I ordered a take out of Portobello ravioli with cream sauce. The flavor was pretty decent, it came with the side of sour dough bread and herb crackers.

Had a really great lunch here! It was the Mediterranean shrimp dish and it was four star worthy! Although I just sat at the bar, the bartender was really nice and the menu was pretty impressive. I wasn’t expecting much, but this dish was memorable enough that it left me wanting more! I really do want to come back and give this place a full dinner experience that it deserves:)

Sunday afternoon, Mother’s day and the place was hopping. Lots of families with older parents, lots of young families with new moms and the bar was full of couples trying to avoid the families. We were a party of 6, we had a reservation and were seated promptly at a table for 10 but only had silverware for 5, our friendly waitress came over, introduced herself, made a few jokes and asked if we would like something to drink while we reviewed the menu. We ordered a couple of pitchers of sangria. The ladies in the crowd liked it, the guys not so much. Everyone ordered something different, 6 different entrees and while the place was busy, it came out relatively quick. Different waitstaff brought the food, they stopped look at a piece of paper and then started passing it out and walked away. The dining party started passing the orders to the correct recipients, no harm no foul. The entrees were very good, everything was at the perfect temperature and well seasoned. During the course of the meal, the waitress kept wine and water glasses filled. She checked in with us a few times but was never obtrusive but then again she couldn’t because she was hustling to her other tables in other sections of the restaurant. The ladies in our group ordered coffees which they liked but didn’t have spoons to stir the cream and sugar. they used their straws from their water glasses. A couple things to note 1) everyone has seen those signs in bathrooms that say«employees must wash their hands before returning to work», well in this restaurant, the kitchen staff take that to heart and the guy in the bathroom looked like he was scrubbing up for surgery. 2) while there was many waitstaff stations around the restaurant, those stations are stocked with napkins, fork and knives but not a single spoon. A good place to eat just not the best day to visit.

We stopped in for lunch on Saturday on our way for a little retail therapy. We had eaten at Brio in Las Vegas so we were somewhat familiar with the menu. We both ordered«pesto pasta» which was considered one of their«lighter» meals. It was absolutely delicious. The sauce was light but full of flavor. The pasta was served piping hot and obviously just cooked for us. Our waitress was attentive and our meals were served promptly. I’m not one to eat in national chain restaurants but this was much better than most.

We went here for lunch and grabbed some outside seating to enjoy the sun and 74 degree weather. The outdoor seating area is a good size and looks like it would be great at night — I noticed lights and heaters in the awning above. Now that the important details are out of the way(if you’re like me, food tastes better when eaten outside so outdoor seating is important) we can cover the food. Food is great overall — salads were large and tasted fresh and were clearly made with above average ingredients. The pesto pasta was good, but held back by a thinner than expected pesto sauce(they said it was a «light sauce» but I could barely taste it). Deserts were a highlight — the chocolate bread pudding and caramel marscapone cheesecake(small plates) were outstanding; sweet without overpowering you and just the right size. They let you choose 3 small deserts on a plate, which is a nice way to sample and share without going overboard on sweets. Children’s menu items were right-sized and above average — no giant serving of greasy fries here. They also brought out small plates of pizza dough for the kids to shape their own pizza dough while waiting for food. They then cooked the dough during dinner and brought it out to the kids after the meal. We don’t live nearby though if we did we’d try the brunch at our earliest chance — not to mention dinner; there were several other menu items that looked good we want to try next time around. All in all, this is a great choice whether you’re grabbing lunch on a trip to the mall, or making a trip to this place specifically.

For $ 100 for two dinners, one drink one dessert, I felt like there were several little things that tho could improve on. They should offer extra grated Parmesan on caeser salad. Crackers with lobster bisque. Water was never refilled. The restaurant was not busy, so that was not the problem. The butter served is a hard square. There should be horseradish sauce offered with lamb chops. While the lasagna was huge and tasted OK, it lacked seasoning. I wouldn’t go again. But the cheesecake was delicious. My second favorite in CT, first being juniors cheesecake.

Choose happy hour at Brio over sitting in rush hour en route to Hartford? Don’t mind if I do! Fatigued at the mall? Need a quick boost? Brio is probably your most solid option for a quick bite(definitely not PF Chang, ugh) and the fact that they have a nice happy hour is incredibly appealing. After making a few quick stops yesterday around 5pm, my friend and I retired to the Brio Bar with some housemade chips and onion dip(dangerously addictive) and some of the best white peach sangria I’ve had in a while. The bill for the two of us came to something like $ 14. Pretty awesome. I’ve had heartier meals here that I wouldn’t go out of my way for but if you need a break from West Farms shopping, this is the best choice in the area.

When we arrived there was a 45 minute wait so we went to the bar area. We asked someone to clean the table off. One waiter took some of the things from the table but last the remainder of the things. Another guy finished cleaning the table but barely wiped it up. Another guy came behind him and thoroughly cleaned the table. After 10 minutes of waiting we had to ask for menus. The guy looked at us and said in a minute. He simply said he was not our waiter. A member of my party went to the bar to order our drinks. Someone brought the drinks over to the table. After all of this they sent an African American gentleman to our table named Marquez. He redeemed our experience. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and quick. It almost felt as though they sent the black dude to the table of black women. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Marquez is to be commended.

Came in late afternoon for early dinner after shopping. Immediately seated and attended to. We got a complimentary appetizer because it was our first time here and really enjoyed the roasted red pepper bruschetta. After that we had lobster bisque with real lobster. I had lasagna and Seila had the steak salad. Both were fresh and generous. The Riesling is really good. Service was commendable — thank you Morgan! Until next time we’re up in this area.

Only 3 stars because the food is good and the waitress was extremely nice… I come here with some frequency for brunch. Consistently something is wrong. Today we came in, 1st customers in the restaurant. Drinks came out fast and we ordered the eggs Benedict. My brunch partner asked for hard poached eggs. Unfortunately they didn’t make them properly. The waitress and the manager were great. Even offered a new plate that took another 12 min. They offered to sign us up for their rewards card and the waitress(who was awesome) had to use her phone to sign us up because the computer was broken… not a great day for Brio but the food was good.

Three stars food for food, but extra star because our server was superb! Also, her team wasn’t too bad either. But more importantly, food. We ordered a good amount of food, as seen in the photos. We enjoyed it. I had the lobster ravioli with the shrimp. It was good, and the portion was pretty big. My family really, really thought everything was good, so I think it’s just me thinking it was just good. Of course we got extra bread to slop up some remaining sauce which was a nice touch. No room for dessert after all that bread. I can only comment on one drink, which was the gin and cucumber drink. It was okay. For happy hour, I could see myself sipping on this along with their discounted apps, only for the bar area though.

Brios is one of my favorite restaurants. I usually go at least once or twice a month. I work at the mall so afterwards I always go in for drinks and appetizers! They service is always great, they know their stuff. The calamari is one of my favorites, so yuuuum! The drinks are fab too. They’ve got awesome prices for drinks and appetizers after 10pm! Which is my fav time to stop by.

We had a great meal here and the waiter(wish I remembered his name but he just bought an Acura) was super professional while still being friendly. There are no specials just featured items. Yea, it’s a chain. But the food is really good. The atmosphere is super loud so we had to shout to have a conversation but certainly if you’re at the Westfarms mall this is 100 times better than getting a pretzel.

They are very friendly. But the place has a bad smell! I think it’s the cheese smell. We had a salmon salad and lasagne. The food were ok.

Brio is my go to spot for team lunches. I’ve gone in groups as small as 4, and as large as 30. They always do such a good job. They always have your table ready, and if your party is large enough they’ll often tag team you with two servers for better service. I really cannot say enough about their service with large groups. So many restaurants fall down in that area. The food is always cooked perfectly and there is always perfect spacing between courses. Mezza chicken limone is my personal favorite. Two big pieces of chicken in a lemony piccata style sauce, with mashed potatoes and yummy grilled vegetables. It is enough for two meals for me. Yeah, it’s a chain, so it’s not as though there is an Italian grandmother in the kitchen slaving over the sauce all night, but all in all, it’s good solid food. Highly recommend if you’re in the Westfarms area for either lunch or dinner.

This place was A-OK! For being in the mall, it is quite fancy but when I go out for pasta. I am going out for pasta. I want big portions and for the price you pay at Brio, you deserve big portions. I ordered the chicken milanese for my entrée and it was good. The chicken was crispy and it came with herb pasta which was delicious. It needed a lot more sauce though. My friend ordered the crabcakes which she adored. She especially loved the horseradish sauce, but was not a big fan of the veggies it came with. My other friend ordered a shrimp dish and the shrimp were TINY. Super tiny. I was expecting bigger shrimp for what he paid. I would have been really upset if that was mine. Overall, without drinks or apps we paid $ 80 for dinner. Too pricey.

Atmosphere is nice. Food is just ok. Had the Italian wedding soup-overcooked and mushy. The shrimp with orzo and spinach was fairly good. Shrimp cooked great. Glaciers were just ok. I wanted to like it more. Maybe next time.
