Fantastic food! Drive 2 ½ hours and no regrets. Great staff, owner is wonderful and the waitress, Tia, was a delight.

Great German food. And a good variety. Of German beers. Location is on Murchison but don’t be scared of this homely and vibrant restaurant. Waiters are all professional and kind.

Two visits for me. Wonderful authentic food. I just spent two years in Germany and can attest. Of course the draft beer exceptional. My roulade freshly made and delightful.

Ok so the Reubens was really really good but we would not recommend the curry wurst. When it came out, i was hopefull but the bratwurst tasted like a normal hotdog and the curry sauce looked and tasted like thick ketchup. Everything else was pretty decent though.

Das the best. This place was completely empty when we walked in but I can’t imagine why. The waitress was so accommodating and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The food was delicious — we got grieben, a soft pretzel, two beers(a good selection of German beer, btw) and the beef brisket and the Rahm schnitzel. Well done, das bavarian haus. Well done.

Well I came in on a positive mental state. First no German speaking staff. Second, this was a very American Restaurant. What I mean by that are the ingredients were not German quality. You can taste it in the food. Flour, vinegar, spices are all US products. Red cabbage is from a jar. Dumplings are floured with general flour. It was just a bad taste all around. I am glad I tried it before bringing my German family here. Gordon Ramsey would stroke out here. Someone tried at one time but this place was a major let down.

Went there today for the first time. Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for our food. But the waitresses made sure we had enough bread and drinks while we were waiting. The owners apologized for the wait as well. The food was ok. I had the Jägerschnitzel with Knödel and red cabbage. The schnitzel was delicious just didn’t like the cabbage. I’m German so I think I’m just used to it tasting different. My husband ordered the Wurst plate with home fries and Spätzle. No complaints here. All in all a nice place with a great atmosphere. The owners even provided us with some live music!

If you want good food, go here! I haven’t been to Germany so I can’t say on it’s authenticity, but I do like good food. First of all, the location is «out there» but the inside is kept very clean. We sat at a booth where I could see into the kitchen. Everything was clean and organized – a good sign of any place. The owner came by to ask how everything was and the waitress was very attentive. We shared the 3 sausages(we had one of each) and Jagerschnitzel. The sausages were great and all very flavorful. The Jagerschnitzel was huge, thin, and very crispy without being greasy. It tasted like it was made fresh. For the sides, we ordered spaetzle(with gravy), potato dumpling(with gravy), red cabbage, and sauerkraut. The spaetzle was light, soft, and flavorful. Ususally, spaetzle isn’t my favorite side but this was well made and delicious. The potato dumpling was good but definitely better with gravy. The red cabbage was soft and delicious which is my favorite. The sauerkraut was crisp and had great flavor. One great thing about the gravy on the sides and the schnitzel is that they didn’t cover the whole items in gravy. Each item was flavorful independently(and not like it was slathered in some sauce to make it taste good). We will definitely come here again. And although I’d like to try other items, we’ll probably stick with the great food we have already tried!

Decided on the Jagerscheitzel with Spatzel and Red Cabbage along with a side of cucumbers. Mary ordered the Rueben with German Potato Salad. The test will be if these dishes are any where near as good as Mary makes. Service was prompt with the one waitress but only five tables with one finished. Mary said the Rueben was good. She told the owner that on the next visit she was going to try the Rouloden. My dishes were large! The Jagerscheitzel was cooked right and the gravy was fine. The Red Cabbage was different but I ate it and it grew on me. The cuucumbers were good. Next visit we try thr Brauts.

Been here twice and it’s been great both times. Food is great and you leave full. Very clean and the couple that owns it are extremely nice. Definitely a place I’ll continue to go to.

Delicious and authentic German food! Best schnitzel I’ve had since I was in Austria. Not only is the food good but the owners/operators take a personal interest in your dining experience. During our Sunday lunch we were treated live piano music and beautiful singing. The food takes a bit longer to come out than your normal chain joint, but it’s very obvious everything is homemade from scratch. Also recommend the sauerkraut and bratwurst.

Raised in Germany so probably have a higher standard for good German food than most. Service was good, but the food was so bland and tasteless. My husband got the Reuben and I had the Jaegermeister schnitzel with red cabbage and Bavarian potato(Knödel). The reuben was standard, the bread was the best part but there was way too much thousand island dressing. The schnitzel tasted like nothing, the gravy was more water than actual gravy and the red cabbage tastes like bottled red cabbage from the commissary. The couple who run the restaurant are from Oklahoma so this isn’t really an authentic German restaurant.

I have found my new German restaurant in Fayetteville! Started off with wonderful warm brotchen(bread). Then came our entrees: Schnitzel paper thin and perfectly lightly breaded, mushroom sauce like a hunter loves, red cabbage with a hint of apple and cinnamon, huge soft pretzel with a wonderful German seft(mustard), and of course a favorite German beer of mine on draft, Paulaner Hefeweizen! One of the owners, Vicky, came out and sang as my wife played the piano they have! She has a wonderfully trained vocal range! Everything was without a doubt flawless in every aspect of German cuisine that I am used to from the Hesse district of Germany. I cannot wait to try other dishes! A must for any lover of European food!

Best corned beef I’ve ever had. just from the look and taste u can tell its a high quality cut. The pommes fries are awesome .the portion sizes are bountiful and the prices are reasonable. I will be going back when I get the chance and as far as all the other reviews and out it being desolate and empty all the time u guys r there at the wrong time I work close by and the parking lot is pretty busy around dinner time and it wouldn’t hurt if everyone doesn’t believe wat they hear about the murk it’s not the whole road that’s bad just certain spots and neighborhoods around it

Decided to venture out to the murchinson. It’s really a horrible spot for a restaurant. Everyone always warns you to stay away from the Murk. We went for lunch and it was completely deserted. I really wanted to try a dinner plate but they didn’t have everything on the menu prepared so opted for the Ruben. I got a side of cabbage and potato dumpling thing. The Ruben was legit, the sauerkraut was mild. I love Rye bread. The cabbage was decent, had cinnamon in it so a little different. The potato dumpling was a bit gummy but the gravy was nice. It’s a little kitschy as the waitress and the chef were dressed on costume, or maybe that’s Bavarian clothing. I would say, nothing better than the other little German eateries in the area. Definitely not a fancy place but worth checking out once. Id like them to succeed but sometimes, it is all about the location.

Every time my husband and I come, we are reminded why we loved Germany so much — friendly staff, good food, and typical German environment. Love coming here. Can’t wait for the Biergarten!

Definitely glad I got to try this restaurant out. The service is super friendly and hospitable and the food is filling and tastes very much like what I remembered of Germany. I got a jaegar schnitzel and chef/server was very thoughtful placing the mushroom gravy sauce in a separate container so that my schnitzel wouldn’t get mushy. The red cabbage was excellent and the pomme frites(fries) were deliciously seasoned. It wasn’t too busy, but I hope word spreads because it really is a homey place to get great German-American food. The location may be off putting but the welcoming environment and great food more than makes up for it.

I have even driving by here for months and meant to give it a try. The parking lot was empty and we were the only people there when we came in. The atmosphere was very nice inside with German music playing. The service was good, with the chef coming out to check on us after we got our food. I had pork tenderloin with gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, and baked apples. It was absolutely delicious. This place has all the makings of a great restaurant. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much advertising and is not in the best location. Despite this, it is worth a visit. You’ll be happy you did.
