Do NOT go here for tattoo removal. I have been there a few times throughout the years and I have hideous keloided scars where they lasered me. I did not want cover up tattoos, but I had no choice but to get huge cover up tattoos on a few of the tattoos they treated. Botox is also massively over priced here. Dr D is sweet, but there are better facilities.

Highly recommend Shellie for any massage needed. I had a prenatal massage a few weeks ago & am going back for another. Very clean, friendly & professional!

I used Dr. Dickerson’s office for a laser tattoo removal session and the whole experience was awful. I experienced severe burns due to the incompetency of the technician. After I realized that the wounds in my back were not normal, I attempted for 3 weeks to get into contact with someone from the office to come in, my call was never returned. The receptionist finally said take this email address and send pictures and a technician will get back with you. I never received a return email. It took 8 weeks for the wounds on the laser site to close. I visited another clinic in Raleigh where the nurse there told me that she was aghast at the wounds and stated that it was obviously a gross error on the part of Cape Fear Aesthetics. I now have huge red and raised scars on the area where the laser touched. When I talked to Dr. Dickerson about the issue he smugly told me there was nothing I could do and that it was completely normal(as he looked at the horrific scars on my back). Please do not use this clinic, they do not have professionals working for them and I will have to live with these scars forever. If you want a successful tattoo removal, please visit the place I am going now. Bodylase Skin Spa in Raleigh, it is worth the drive to have a flawless removal. The registered nurse there is assisting me in removing the remaining ink(although the shape of the tattoo will be there permanently scarred into me). Not only is Bodylase charging me significantly less than Cape Fear, I had a completely normal session with Mary, healed in a week with considerable decrease in the amount of ink left in my tattoo. Please please do not make the mistake I did, you will be scarred and without surgery the scars will remain forever. This place should be shut down.

Meh — is being gracious. My friend and I stopped in Cape Fear Aesthetics to inquire about laser hair removal services. There was a new receptionist and I can completely sympathize with someone learning the position. We both wanted to make an appointment for a laser hair consult. We had to provide a credit card to hold the appointment(no issue w/that), but for whatever reason it took us a RIDICULOUS amount of time to finish making the appointments. Augh… instead of just entering all of the info into the computer after we were told a time and on our way, the receptionist was struggling through every.little.thing. meanwhile we are waiting… Finally, I asked if she needed us any longer since I am not sure why we needed to stand there to watch our information sheets be entered into the system. Fast forward two more days, I received a message my appointment would have to be changed due to double booking. For real? It took ALL that time to make an appointment and it was screwed up?! I called back and my appointment needed to be moved up 30 minutes. Okay, fine. Why didn’t they just say that on the message instead of MORE hassle. Same day, I received a text message«reminding me» of my appointment with the PREVIOUS time. Augh… so, I called the office back to verify the time. Which time was it? The one they had given me a few hours prior on the phone OR the original time and the one on the text message reminder? I show up for my appointment and waited about 10 minutes to be taken back. It was the same two receptionists. I actually asked the girl if it was always that much of a pain in the ass to make an appointment or if I was just«lucky». Apparently, she didn’t get my sarcasm because she started blabbering about being double booked all afternoon. I thought that was a little odd since I was the only one sitting in the waiting room, but whatever. The esthetician takes me back and goes over a brief questionnaire, then starts to get the machine prepped. Wait, I thought I was just there for a consult. The esthetician said she could do a treatment that day. Sigh… I was never told that in my several different discussions w/either one of the receptionists. Ordinarily I would have been happy to just knock it out, but I couldn’t that day. Had I known, I would have done it. So, I scheduled an actual treatment for the next week. Show up, again I sit in the waiting room and can hear every conversation between the receptionists, receptionists and patients on the phone and receptionists and patients in the lobby. That really bugs me. I go back for the laser treatment — no issues. I am familiar w/laser hair removal and I can say this laser hurt way less than what I have experienced. I need to wait to verify the results. When I went to the front desk to pay, the lady asked if I wanted to leave a tip. Listen, I am a decent tipper VERY rarely under 20%, but it is so tacky to be ASKED for a tip. As far as the practice as a whole, I have no idea. My main gripe is w/the incompetence of the receptionists. However, someone has invested a lot of money trying to make this look like an upscale«medispa». The biggest thing they need to do is train their staff and put up some glass(or some privacy mechanism) around the receptionists. People in the waiting room should not be able to hear other patients discussing private medical information. I would think the practice would be more sensitive to this since they also do cosmetic procedures. Cosmetic procedures or not, patients deserve privacy. One other thing that irks me personally — this place advertises they specialize in everything from ear, nose and throat surgery(apparently one of the doctors has advanced training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery) to breast implants, weight loss and hair implants. Hmmm… It makes me cringe when a practice claims expertise in such a wide range of care. I am not saying they aren’t capable or licensed to provide all of these treatments, but it makes me question which ones they really are EXPERTS at. If I had a heart attack, I would rather see a cardiologist instead of the optometrist. I wouldn’t want the guy who does breast implants 90% of the time doing my nose job(no, I am not getting a nose job!). My point is, I have no idea what they are truly great at because according to their website and literature in the office — just about everything!(Sigh)… Not saying I will NOT return, but certainly open to another place in Fayetteville. If I needed an actual medical procedure(something less superficial than laser hair removal), I would shop around. You aren’t missing anything here. One star(because I had to give one) and the second star for the 10% military discount and the honest attempt at a spa-like atmosphere.

Dr. D and the staff are very professional. I feel safe and have been very happy with the facial treatments I have received here. They understand skin care and treatment. I was suprised with a pre and post microdermabrasion skin care preparation. It just makes good sense. Dixie C.
