Amazing place, so family friendly, and so respectful. We had such a great waitress. Food was so delicious. We were not rushed through our meal like most places do. Also they were not rude towards us when my daughter started fussing. The waitress was on top of everything and had a smile on her face the whole time. She had respect didn’t complain and her smile never faulter. The burger I got was juicy and so yummy. It definitely was bigger then I expected and had to take some home. With appetizers being big and the dinner rolls my husband couldn’t finish his steak. He had to take it to go, but boy did it look good and juicy. My mom loves her prime rib. The kids Mac and Cheese wasn’t heated up Kraft like most places and seemed to be made there in their kitchen. Definitely was really good Mac and Cheese. Definitely coming back and definitely recommending it to family and friends.

Cuatomer Service was excellent and food was mediocre to good at best. Restaurant is relatively new so pretty clean. Went to go watch a basketball game sound was alright, some of the tv were fuzzy, couldnt read the score well. They have another room to the side for a quite environment /large parties. Theyre happy hour deal is pretty legit. Ribs looked delicious need to try that next time.

Best burger I have had in federal way, classic cheeseburger with bacon, comes with a very genius helping of fries. Very clean and nice place to eat.

We were in the area doing some home décor shopping and based on a Unilocal friends tips(thanks Kii S.) decided to give it a shot and clear off another bookmarked spot. We arrived just a little before late happy hour which starts at 9pm. There was plenty of parking in the lot directly near the entrance. They are located behind the Total Wine & More building and are easy to find with well lit signage. There was nobody at the door entrance when we entered so we made our way to the bar area and grabbed a table. The décor is pretty cool I thought. with flat screens surrounding the space and a kinda industrial feel. Very casual and great atmosphere! Our server Lacey greeted us shortly after we settled in giving us the rundown on the happy hour menu items. The tap list was not bad and $ 4 pints are always a BONUS! Although my choice(Irish Death) is one of two brews not offered at the happy hour price I was still a very happy camper… To kick things off we wanted to try out the onion loaf($ 5) which came with bbq sauce and ranch on the side. It was very tasty with just the right amount of crunch and seasoned well. We also ordered the 10 piece bone-in chicken wings w/celery($ 7.99) with sauces on the side. They were also prepared well and plenty juicy. We shared the OMG! Burger($ 13.99) which has two patties each topped with swiss and cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo all on a brioche bun and substituted the fries with a Salad. The burger was very flavorful and a winner as well… Happy hour portions are full size and the OMG! Burger is pretty damn big! Since my better half eats like a bird all of this fed the both of us with leftovers to bring home for our sons… I would definately go back when in the area…

WORSTEVER. Took twenty minutes for our server to show up. She then walked away after only taking 2⁄8 orders. We didn’t see her again for another twenty minutes. We didn’t see her again until we flagged her down for checks and boxes. When she came, she brought no boxes, forgot a check and had messed up on two checks. When she came back again, she didn’t give my friend her card back. After about 5 – 10 minutes, she brought back the card. My friend will definitely be monitoring her accounts for fraudulent activity. I have fond memories if the 320th location, but I won’t be returning to this one ever again.

Service was good along with the food. Very quite for a Saturday night. A little on the pricey side for what you get

I came here with a college sports team and was very impressed(came back the next week as well). The staff was very accommodating of our group, and we had maybe the most enthusiastic waiter I’ve ever had. The food was great(I had the club sandwich and the mushroom burger) and didn’t hear any complaints. We came during the week for a late lunch so it wasn’t busy– would love to see what the atmosphere is like on a busy night.

A coworker recommended Billy’s to us and we went i believe a total of 3 times, and I went on my own a couple times. While my coworkers and myself were out for a drink on St Patty’s day I must say the drinks were pretty good. How long we waited to get them, was not. We called our waitress over and she said she would be back. It was pretty busy so we totally understood it takes awhile(We deal with patients in pain ALLDAY, so patience is something we all had), YET when we saw her again and flagged her down, she stated«I told you I would be right back». I let it slide because maybe she’s just being overworked. After flagging down a random waitress after not seeing ours for about 35 – 40 minutes, we paid and got ready to leave. Then our original waitress shows up and states«Some of you didn’t tip but for those who did, THANKYOU» I was one of the tippers but as soon as she stated that I wanted to take my tip and my money back. On our way out me and another coworker who did tip spoke with the manager and informed him that that was completely unacceptable. We all came and paid for our service that was pretty much crap and slow! I’m only now writing a review because I found out recently another friend had the same type of experience. I can’t remember the waitresses name but i do remember that there is a special drink named after her??? «___Koolaid» or something like that. its her drink or her fav. I LOVE the food and drinks… just not the service smh

They were better when they were on 320th. Once they moved locations it just kind of went down hill. The food is good, it usually is but I’ve seen a waiter fix someone’s salad with his bare hands. A total no no. During happy hour the happy hour drinks are extremely watered down and when you mention it to them they say«well yeah that’s why it’s happy hour» umm no that’s not why the it’s happy hour. It’s happy hour so you can get a good drink at a good price and be HAPPY. So yeah forget them and their rude staff. Customer service is everything.

I’ll be honest, not impressed. New location is not a good one. Tucked back in a corner and hardly visible from the street. New décor is great though. Nice, wide space and the tables/booths are comfortable. The staff was great. She did a fantastic job of taking care of us. Granted, it was the lunch service and it was pretty slow but she had a wonderful personality. The food was mediocre… at best. The salad was DRENCHED with dressing. So, so soggy and hardly edible. The wings were tough on some parts and burnt on others. The sauces they make in house, the 3 alarm reminds me a lot like Frank’s Red Hot. I feel like I’ve gotten better boneless at BWW, unfortunately. Will I be back? Probably not. Would I recommend? Maybe for the huge party space you can rent out and the service. But not for the food.

Nice atmosphere, beer is good, food is terrible. Seriously, how do you mess up a Cobb salad? Wth? Also, the onion«loaf» was not good at all. I would rather have regular onion rings or blooming onions.

I’ve enjoyed the«Billy Cut» slab of prime rib for years, accompanied with real mashed potatoes, crisp green beans, and a salad that was a meal by itself. Unfortunately that tasty favorite of mine all disappeared along with the old location. I love the updated décor and cleanliness of the new location but I’d gladly have the run-down old place back if it meant going back to the quality of food you used to serve. I’ve tried the new place at least half a dozen times, it’s getting worse instead of better. Poor quality food and higher prices. I’ll drive farther for a better cut of beef from now on.

My first time at the new location. Our server was friendly, but inattentive. Our sharing plates arrived with dirty cheese stains on them! The food appetizers were less than mediocre. We ordered Potato skins and calamari. Potato skins were dry and the calamari was overly salty and burnt. For our meal we had the French dip sandwich which was cold by the time it arrived, and my husband has the full rack of ribs which was tender on the outer pieces but the inner section, not so tender. The only person who seemed to enjoy his food was my son with his kids mac n cheese. I probably won’t be back considering how expensive it was and the food being less than decent with average customer service.

I do love this new location. It’s so much more modern and doesn’t feel so run down like the old location. It’s a casual place to go grab a bite with some friends. Their bar section is sectioned off in an elevated area so that’s nice. I got a burger with their homemade chips. The burger was good. The chips not so much. They tasted burnt. Nothing special about this place. It’s just a casual dining place with mediocre food. Don’t expect any fantastic cooking.

Went here to celebrate my friends high school reunion. It was packed I have to say, so that was definitely a good thing. The entry fee for this evening was 10 $ but I was fortunate enough to befriend one of the entry people who allowed me to enter and exit all night to get a breath of fresh air. The drinks were pretty freggin stiff, so I add brownie points primarily because of that. Didn’t order Any food, but I’ve Ben told they are good. Maybe next time.

I’m giving Billy a solid three. Came during happy hour, got an order of calamari(about $ 5) with a hef and tried a friends potato skins. Food is a-ok, definitely not top notch though. The breading in my calamari is honestly determining a lot of the rating since it was soggy and soggy makes me sad. But my friends potato skins were pretty good. Service however was friendly and accommodating and we went during a karaōke night which ended up being pretty awesome! I’d definitely come back on another karaōke night and just err on the side of caution with food. Perhaps just stick to the beer and the drink wheel deals. KARAOKENIGHTS! Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday!

This place is… Top of the tops lol. No just kidding lol. The happy hour here is amazing. 31 flavors of the large $ 2.00 margarita. Our wings were to die for. This is my happy spot. The ranch. Haha fantastic. The drinks perfect. Thanks Chris for a good time.

Gosh, 3 stars? It saddens me to give Billy McHales 3 stars. It used to be a solid 5 stars! What happened? My family and I ate here weekly. We always had excellent and consistent service. The food was always hot and fresh. It was always a pleasure to spend our money here, and leave satisified. Sadly, things started to slowly deteriorate. First, the food. The BBQ is so yummy. In fact, they have a few awards under their belt. However, other items have started to deteriorate in terms of yum factor. My last 2 prime rib dinners were not up to par, and I left not feeling good about my purchase. The meat was tough, and lacked the wow I used to get. Granted they moved to a new location, and it is nice inside… It just isn’t the old Billy’s we used to enjoy. I don’t give up on places, unless I get burnt about 2 to 3 times. I can say I have eaten here over 50 times through the years. I will come back and give it another try. I just hope I can leave happy, and fix up this review. By the way, the drinks are excellent, and the bar atmosphere is great! While they have been working hard to make themselves known as a place to drink, I am concerned they forgot about the kitchen. Perhaps downsizing the menu might be a start? Then, when the kitchen improves on quality, add some items back? I don’t know… I just feel awful for giving 3 stars! The owner works so hard too, and he is a great guy!

This was my first time here because I was taking my boyfriend out for his 21st, and their menu had the biggest drink selection. I had read previous reviews talking about waiting to be seated, or even noticed, and I will second that. We arrived at about 9:30ish, and it was very quiet, only about 15 people there, maybe. It took about 5 minutes before someone even noticed us. Probably because the servers are all in the bar area talking, at least the female servers. We had a male server to begin with at a table, but then he moved us to the bar because of happy hour, which was awesome. Thank you kind sir. The bartender was friendly. And definitely was engaged with some customers who were probably regulars, which is totally cool. It is definitely a place to go and drink and eat appetizers during happy hour. My boyfriend got the Juicy Lucy burger, which he said was good but the bacon was too crispy lol. The potato skins were definitely my favorite, and the onion ring loaf or whatever it’s called was good, but definitely for a group of 3 or more lol.

Positives: — Spacious, Open floor plan — Great Service — TV’s from Every Angle — Clean Cons: A limited menu with BBQ food that is done better elsewhere. From Steaks to BBQ chicken really this place doesn’t offer anything this isn’t found somewhere else at a better price and better quality. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking to grab a drink and watch a game but for a nice dinner I’d go somewhere else.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews. I’ve never had a bad meal at Billy McHale’s. We were very happy to see the new location open after we saw the old building being torn down. Obviously this place is completely different than the old location. The old location was getting tired and stale and Billy’s made a change for the better in my opinion. If we come for dinner we almost always get the baby back ribs. We were there on Easter this year after a family get together. We both decided to get the ribs, but then thought we didn’t need a full meal so we asked for to-go boxes when we ordered. The waitress offered to split our dinner and put the second order in a to-go box. That worked out great as we didn’t have to do all that food sharing and boxing at the table. I also like their prime rib. When we come for lunch we like their burgers. The onion loaf is also great. I don’t know about the bartender as we never sit in the bar, but if you have a problem with the staff you should speak to the manager. Nothing will change until enough people complain.

While my tip is factual, sadly it’s not anything to get excited about. Although I have not tried their margaritas, so maybe that’s a positive. We went because we received a flyer/coupon at the farmers market and were glad to hear it was under new management and didn’t realize they were moving. So we thought we would give it a try. Well, it was disappointing at best; serving assistant was awkward and food was not so good. I ordered their burger with the pulled pork on it and while it was a large burger, it was not as full of flavor as I had hoped. The pork was tender, the beef was a typical patty, the bun was ok, but overall just not good. The fries that came with it were previously frozen and tasted like it, I didn’t even bother eating them all. I had started with a salad, which was ok, nothing bad about it, but nothing great to talk about here either. We did order one of their onion loafs, which was what our coupon was for. Well, it wasn’t actually put in or something, our entrees came before it did. Our waitress corrected the situation and we finally go it. Not really that exciting, I do enjoy onions and probably the best part of the loaf(we didn’t eat but half of it) was making it into a hash the next morning. Probably the largest point to note, all of the sauces that we had throughout the evening tasted like they came from a jar; BBQ, Ranch, Blue Cheese, and whatever that was that came with the onion loaf. Whether they are made in house(which I doubt) or not, they just weren’t that great. The overall experience was not good, I left Billy McHales feeling greasy, which doesn’t happen very often, but sad when it does.
