Best BBQ hands down. I used to live in Little Rock where the first Whole Hog opened in AR. It quickly became a favorite too. Not sure if this location does it, but the one in LR would give their leftover food to the homeless. No wonder they’ve won so many awards… great pulled pork, smoked chicken, ribs, and the potato salad… so good!

After craving BBQ and searching for the place to satisfy that, I came upon the Whole Hog café… Tucked away into a strip mall off of College. Your are immediately made aware of their trophies… They have a lot of trophies… So you are at least confident that this won’t be terrible. The girl at the counter was friendly and informative. There’s plenty of options here, but I decided to go with the 1st one: the Pulled Pork sandwich. As you can see, it was hefty. You have your choice of 7 different sauces, I went for #2(after sampling them all). The sandwich was perfect, I have zero complaints. The cheesy corn(new one for me) was corn with a cheesy queso like sauce. It was pretty tasty! The potato salad was also spot on. I think I’ve found my place my BBQ.

Always like to try some place new but we probably won’t be rushing back for more. The pulled pork was good, very tender and flavorful. Didn’t care for the sauces that were available. Coleslaw was not very flavorful but the beans were pretty good if you like a tomato flavor. Tossed salad that was a side was very small.

Me and my boyfriend have been coming to this place for years, it’s always our go to place for ribs. While I’m sure their pork, brisket, chicken and other meats are fantastic I’ve only ever gotten their half slab of ribs with potato salad and baked beans for one simple reason… It’s the best. The meat is so tender that it falls off the bone, every single time. They also don’t skimp you on the meat or the amount of ribs they give you, I’ve gotten half slabs with a nice heavy set of 7 ribs. The potato salad is something to brag about as well, since it’s ranch based with bacon in it I mean how can you not like it. They have trophies lining the room and they have the food to back it up. Simply amazing!

The barbecue here is great! I really like the pulled pork. The ribs fall off the bone and are delicious. They have seven different sauces to choose from. The volcano sauce is my favorite.

I’m from Memphis, so of course I’m picky about BBQ. This place has won several trophies, including some from the Memphis in May BBQ championships, so I knew it would be a great place to try! You order at the counter, get your own fountain drink, and wait for your order number to be called. The pulled pork, nachos, and potato salad are all fantastic here. The potato salad is the best I’ve had anywhere. They also have 6 different sauces to choose from, so there is something for everyone.

I had the pulled pork and coleslaw plate meal. The pulled pork was tasty, but a little drier than I would’ve liked. What was especially good was the selection of six BBQ sausages, each of which has a number. I mixed number one(which is sweet) together with number two(a little spicy) and created a great combo. The interior decoration is nothing to talk about, it’s rather plain. The biggest negative of the entire experience was the girl running the register that checked us out on a Sunday afternoon. She was very unfriendly, Whole Hog really needs to do better job of training people that interface with the customers. Overall, I still liked the experience.

WOW!!! They have quite a few awards for«Best Barbecue» in Arkansas and in Fayetteville. Now that I’ve tried it, I know why! My wife and I wanted to try barbecue while in Arkansas and we found this. AMAZING!!! I got the combo plate with cheesy corn and potato salad. I tried all six sauces and liked them all. I still haven’t decided which is my favorite. The potato salad was hands down the best I have ever had! My wife and I did all but lick our plates for the fantastic flavor. I will definitely be back if I am ever in the area.

Very solid BBQ all the way around. The pulled pork is a standout. I’m not a potato salad fan, but enjoy it here. Six sauces on the table, all quite good, but ask at the counter for some spicy sauce if you want to spice it up. Downgrade from four stars to three. I was in town and stopped for some bbq. The portion size was smaller and the bun was extremely stale. Hopefully it was an exception to the rule.

I love Whole Hog in Fayetteville and in Little Rock! They cook meat like masters and they offer 6 sauces to fit different people or different meats. I love the chopped chicken or pork. I also like the ribs. They have an awesome potato salad with meat in it… It’s ridiculously good and I usually don’t like potato salad.

My visit was an absolute disappointment. The young woman taking orders set a negative tone, then came the real disappointment… the meal! I should have known the bar-b-que would be broiled meat when there was no sign of pits in the store front mall. The meat(especially the brisket) was severely over cooked and had the flavor of cardboard. The beans were a poor rendition of baked beans and the roll was a cold packaged mess. I suggest that the owners go on a trip to Lexington, Texas, and visit a true bar-b-que place. I regret that my wife and I ate at Whole Hog. It was a bad, bad experience and NW Arkansas deserves more!

It is very hard to please me with barbecue, but I come to Whole Hog for ribs mostly. The pull pork is not bad at all for the area and Whole Hog is in my top 3 barbecue joints in Northwest Arkansas. The nice thing about Whole Hog is they have plenty of sauces so everyone can find one they enjoy. Unless you want vinegar based sauce.

This BBQ is on point and they work hard to be recognized for it. The pulled pork is some of the best in Northwest Arkansas and evidently also the USA. They offer several sauces with different base types that are sure to please any kind of BBQ fanatic. The pulled pork sandwiches are loaded with meat can be served«Memphis style»(slaw on bun) if that’s how you’uns like it! There is plenty of space for large groups and they also cater. The interior is decorated with awards and trophies they’ve earned in battle. This is a must eat for any BBQ lover in the NWA area.

Smoked meat and sauces are pretty good, but not anything that sets this place apart than any other BBQ. Order at the window, get your drink and listen for your number. Décor is plain and drab. Lots of seating, but only three other people here at the time I ate.

I came in so excited and left disappointed. I had the pork and brisket and both meats were DRY. I tried to drench them in sauce to no avail. Brisket was also tasteless. Sides were solid, beans actually fantastic. Either the meat was leftover from Memorial Day or cooked way too long.

I’ve eaten here twice and both times the food was delicious. These guys seem to really know their BBQ and have won some impressive awards for their cooking! I had the pulled pork sandwich plate which came topped with coleslaw and accompanied by two additional sides. I chose baked beans and the potato salad. The beans had a nice taste and the potato salad was sour-cream-based which was different but quite tasty. My BF had the special — the pulled rib sandwich — and said it was tender and flavorful, but he thought they were stingy on the single-scoop portion of baked beans(he’s from Texas). My aunt said she really likes the chicken, but this time she ordered the nachos and wasn’t too impressed. My uncle really likes their ribs. They offer six different BBQ sauces which can be found at each table so you can try them all. It was a difficult decision, but I think I like number three the best. I’ll just have to go back and try them all again :). I was a bit disappointed in the décor — a generic, concrete-floored, formica-tabled affair with only one dead animal on the wall.(Half a hog? Really, wouldn’t a WHOLE hog be more appropriate?) I enjoyed the ambient lighting but some wood and maybe a stuffed opossum or armadillo would be a nice touch(guess I’ve been in Texas too long). Oh well, it’s still a great place to eat and I look forward to a return visit!!!

One of my dear friends who is a pilot flew this to Los Angeles where we live and we had a FEAST. He brought home 3lbs of pulled pork, two slabs of ribs, potato salad, coleslaw and beans. 6 of us destroyed it!!! The potato salad is so unreal that it made my mouth water!!! There is bacon in it. I have never heard of something so fabulous. I have never Unilocaled about a place that I have never been to before BUT I felt it was my duty to let everyone know how awesome their food is. I how no idea what Arun below me is talking about. He is acting like he grew up in Beverly Hills.
