Andy’s is my favorite place for down to earth Italian food. My favorite is their eggplant rollatini-it is absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I have eaten in the restaurant and gotten takeout and both have been great. We also used them for catering and were very pleased. The service too is always top notch.

Good place for lunch or a quick take out. Their menu has quite a few options for vegetarians like me. I ordered grilled eggplant sandwich and eggplant parm with chips /salad tasted pretty good. I would definitely come back. Cozy little place with friendly staff.

I came for lunch and I will definitely come back! The vodka penne was delicious! I wish I took a pic but I devoured it.

Traditional Italian fare cooked perfectly. Don’t overlook the calzones! I have going there for years and have always had fast friendly service.

I can’t believe the amateurish cooking done at this place. I cannot understand how they got even 3 stars! Ordered chicken that was so dried out and old tasting. Definitely not fresh. Ordered two take out meals and both were wrong. Limited menu and mediocre food at best. Probably took family recipes and cooking is a hobby.

In quiet remote plaza across from Uconn medical center, cute little Italian eatery. Was the first time there, came up on a search… Decent pizza, I don’t care for all of the thin crust around this area so it was a nice find… Only flaw was that the underside was kinda soggy. I’d say order well done and I could really enjoy… Will try that next time, fingers crossed! I’d also like to try some of the other dishes there. Seemed like a good menu, fairly priced…

Small little restaurant, great place for lunch. Wait staff is friendly and attentive, no complaints. Got the buffalo chicken calzone, very good, small portion. Bread was awesome and the chicken was grilled instead of breaded. A guy I was with got a pizza with chicken, he had nothing but good things to say about it and it looked good too. I will be coming back for sure to try a sandwich. Oh and a small note, editor split the checks for us without us having to say anything… awesome.

I’ve ate here twice now and the food is pretty decent. The main clientele seems to be near by businesses and medical office staff. Service is inconsistent. First time was prompt and the second time I went around 1pm was dragged out. Food came quick it was the service that was slow from even acknowledging that we were even there to finally taking the order. then getting our drinks out like a second before the food came. On a good note the coffee was excellent.

I’ve eaten here twice, once with friends and once while on a date. The first time I went, I ordered a chicken parm grinder with marinara and lots of cheese on it. It was good, but I also remember it being on the pricey side for a lunch, around $ 9 – 10. The second time I split a pizza with my date, which was cheaper, but the pizza was also very average. There is much better pizza to be found all across the state. I’d say it’s a decent lunch option if you work in the area, but nothing to write home about.

Found the reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I am an out if town traveler and got the baked ziti to go. I asked for some crushed red pepper and I’m not sure it made it into the sauce but it was still excellent! I’m going to eat here next time I visit to try some more dishes!

Great choice of wraps(turkey, roast beef, chicken caesar, ham, tuna, mediterranean) on white or wheat. All of the wraps are delicious and distinct. Wraps come with chips that I’m assuming are made in-house. They are pretty good but could use more seasoning. The pizza is so good you could order a plain cheese and be happy. The calzones are great too. My first choice for lunch in the UConn area.

Almost two years since my last review, I had to update. Consistency makes a business thrive and Andy’s is consistently on the money. Whether you’re ordering chicken wings or chicken parm, a pizza or pasta meal, the food is delicious and the fried dough is all that and more. Recently we had two sheet pizzas made for a party and I received more compliments on the pizza than I ever imagined. My wife and I are regular patrons of Andy’s and whether it’s a Friday Night or Saturday Night, we know we’re going to have a fantastic dining experience. We plan on using Andy’s catering menu for our next party in a few months. Don’t change a thing Andy’s. ..

Sooooo sllloooiowwww. I’m hoping the food is good. 25 min later got the to go. Gt the steak grinder. Was decent with good flavor. Sweet potato fries were a little soggy. Granted to go but they put lettuce garnish under them which gives off more water. Salad was tasty and light. I think the place was just a little disorganized and could use more people. Will get take out again, but will call ahead first.

I had the shaved steak grinder. It’s was excellent. Tasty and tender beef. It comes with lettuce and tomato which is not the norm for a toasted steak and cheese, but really works well with your taste buds for this occasion. I really enjoyed the grinder and would most certainly order it again

I eat lunch here regularly, and while I don’t often stray from the pepperoni calzone I haven’t had a bad meal here. OH and the bread is always warm and delicious!

The food is excellent and well prepared, containing the freshest tasting ingredients. I have been going there for several years primarily for the pizza although I have had a few of their dinners which were quite good. The place has a very comfortable feel, and a friendly capable staff. It’s clean too which is a bonus these days. I’m originally from NYC so I have a pretty good frame of reference when it comes to pizza. Andy’s is definitely my go to place. Try the Sisters Pizza and have them add spinach. The food here is consistently good. No highs or lows…

The staff here is very nice, and the tables were all cleaned off. For a decent price, I had a great, filling meal! I ordered the penne al vodka, which came with a salad and some bread. No real complaints about any of it. The service was spot on, the food was fresh(and VERY tasty) and the overall experience was very positive.

I am giving it five stars based on the fried dough with tomato sauce!!! Fried dough with tomato sauce is a CT thing for sure. I have never seen it anywhere else. Everywhere else it seems to be served coated in sugar. That’s great for dessert and all, but if you have never had it with tomato sauce and sprinkled with parmesan, you are missing out on a great guilty pleasure. This place has been doing it right for decades. The location is back in a strip mall a bit, so they miss out on some foot traffic, but that only means less crowds to fight! If they ever close down, I hope they sell the fried dough recipe.
