We ordered a 4pc takoyaki and okonomiyaki plate. The takoyaki had a nice crunchy exterior and the insides were not mushy! They were pretty generous with the octopus pieces too. The okonomiyaki plate was HUGE and more than enough for two. There was a massive amount of bonito flakes both dishes which was just fine because we love watching them ‘dance’. All in all, it was a good place for a quick bite. Conveniently, K-Ton shares food court space with a mandarin/korean restaurant, in case you wanted to try different things in one go. Service was friendly as well and the lady behind the counter was very sweet. We might try some other items on the menu the next time we go grocery shopping!

Unfortunately I have to give this place just one star. The taste of the curry was below par. I’ve had better and can even make a better curry myself at home. I ordered beef curry and I felt that they might have just used whatever left over scraps of beef they had since the meat was cut so thin. It was just different than how beef curry is usually made. Also the carrots and onions were skimpy looking. Tiny little looking carrots and I didn’t see any potatoes in there. They never packed it well too. Curry should be separated from the rice because if not then by the time you get home if it’s take out, what you end up with is rice soaked up with curry. For about $ 10, I would go elsewhere for something better. However one good thing about this place was that it seemed conveniently located inside H-mart and the service seemed ok.

After shopping at H-Mart, my mom and I decided to get lunch. I got the chicken yakisoba and my mom ordered some takoyaki. The yakisoba had different noodles than the other yakisobas I’ve had. It was pretty good. Takoyaki was good too, though needs another piece of octopus. However ended having an slightly upset stomach after eating.

Came to H-Mart to get a quick meal with the cousins. I was looking at the K-Ton menu and settled on the chicken curry katsu combo. I pay for my meal and the lady hands me the buzzer to buzz me when my order is ready. About a little later, its buzzing and I go pick up my food. The combo comes with a huge plate of rice, katsu, and curry with a side salad, pickled squash, and miso soup. Everything tasted good and it was decent. I will come back here and maybe try the ramen next time.

I adore this little place! They woman who is always there is sweet and always quick to get our order in. Ive come twice now and as im not too adventurish I stayed with the miso ramen. Honestly the best I’ve had! The spicey mushrooms give just enough kick to the miso and the noodles are always perfect. My boyfriend got the shrimp katsu and was just as pleased with it! He was almost unwilling to let me try his udon thats just how good it was. I only marked off a star because it is a shared sitting area with a few different restaurant’s and its no good for a diet. I would definetly stay away from this great little place if you’re trying to lose weight.

Good food, great fried meat, but heard her say the word MSG in Korean. Why would I eat it here if it didn’t taste good. :/If you’re a health nazi this isn’t the place for you.

IMO, Sorry to say food was not good. I had Chicken Donburi… rice was watery, meat had no flavor and egg was under cooked. almost raw. Also bought Tako Yaki and it was also under cooked. Very nice presentation but bad taste… could not eat, had to throw it all away… Won’t go back…

Every time I come here. I get so tempted to buy literally everything that’s on the menu. I come here cause the food’s delicious and it’s not even just the taste. The quality of the food gives me the reason to come back and of course, the gentle smile I always get from the adorable Korean ahjumma behind the counter. Even tho it’s self service, her caring responses to all your questions from the menu puts me at 5 stars!!! Please try all their ramen. It’s so bomb. Especially the spicy ramen and please get the pork or shrimp katsu on the side. It’s the perfect combo. FAVORITERAMENPLACEINFED!

I heard a good review of ramen noodles so would like to give it a try. The food is so so and I would not say it is purely Japanese style ramen. It adds Korean ingredients and taste differently. Overall it is not bad but don’t expect ramen the way you would think of.

This is my favorite place to get ramen. I come here so often, the cashier lady knows my order :) I usually get the miso ramen and takoyaki and the last time I went, the little old lady gave me 2 free pieces of takoyaki which literally made my life haha. After a long day at work, a night of drinking or whatever else, this is my go to. 5 stars because the lady is so cute and super nice, ramen is filling, their takoyaki’s bomb, and all worth your money.

I was quite disappointed, as I was excited to see the great Unilocal reviews, and decided to come here for ramen thinking that it’d be par with what I had from CA. Sadly, to my dismay, the ramen is not authentic Japanese, but more of a Korean ramen version of what they think Japanese ramen would be. There was too much bean sprouts in the ramen and the chicken katsudon was way too sweet. I would not be back to eat here again.

Located inside a Korean/Asian Grocery called Hmart. K-ton is not a formal type restaurant. There are tables for you to seat that are available to that restaurant as well as it’s also used for other customers of other food vendors inside this grocery store. The the lady that I ordered the food from was friendly. After ordering they give you a pager. So you can finish your grocery shopping while waiting. Which was neat. I ordered fish katsu curry. The meal came with rice smothered in curry sauce, coleslaw and I believe miso soup(though not too sure what the soup name is). The fish was moist. The curry sauce, wasn’t the greatest, but it wasn’t that bad either. It had some spice to it. Overall the meal was good. Would go back again to try other food.

I was really shocked at how good the chicken katsu was. I was expecting mediocre over breaded hammered down chicken. Alas — the chicken was tender and juicy. You get whole fillets that look hand dipped. Delicious and you got all the sides. This place cares about the food they serve you. How shocking to find in a food court!

My favorite place in Fed to get good ramen. It located right inside hmart right next to the bakery. I love their tonkatsu ramen… And their kastu curry is so crunchy and savory combined with the curry. In my opinion the best kastu curry in the federal way area. The lady at the register kind of have a hard time understanding sometimes, but when she gives you the food… Delicious… I would recommend this place!

Located in the small food court, K-Ton Japanese offers up some tasty Japanese food. The woman taking orders was pleasant after calling my order to the guys in the back, one them enthusiastically repeated it as he walked to the freezer to grab my food. I ordered to okonomiyaki which came filled with cabbage, pork and seafood(octopus) and topped with katsu sauce, a honey mayo and bonito flakes. I’m not naïve to the fact that smaller and less buy restaurants often pre-cook their food and then reheat it for customers, but I’m always a little taken aback when I see it in front of my face. Anyways, the okonomiyaki was pretty tasty and the serving size was very generous! It’s always neat watching the bonito flakes dance on your plate before you start eating. If you’ve never had one before, its very dense and savory pancake filled with various meats and veggies and topped with a mix of more savory and sweet sauce. I’d probably order it again.

Location moved to inside Hmart, use to be in Kent. Husbands pork katsu was juicy ;). I got a simple katsu shrimp udon; soup is mild and the shrimp was crispy. Convenient when in the area. Not a place that I would get out of my way for though.

I use to frequent their Kent location and totally freaked when they closed. Glad they reopened even closer to my house. The new spot is inside the HMart food court… while it’s not as comfy as the old location, the menu is still the same and excellent. The curry katsu is the best… it’ll melt in your mouth. It’s a little pricey around $ 12 but a single order is enough for 2 people to share.

It’s located in the food court of H-Mart, where they used to sell taiyaki. I’m sad that the taiyaki is gone, but I’m SUPER thrilled about this place! I’ve been here twice so far and it’s been really great. Out of all the menu I’ve tried here so far, tonkotsu ramen is the winner. Friendly staff! I didn’t know clean up was self service so I just kinda left my dishes there oops… Sorry!!!

menu consists of curry, tonkatsu, donburi, and authentic udon noodles and ramen. Its convenient that i can shop at H-mart then eat my favorite crunchy tonkatsu afterwards. YUM!
