To be honest I’m at willy D’s right now and I’m pretty drunk, but they just did a wonderful tribute to Prince. They’re dope all the time though. Definitely a place to visit if it is your birthday or a friend’s.

Best atmosphere on Dickson St. The most rocking bar in town. The rotating pianists are always a great time. The main guy with long hair and beard specifically kills it every time with vocal versatility and a lack of care for censorship. Always a great time.

By far the most fun bar on Dickson St. Instead of just being a bar, it’s a dueling piano bar. This makes it more of a show and even though there is a $ 5 cover on weekends, it’s still worth it. The pianists are fantastic and know 99% of the songs you request. Plus they sometimes even play other instruments, like drums, guitar, harmonica, etc. 10⁄10 always a good time.

Willy D’s offers outstanding interactive entertainment that can win over the most diverse and demanding audiences. While the primary instrument is obviously pianos, they have a wide span of talent to include drummers, guitarists, and even a harmonica. The pianist reads the audience well and knows how to get folks engaged in the fun. The waitresses are attentive and my glass is never empty long even when it’s busy. If you want to laugh, then this is the place to go.

Had a blast at this piano bar. What an energy! The showmen are both very talented musicians and great comedians. Great ambiance, great waiters. I asked for coffee which was graciously offered as well. The guys playing the tunes know every single songs known to man.

Willy D’s is a great place to get your evening started. They have many different places to sit and they are good for groups. It is also good for couples. The prices are reasonable for Dickson Street and the service isn’t bad. The music is pretty good but can get pretty loud. The musicians are very entertaining and they work well with the crowd. Get there early so you are able to get a good seat. They fill up fast. The costumer demographic is pretty narrow(not very diverse) and some of the people that pass through there don’t seem to have much class. Try not to let that ruin it for you.

Pretty fun piano bar. Guys are amazing; playing any request, knowing all the words and music. Occasionally they add in a drum man also. The show is interactive and they encourage singing along. Definitely a fun place for drinks. Service was slow to non-existent. We wanted to order food but a server never came around. We bought our own drinks at the bar, and even that was slow.

While Willy D’s is closed currently, as Rob suggests, The bar is just moving, and remodeling a location near where they use to be on dickson street. Apparently it’s suppose to be much bigger, and have a full menu, rather than just bar food. I hear they are going to be done with remodeling by new years 2011⁄2012.(or so their facebook says) anyway. If you’ve never been, I believe the piano players are staying the same, and if they are, it is an incredible experience. Go. For sure.

Sadly, Willy D’s is no more. It is now«Fix Ultra Lounge». And my god, does it suck balls. I used to live in Austin, TX, and i’ve been to sixth street just a time or two. Fix is like someone went to sixth, and took every crappy element of every crappy«ultra lounge» and combined them into one epic failure on Dickson. To begin with, last night was the only time i’ve ever been asked to pay a cover anywhere on dickson. Fortunately, i was there for an event, and didn’t have to pay cover. I’m not saying i would never pay cover on Dickson, but i’d better get a lot for my money. yeah… Not. So. Much. Like all such ultra lounges, it is extremely dark with modern-esque furnishings. It might be a pretty room if lit properly, but as it is, you can barely see who it is you are talking to. And its not so much talking as it is shouting over loud club music. The DJ booth is front and center, and it dominates an entire wall of the club. There is very little seating, as, in theory, the rest is all dance floor. Fix also featured a seemingly pointless fog machine, and an inside temperature that had me sweating just by walking from the door to the bar. And then once i got to said bar, i got the joy of paying $ 7.00… for two Budweiser longnecks. $ 3.50 longnecks. Are. You. Fucking. Kidding? You want to charge me $ 3.50 for a pint of Sam Addams Octoberfest, ok, that’s fine. But for a bud heavy longneck? I don’t think so. Willy D’s was cool. Willy D’s was fun. Fix is a pretentious, loud, hot, dark, overpriced douchefest waiting to happen. Avoid it at all costs, and instead, patronize one of the other fine bars on Dickson, like Sideways, Farrell’s, or Brewski’s.

Fun times. 30’s crowd normally except Thursdays(dollar mug night = college students). Hard to find a seat.

Best place to go on Dickson if you’re trying to find a spot for a mixed group of friends with differing tastes. This place has the best piano players in town and the show’s always a good time. Get there early if you want a seat, especially on Thursday $ 1 mug night.

Willy D’s can be a really fun place to go in a group. Talented piano players who know how to interact with the crowd create a happy and entertaining atmosphere. Be prepared to fight for a table — weekends are always packed and they never seem to have enough waitresses, so expect really slow service. There is a cover charge, but it’s not much and usually worth it.

Great! The other reviewer implied that there is no cover. I was there that night and there was a $ 5 cover. Someone must have paid hers. There is typically a cover and therefore I usually don’t go because there are other places that I can have just as much fun at that is free and cheaper. If you surround yourself by awesome people then even a ditch can be fun. All that aside this place does have a cool atmosphere and if you are entertaining people who don’t go out much this place will wow them. It gets crowded fast and like I said there is usually a $ 5 cover and if they expect it to be super busy I’ve seen it up to $ 15.

Willy D’s — what a great savior of a St. Patrick’s Day night on Dickson Street. A couple of coworkers and I decided to head down to Dickson street when we were in town over St. Patrick’s Day. We wanted to sit out side to enjoy the awesome weather, so the first outdoor seating we saw besides Hog Haus was Froggy’s — big mistake. Headed next door to Jose’s for some predrinking food — second mistake of the night. Luckily, Willy D’s saved the day!!! We almost missed out on Willy D’s since it is quite a hike up the road, but we saw a neon beer sign in the window and after we walked in and out of every other bar on Dickson, we figured, why not one more?!? As soon as we walked in, we realized it was a dueling piano bar. I thought it would be a no go since it was a Tuesday, but we asked at they bar and they said music would start in 15. We ordered up a round of drinks, which were pretty darn affordable — $ 5 for specialty frozen drinks such as margaritas and daiquiris and $ 2 for domestic bottles… and most amazing of all, no cover! Huge plus since Howl at the Moon in Chicago has a $ 10 – 20 cover and drinks are like $ 10 a pop. Anyway… the musicians were great! There were 3 guys who rotated between the two pianos and occasionally all got on stage at once and added drums. They played all of our requests and kept the crowd entertained with a special birthday song for a guy celebrating in the audience. Tara our waitress was also great. She kept everyone’s drinks full, and managed most of the bar by herself! Not to mention she was ultra friendly. We stayed for about 3 hours and they didn’t even take a break. It was such a surprisingly great night out! We were all glad we stopped in when we were ready to thrown in the towel, head back to the hotel, and call it a night. Make sure you stop by Willy D’s next time you’re out on Dickson! My favorite place hands down in Fayetteville.
