I got a sandwich to go. Pricey and I wasn’t offered any BBQ sauce and when I got home there wasn’t any in the bag. Okay. Unfortunately the meat is tasteless, I didn’t taste anything that might remind you that this was supposedly BBQed, I don’t think it was. The bun tasted straight out of the generic bakery bag, not flavorful not even toasted, Two bites, I’m done.

If my ribs tasted as good as that place smelled I would have given them five stars however it didn’t. I ordered the three rib special that came with two sides, beverage and a roll for 8.99. Though the customer service was awesome and the ribs were so tender they were falling off the bone the fact still remains that this is a barbecue restaurant serving meat that doesn’t taste barbecued.

I visited Dickeys for lunch and ordered the 3 meat special. It came with pulled pork, slices of brisket and 2 ribs. Serves me right for coming in on a Monday; all the meats were cold and over cooked(probably leftovers from the weekend). The only 2 things that were warm were the fried okra and Brunswick Stew. $ 15 for an unacceptable meal. My suggestion to customers is «don’t go on Monday» and to Dickeys«give customers fresh food not leftovers».

Absolutely terrible. We waited 15 minutes just to get our order in, and there was only one person ahead of us. The staff was incredibly rude, and it took another 25 minutes to get our food. The food, by the way, was not very good. Greasy, and poorly made. Avoid at all costs.

Wow this was one of the worst experiences I had at Dickeys. At 630pm they are out of turkey out of sausage and the ribs I got were so dried out they should be embarrassed to sell them. Very disappointed won’t be back

The service and complimentary soft serve ice cream are the highlights. I ordered the ribs platter($ 13.95 with two sides and a roll). The 5 bones came with a streak of BBQ sauce and were perfectly acceptable for chain BBQ. The problem was the two sides I selected: Brunswick stew and jalepeno beans. When it comes to BBQ joint sides, I heavily emphasize the stew since macaroni and cheese is hard to butcher. The Brunswick stew was an orangey, chunky concoction that I could not stomach for more more than two bites. The jalepeno beans were not much better and only had the slightest hint of pepper. They were basically beans with accidentally spilled pickled jalepeno juice. Given the name and potential for excellence, this was an utter disappointment. The roll was hard and worse than a glob of microwaved dough. The sauces I tried included that red BBQ, spicy red, and Carolina mustard. The spicy red was the standout, partially due to the utter failure of the other two. The bottles Carolina mustard was thick and flavorless, like a stake bottle of Dijon. Dickey’s has a daily deal for under $ 10 with tax that would have been a better option. And perhaps I did not select their best sides. But for $ 15, including a small drink, this was not a good BBQ experience. Negativity aside, the ribs are pretty good and may result in a good meal when coupled with the right sides.

I hate hate hate to give this place 3 stars because the food is well worth the money. This is my 2nd visit here and the first time was really great but I went for a visit tonight and the service was horrible. The staff was rude and made me feel uncomfortable almost made me not want to spend my money with them. Then one girl is yelling at another employee I’m going to take your phone away from you because apparently he’s busy texting on the phone. The staff is young and apparently not customer service friendly what a shame…

I was so glad when they opened in Fayetteville. Our town was really lacking in good BBQ! We have been so impressed with the consistently good food that this chain puts out. The brisket is so tasty and I love the Smokehouse salad! Lots of sides to choose from, so even if your not a Brunswick stew fan you can get onion tangles or waffle fries! All very fresh and at the end you get free soft serve ice cream. But what I am most impressed with is the service, the owners really go above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable! Hope they are around for a long time!

This is the best place to eat in fayette all the meats are tender and the waffle fries are better than chick fla get a free ice cream cone when your done I get two lol the westerner with chicken and pulled pork is my favorite watch out they like to sneak pickles and fresh onions on to your sandwich so if your not a pickle onion kinda person let them know when you order fried okra is so good along with the baked potato casserole the staff is polite and owners are usually around to make sure your happy and everything works smoothly their not many places left like this so its definitely worth the price!

I love BBQ Brisket. I went into Dickeys somewhat skeptical that I would experience authentic and flavorful brisket. I was greeted by a friendly young man who was obvioulsy passionate about the food. I was served with an abundance of great looking and flavorful brisket. In addition, the restaurant provides on their condiment table at least 3 different flavors of BBQ Sauce — all of which were equally well made. I favored the original BBQ Sauce.

I feel like I’ve been duped. This place is packaged nicely – like you’re about to get a good olé southern barbecue meal. That was not the case. I had the barbecue sandwich, Mac & cheese & green beans. Where do I begin? The barbecue sandwich was dry with no real flavor. So I put a little barbecue sauce on it to make it edible. The bun tasted like it was fresh out of a bag – untoasted, no butter… It was just bland! The mac and cheese was just ok. It reminded me of Velveta. The green beans were bad. They were unseasoned, they weren’t warm. I mean how do you mess up green beans? You can go to any hole in the wall in the area and get better BBQ. This just wasn’t a good dining experience for me, but the sweet tea was good.

I am happy to see Dickeys in my town. Tried the beef brisket for the first time and loved it! Now it is my new favorite. Must get the fried okra and Brunswick stew. Onion straws are also good. Both winners. I don’t love the Mac and cheese-kids will though. My family of 4 always get the Family Meal for $ 24. Great value. Yummy sweet tea and free soft serve ice cream after the meal. Owners are present and very friendly.
