Love this place. Best fried shrimp around. Snapper soup another favorite. It’s a down home local tavern. Nothing fancy but great food and ice cold beer and reasonable prices for generous portions.

Copperkettle a small very inexpensive and a limited menu the best thing on their menu is there fried shrimp can’t be beaten you get plenty of them french fries with coleslaw don’t have any salads, but they are absolutely fantastic The bartender which is the owner fills the wine wineglass up to the top not like it most restaurants where they measure when you get a small half of glass I also get the clams on the half shell raw fantastic can’t beat them there’s a lot of good value in this restaurant and I would certainly recommend

When we lived in Bensalem, KK was one of our favorites, especially for take-out. Hadn’t been back for eat-in in 2 years. Until last night. What a change for the worse. Oyster cracker bowl had about 6 crackers. Horseradish so jammed into the jar that it went all over the table when spooning it out. Waitress couldn’t have been less interested in doing her job: she mostly sat at the bar on her phone while talking to bar patrons. We specifically asked that the order be fried LIGHTLY. Well … Fried mushroom like little doughy marbles. Seafood combos had thick breading and were very overcooked, except for the very good scallops. I love baked potatoes, and this one was the worst I’ve ever had: small and armored. Cole slaw excellent. Waitress disappeared. No offer of «another drink,» extra napkins, water, nothing. $ 67.00 for disappointing food and service in a dingy, dirty dump. Ugh.

Went there tonight. Food was okay. Waitress was rude. We asked for more oyster crackers and she took them off of another table… with people still eating. Service was SLOW, waited a half hour for a diet soda and an ice tea. My son ordered a beer and got it right away. Won’t be back.

Got take out. Got the seafood combo and it was horrible. The flounder and fries were under cooked and the shrimp tasted terrible. In addition to tasting terrible they had a long hair a fixed to them. The last time I got food from them everything was burnt so I guess under cooking my food and adding hair to it was their solution. What’s that saying, once bitten twice shy… no more chances. No more.

By far the best seafood place to go in Bucks County. Staff is always friendly and polite, the beer is always cold and you can always catch our sports teams on tv. Could use some updating inside but its a great old school neighborhood atmosphere! A+++++

The Kopper Kettle is a real old time local tavern. Im 54 and remember it as a kid as one of my parents fav go to place on a Friday night. We decided to try it after about a 25 + year hiatus. Its as good as i remember. Small and tidy is a good way to describe it. We had the snapper soups and broiler flounder and I had deviled crab. Nice proportions and very well prepared. Very good seafood here. The cole slaw was awesome too. The snapper soup is a MUST have. Best I ever had

The crab cakes were good. Being from Baltimore, I know crab cakes. However, the shrimp salad was more like celery salad with shrimp in it. There was too much celery and they were very large chunks — not finely chopped as it should have been. The tables and chairs need to be replaced. The tables had chunks out which snagged my clothing. The chairs were torn and dry-rotted. They definitely need to remodel.

This is a restaurant that is easy to bypass for a multitude of reasons. Not an architectural wonder and a dumpy looking exterior. Perhaps we ordered on an off-night, but I despised our take-away. The fragrance of grease so permeated the air that one could smell it from the street. The shrimp was positively grease-laden. Based on the positive reviews of other experienced Unilocalers, we may give this place another chance at some point.

Excellent food, excellent prices. New England clam chowder soup here is incredible. Fried shrimp is quite good as well. Laid back, friendly restaurant. Staff was very helpful. There’s a small bar in here as well. It would be nice to see some special craft beers on tap there sometime, but the drink selection looked pretty average when I was last there. Regardless, definitely one of my preferred restaurants in the area. I Highly recommend stopping in. And don’t be afraid to order their assorted seafood platter. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been going to Kopper Kettle for decades. Although the place is not aesthetically pleasing, they have the absolute best snapper soup and fried seafood! I love snapper soup and try it everywhere I go and have never found anything that compares. And although I don’t eat fried food too often, I always come here for the fried shrimp plater or the combo(minus the lobster). it’s so good!!! Even the cole slaw is my favorite! The bartender and servers are the same friendly faces that have been there for as long as I can remember. The beer is cheap and they also have a full take out place on the side of the restaurant.

Gotta say, for a small place out in the middle of nowhere, great food! We showed up with 12 or more people– Rose handled us– difficult task– but the seafood is fantastic here! The raw clams were the best I have ever had — anywhere! They have a fish soup that is rich and fantastic–(get a cup if you’re getting a meal… hearty!). Kept poor Rose workin her butt off and she was bringin the drinks and couldn’t stop with the food and dealing with a roudy crowd. We filled the place up but enjoyed every minute of it. Great value, great food. This is not just a pub with pub food. It’s a simple place with great food. Our hotel recommended it so thanks Crowne Plaza for the recommendation. Will be back for sure when in the area.

Was not a fan of the service. Orders came out wrong. Once everything was corrected, the food was nothing to rave about. To add to it all, we were almost ripped for $ 20 after getting our change back. Not planning on returning.

Let me start off by saying that I’ve only ordered from the Kopper Kettle via take out. I have never tried the eat in restaurant, mostly because of the lack of desire to sit in an old dingey restaurant.(Just look at the other reviews here.) That’s okay though, I’m totally fine with ordering take out and eating delicious food in the comfort of my own home. One of my favorite things there is the fried shrimp platter with steak fries. The shrimp are huge and are fried just so perfectly… greasy and pleasing. Also there are few places in this area that even offer steak fries, let alone good ones. They even sprinkle a little old bay seasoning on them… Mmm. I have also found myself addicted to their New England clam chowder soup. Although I usually love what I order, there are a few things I wasn’t too impressed with. I tried one of their crab cakes a la carte and it was all lump fake stuff. If there was any crab in that thing it was hiding among a sea of mushy ickiness. I also tried their deviled crab but only because it came with a seafood combination platter. It was very similar to the crab cake in that there was nothing crabby about it. It was all fake mush and I couldn’t wait to take a drink so I could get rid of the flavor. Overall, their seafood is pretty delicious and it is a treat to order there. I will just stay away from the crab and stick with the fried shrimp.

Old crusty, dusty, run down charmer with good bones and no shine. This restaurant/bar/takeout establishment that has been around at least 40 years and has not changed in the least. The servers are pleasant and the food is good. You can’t go wrong with the seafood or sandwiches. I think their burgers and fried shrimp are great. The crowd is diverse. They are also known for their snapper soup which I have not tried. If you’re in the area and feel like diving then take the plunge.

You have to check this place out! My boyfriend lives literally down the street from this place so we frequent it weekly. It is just a nice quiet place with a bar attached. You can take out or stay in. It is a nice little seafood restaurant with great neighborhood people. Can’t ask for better than that. The prices are extremely reasonable especially for how much food they give you. They accept credit cards which they didn’t always. That always helps. If you are taking out, GETTHEFRIEDCHICKEN! It is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend’s parents get it at least once a week and trust me, I never miss that dinner!

I would love to give them another star, because it is great food that counts and the food is very good. The prices are incredibly low, especially for the portions you get. It is a dive, a local favorite place to eat and drink. The«restaurant» is also the bar and where everyone knows your name, sound familiar? Dine in or get take out from their attached building, where you can also grab a six pack of beer. The food is very good and freshly made. If you order a shrimp salad sandwich, you will eat it for two days! It is outstanding! The crab cakes are some of the best I have had, loaded with lump crab meat and very little filler. The fried jumbo shrimp are plump and delicious! I usually ask for a crab cake and fried shrimp platter, where you get one nice sized crab cake and plenty of shrimp. They are known for their snapper soup laced with sherry. The cheesesteaks are good, according to hubby. This is one place«where you get what you paid for» is an exception to the rule, in fact you get more than you expected. There is little atmosphere, unless you are a people watcher and then there is a lot of atmosphere, laughs and smiles. They do allow smoking but they have huge smoke-eaters, that seem to do their job. The food is very good and the prices are ridiculously low for the portions and quality of the food. They only accept cash and they have an ATM inside. Restaurant is not handicap accessible, the lower take out shop is.
