Great place to watch a game. I went during winter break so I didn’t get the full U of Arkansas experience. BBQ is pretty good but too much Lawry’s!

Never been disappointed here. Service is hit or miss. I wouldn’t say it’s top notch but never had a big issue. Ok bbq. The bbq nachos are huge– I’d recommend sharing them. Easy parking in the front & back. They have a wide variety on the menu: salads, catfish, BBQ potatoes, ribs, smoked chicken etc. Ok BBQ sauces. Laid back atmosphere & several tvs

We are always excited to eat here when we come to Fayetteville, but our experience tonight was disappointing. We were seated in the bar area– which started off fine, but I’m guessing our server was also a bartender because the bar got busy and we didn’t see her again until our meal was over. My daughter ordered a pulled pork sandwich and there was hardly any pork on the sandwich. I ordered the pulled pork dinner with sweet potato tots. I can’t believe they let the sweet potato tots out of the kitchen looking like they did. They were completely burned. I asked for another order and the server brought them. Usually the service is great, but our server brought our drinks, took our order and then only came back to bring the ticket and take a dessert order and take the dirty plates away(they had been sitting there 10 minutes). I wish the food presentation had been better and we had seen our server a little more often– because of that I gave 3 stars. I would still recommend going. Food is great. Service is usually great.

Food is tasty and I love sitting on the patio when the weather is nice. The atmosphere inside isn’t my favorite so we don’t go unless we can sit outside. The pulled pork is delicious and they have lots of sides to choose from. The wait staff is pretty chill so we feel like we can hangout for a while without causing problems.

It was very busy at 6:00 on a Saturday night but we were seated quickly. The pulled pork dinner, loaded potato salad and baked beans were very good. The fried okra was delicious. There are 5 different sauces on the table and all are good. The wait staff is courteous and efficient. I think next time I’ll try the wrap.

We love sassys, the food is always good and the service is as well. The mooo pig sooie is a damn good burger. We have been multiple times and there is only one thing that has disappointed, the brisket tacos. They were delicious, but the brisket tasted like taco meat not brisket. It’s like they used taco seasoning for the brisket. I expected a brisket flavor not your typical taco flavor. Drinks are good, atmosphere is good. Fried mushrooms are amazing, we will definitely be back.

The pros for Sassy’s are definitely the portions, prices and atmosphere. The con the flavor is just ok. You definitely get your money’s worth the portions are massive especially for the price. I came here with a group of four and all of us had leftovers(and we came hungry!). We each tried a different dinner: pulled pork, beef brisket and chicken. But, the flavor in the BBQ and the sides left something to be desired. The loaded baked potato salad was the highly recommended side by our server — the flavor and texture of this side just fell flat. All that said I would likely still come back for the atmosphere. It’s a great place to watch a game with friendly people and good service.

Posed as an upscale diner, Sassy’s Red House is more like a roadhouse. The chicken fried steak isn’t the best I’ve ever had. My husband had the fried catfish, which was pretty good but the tartar sauce should be avoided at all costs. It’s a very small space so if you don’t want to potentially be sitting directly behind a stranger, literally back-to-back touching, find a different place to eat. The fried pickles were really good and the server was great, so I gave them three stars.

Took the whole family to Sassy’s to retreat from the cold Razorback game. They were quick to offer warm Irish coffee and appetizers. I ordered the BBQ baked potato and it was yummy. Great TV views from all areas of the restaurant. I would recommend it for good eats and to watch a game.

Sassy’s Red House is one of those local gems. It’s unabashedly Arkansas Razorback-centric, owned and operated locally. When we got there and walked in, it definitely gave of a country vibe. Music was country and look was rustic. However, it was clean and all the fixtures were quality, and it was an enjoyable & relaxed atmosphere. I was really surprised by the bathrooms. So many of these types of places have a basic bathroom that you really don’t want to use. But the men’s room(and I’m told the ladies’ too) was all modern equipment, very clean, and with a nice little plant on the vanity. How bizarre, but good for them. Anyway, you probably just really care about the food… We started with the fried pickle appetizer. I expected to get a bunch of pickle spears that had been breaded and deep fried. But to my delight it was a big olé basket of breaded, deep fried pickle slices instead. I’d swear that they just opened a jar of slices, dumped them in their breading, and then deep fried the whole mess. But oh it was good. With all that surface area per slice, you got a ton of flavor. What was especially good to me was the tartness of the pickling vinegar came through with the coating on each one. A great balance of tart and fried. My meal was 1⁄3 rack ribs, fried okra, sweet potato tots(came with a cinnamon sugar dip), and Texas toast. Ribs were really good. Tender, but with still with a chew and connected to the bone so that you ate them off the bone. The rub was above par. Sauces were on the table, and I usually always sauce my ribs. But these ribs had the final glaze with the right amount of their flavor rub over it, so that I ate most without adulterating them with sauce. Okra was meh — obviously just poured out of some big bag of premade frozen ones. Sweet potato tots were rather interesting. Just like a tater tot, but sweeter of course. I alternated using the dip, because that almost made it like dessert. The wife and daughter got the same thing — pulled pork, fried okra, mustard potato salad, and Texas toast. Pulled pork was exemplary — as any BBQ joint should have. Oddly, it came with dry rub sprinkled on it, too. That wasn’t bad, if a bit jarring when you ate the pulled pork. Potato salad was top notch, if again a standard that BBQ joints should achieve. Overall, a good experience — enjoyable place, good food — very good for the pickles and ribs, and a good price.

Went here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Let me first say that my only complaint is the restrooms are tiny. Other than that I had the Beef Brisket Sandwich for lunch. It was awesome. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender and it was smoked perfectly. I chose fresh made fries as my side and they were wonderful. If you ever travel through Fayetteville and want some good BBQ this is the spot to stop.

It’s a shame that I love two blocks from this place. I came here a year ago and had a burger. I had food poisoning from my burger and it’s taken me a year to come back. I realize why it’s taken me a year, bad customer service, food is fried or tasteless, and just dirty. It took my boyfriend and I 10 minutes to order a drink, then another 7 minutes to get wine. I ordered water, but never received it. My boyfriend asked for sweetener and got a a packet when he was down to his last sip of tea. It’s disappointing because it could be a great place to eat and sit outside. I will never come back here no matter how nice their patio is. Owners need to train staff to have customer service and food was so so. By the way, I was going to leave zero stars but I was forced to leave one in order to submit my review.

The atmosphere is perfect and the smells are incredible. The big danger with Bbq places is they do a lot of things average instead of a few things awesomely. Sassy’ has a little of that going on. The ribs are the show stopper here. Dry rub ribs are incredibly delicious and worth the order. We had the catfish as well and it was wonderfully battered and flavored. The brisket was a bit on the dry side and tough. Flavor was good but nothing to write home about. Wings — oh my goodness. These were incredible, maybe the best I’ve ever had. Smoked chicken wings that fell off the bone. What an incredible taste. Must order these. Sides — waffle fries were good but okra was average. Service — outstanding. Great waitress and speedy food.

Excuse my cliché here but… I lived in Memphis for 27 years so I know good BBQ. My mom and I were staying in Fayetteville for a night(I live in Siloam Springs but wanted to check out Dickson Street and the Razorback stadium) and we went to Sassy’s for dinner. Right off the bat it was HOT inside the restaurant. It felt like the air was not even on and it was the end of July. That was the worst part of the visit though. We sat at the bar and the service was good. We got our food and drinks fast. We ordered a half portion of the barbecue nachos for an appetizer. Those were *amazing*. For an entrée we shared a combo with pulled pork and chicken. The chicken was okay. Nothing spectacular about it and it was good with bbq sauce on it. The pulled pork was better, as were the loaded potato salad and okra. I would go here again but I would get the nachos as an entrée!

Went on Saturday afternoon in mid July. It was hot in the restaurant. When I asked if they could turn up the AC, the manager replied that it’s July & when the doors open, it keeps it hot inside. I eat in restaurants in the summer all the time & they manage to keep it cool. I only complain if it’s so hot that I can’t order a hot meal or enjoy an alcoholic beverage. They should’ve just apologized and said they were working on it instead of saying it’s July & it’s going to be hot. I’m not stupid. Other restaurants manage to stay cool. Now for the real review. BBQ nachos were amazing! No domestic draft beer on tap. Service was good.

After a long day of graduation ceremonies, we ended our day at Sassy’s. Our party size had shrunk from the planned group, but it was a nice way for the families hang out one last time before heading out the next day. Having grazed all day my husband and I weren’t all too hungry, so having perused the menu earlier in the day we went in with a game plan. We split the sliders(6) with two of each slider and couldn’t pass on the loaded baked potato salad and fried okra. Each slider was loaded with meat(chicken, pork or brisket) and it was an opportunity to mix & match the sauces depending on my mood. Being a girl from the south, I love fried okra so it’s hard to disappoint. Sassy’s okra was good. But the winner was the potato salad. I don’t know how to describe it, but I will try. It’s like a chunky potato salad, but mixed with cheese and served warm. All I can say is it’s good and it’s definitely worth trying. After sharing a couple of appetizers with the table, sharing an entrée was the best way to go. The portions are huge, but the food quite tasty. Go in with an empty stomach or be prepared to take some home.
