Choosing to «Live the Vue» was the worst decision I made all school year. I live in the larger town homes in the back that truly have a great view. However, it is all down hill from there. We will start by mentioning the fact that there is a train track 40 feet from my front door, that everyone neglected to mention when I signed the lease for one of the most expensive units on the property. It wakes me up at least a couple times a week at 4 a.m. The build quality is horrible, I have experience with renovating and building homes and these apartments are below builder quality. The first time it rained my apartment flooded because they had not checked the building for roof leaks since they built them. None of our doors are hung correctly and most of the time they will not latch, you have to turn the dead bolt to keep it shut. Earlier in the year we had a mouse infestation that I had to take care of myself, because I called the office and asked them to send pesk control, their exact response was«Go to Walmart and buy a Trap.» They did end up sending someone out, 8 days later. The maintenance and ground keepers are incompetent employees who ride around on their golf carts all day and pick up the occasional piece of trash with their little grabby arm, but only if they can reach it without getting out of their cart. In the winter, if it snows or sleets, plan on not leaving your apartment for a couple days because the hill becomes impassable. It is no ones fault, its just inconvenient. I am 10 months into my lease now and I have only seen 2 of the 10+ amenities promised to us and that is the shuttle to campus and to Dickson st. and the sad excuse for a dog park which they built 8 months after we moved in and only took an outside contractor a day to fence. NO Pool, Clubhouse, Gym, Golf Simulator, Computer Room, etc… etc… Maybe in 3 or 4 years the Vue will get better management, finish its clubhouse, and actually be a nice place to live. But, that time is not now.

This place is awful. Management can never give you a straight answer. If you call for help all they say is «we will let our office manager know.» They do not tell you if you have mail, and since our mailboxes are not available for ourselves to access yet, that is kind of important. They have been telling us that the clubhouse would be ready since september 30th, it is december and it is still not ready. There is not enough parking. Maintenance just barges in without notifying you that they are coming. You can hear everything that goes on around you, especially in the«fancy» villas. They are falling apart, yet they are brand new. Sometimes, if you put in a maintenance request, they tell you its not that big of a deal, and when they«fix» things, most of the time they make it worse. The only semi decent thing is the shuttle that takes us too and from campus, but the morning driver is not nice what-so-ever! The afternoon guy, Sal, is however fantastic. DONOTLIVEHERE. ITISSONOTWORTHIT. ITHASBEENNOTHINGBUT A GIANTHEADACHESINCEDAYONE. would give it zero stars if it was an option.

The Vue management is superb! I have worked with The Vue management in releasing my apartment as I changed my housing situation for the fall. They have been fantastic in everyway — updating me regularly on the progress of possible new tenants, always available to speak with me on the phone and very congenial and pleasant on the phone. I know that The Vue has been delayed with the new construction and deadlines for move-in, but prospective tenants should know how accomodating and professional the management is. You will not be disappointed!
