself is clean and spacious. One star for that and one star for my short ribs. Service is just crap — unfortunately.

This is the best Korean BBQ I’ve been to in the area, and I’ve been to almost all of them. Quality of the food was exceptional and more than enough. Great service and friendly staff. If you’re in the mood for Excellent Korean BBQ this is the place! Will be going back!

My husband and I ate here a few weeks ago for dinner and had a pleasant experience. The bill was a kind of high, but the service and food quality was good that we felt the price was justified. Fast forward to yesterday… I invited my sister and her hubby to have lunch with us there. The price was $ 24.99 per person since it was the weekend, but at least it was the full menu so we expected the full price as well. We had a party of 5 — two couples and my son. We’re Hawaiian, we’re not all small in size but they sat us at a small table and called it good. The table was cramped and we ended up placing our used dishes on the partition until someone took them… which was maybe once. Our plates and bowls stacked up on the table but they still didn’t remove them. The staff that night was nice enough when they did come to our table. Our meats were replenished but our drinks were empty and had to ask for refills. Our grill was changed out several times, but I wish they took more care not to drip onto US or into our drinks. When our bill came, I was surprised that they already add 18% gratuity. I mean… we tip, and we normally tip well because my sister and I both worked for tips in the past. But if a place adds on a tip I normally don’t tip more unless the service was superb which really it wasn’t THAT awesome. My husband went to pay the bill and noticed that the ring up ticket now stated that the total including the 18% tip added was«PRE-TIPAMT». WTF?! So on top of the mandatory 18% tip, you want us to tip again? My husband didn’t add another tip on and while we were walking out, he heard the cashier tell one of the waitresses that served us that we didn’t give her a tip. Umm…I don’t think I’ll be going back here again. I was planning on taking my daughter but after that, I think I’ll go some where less expensive with comparable meat quality.

4.5 stars. I usually only come here when I know I can eat a lot because their kbbq selection is awesome! Palace is definitely one of the best kbbq place in federal way, but as one of the best, it is kind of expensive as well. Pricing — $ 24.99 for all you can eat dinner and I believe weekend as well. $ 15.99 for lunch, which in my opinion is not that bad. Service — Fast and friendly Their beef tenderloin and LA Beef ribs is a must try, my party only ordered those two, and they were both seasoned deliciously. The meal also comes with a whole bunch of side dishes which is a plus! I’ll definitely come back when I’m craving good Korean bbq! Tip: They only allow you to pick two items from their selection to grill at once, which I thought was pretty smart because this can reduce the amount of food being wasted.

Bought a groupon for this place and asked if we can use it for AYCE. She said absolutely. To my delight, they offered great side dishes(bamchan) plus all kind of premium quality meat where you had to order in Korea a la carte. It was great compliment with OB Beer plus they gave us Garumjim(clay pot steam egg) just to make us happy on my first meal upon landing in Seattle. Highly recommended to anyone who has hearty appetite. The server were eager to offer even more and we were stuffed to the max. We will certainly return. Nunmein were absolutely delicious as well as beanpaste tofu soup.

This place has been here for awhile but my family and I always went to shinsung(it’s right next to this place) for Korean BBQ instead because it’s cheaper for the same quality meat. But lately shinsung has been raising their prices like crazy so we started to come here instead. Wrong choice!!! It’s still pretty pricy here, and a few days ago my grandma ordered crab and squid(which she thought was fresh), but then ended up getting food poisoning from it. The food smelled funny to her but just ignored it because she thought it was her imagination, but she was right and they served her spoiled food!!!

This place only allows all you can eat for 2 or more people. This isn’t advertised anywhere and they will simply turn you away without any regard for how far you drove or anything. This is irresponsible and the first time I have encountered this in all my travels.

The only time I ever come here is when I am with a huge group like after church or something with everyone. And it’s mostly for the AYCE buffet. It’s better than shin sung but it’s still AYCE so you get what you pay for in terms of meat quality.

This was my first go at Korean BBQ. My daughter is 11, I don’t feel that she should have to pay adult prices, she definitely did not eat an adult size portion. There weren’t many patrons in the restaurant when we came in, it was roughly 2pm on a Friday afternoon. Our server was all about bringing us more meat, but for some reason getting more drinks was like pulling teeth. I paid $ 40 for me and my 11 year old daughter to eat, and it really wasn’t that special. I probably won’t come back.

I have probably being here like 20 times lol I need help! Anyways, I always come here for the unlimited BBQ. Oh ma gawd talk about fresh meat! It’s like the animals used were hand massaged before they were killed lol. The meat is so soft, it immediately melts in your mouth after every bite. My favorite in the meat menu is the pork brisket! You love it and want more? No worries fatty! It keeps coming! Haha ! I have being to several korean BBQ spots that starts reducing the quantity of start mixing it with other meats as time goes on but it’s not like that with palace place. You get your money’s worth!

Came here with a party of 10, and they seated us before we all arrived which was great! The atmosphere is very large and they have good ventilation systems so you feel like you’re not bathing in the korean bbq smell(although you know you are). Service: Overall good service. Although we asked for soybean paste soup at least 3 times, which finally about 30 min later. Otherwise they were always attentive and asked us what meats we wanted next and would always automatically refill our side dishes without us asking! Food: Meat selection is great for $ 23-$ 24, I love their brisket, pork belly, and pork bulgogi. Very generous portions with each serving, and I must say I have been to a fair share of AYCEKBBQ in LA and this is at least as good to a few of the places. Added bonus: If you sign up for their newsletter, they will give you a coupon for 10% off your next visit!

Last night(10⁄17) we came here for dinner. This was our first time. We was greeting by two friendly korean servers. Then another girl(asian blondy) took us to a table and literally throw the grill pan at us. Really!!! That made us VERYMAD. She did not even bother looking back at to fix the grill or say sorry. Then there was no menu given to us, we had to used the menu on Unilocal. She didnt even came back to give us the menu. Anyhow we got Un-marinated combo size Medium which cost 69.99 and that was good, but the stew does not come together with the combo. So we ordered a spicy tofu stew but the server didnt even ask which favor did we want, she just walk away like some1 was chasing her down. And that small stew cost us 8.99, and it was ridiculously small !! Total cost was over 80 dollars for two people, it is definitely not worth it at all, beside the meat, everything else from the service to the serving was just … SH! TTY WORSTPART: we had to wait over 15mins to get the bill after asking the server 3 times to had her bring it to us. That was not it, THEYLITERALLYFORGOT that i had paid, so after another 10 mins, the asian BLONDE B*** came back asking us what do we need, I was like MYDAMNCHANGES!!! So it all came down they have no idea i had paid and missed place my table bill/money. Luckily we gave her cash, otherwise would have to call the bank to cancel my card… We are from California, land of korean bbq i would say, and to us this place is a joke. WEWOULDNOTBECOMINGBACKHEREEVERAGAIN! Note: we did not give them any attitude at all, so either some1 fart on her face or … Cant think of anything else that would make us deserve this kind of service.

The sides are pretty good compared to a different place I went to near by. Believe it or not the seafood tofu stew was not hot enough for me, the egg didn’t even cook, it was all slimy after leaving it sit there for awhile. Yuck! lol The water tasted like freeze burned ice, which was not cool. The staff was friendly though and I did receive food pretty fast.

I used to love this place. But service has deteriorated quite greatly. Its unfortunate, I really do prefer their food over several of the other kbbq places nearby for cleanliness and quality. But the last visit we had here, they gave us this vibe like, «really you’re ordering more?» And gave an embarrassed for us kind of smirk… Um I’m pretty sure asking for a different kind of protein isn’t a lot and only being the second plate we order is not excessive. It was really rude and my husband was super pissed. He didn’t even want us to tip and he wanted to say something about it to their manager. I felt like we should’ve but we didn’t. I’d rather just say it on here. Hope their management sees it because they definitely need an attitude adjustment. We left a 10% tip. Could’ve been a zero, but being a forgiving server myself, I couldn’t leave nothing for the rude ‘server’ I do regret it though. Anyway, if youre in the mood for good kbbq this is the place. But pay no mind to the service, unless you get one of the old regular servers here that works in the AM shifts, I don’t know her name but I can remember her face and she’s always given great service.
