Kmart

2 cashiers (2 lanes) out of 7, there’s 12 people waiting in the line. It’s long wait than normal! I won’t come back again :-(

In an area with a lot of newer and trendier stores, this Kmart has hung around at this location for a long, long time. I always drive past it and smile just because I’m happy to see it there.
It went through a slow period where the selection was pretty bad. However, service has always been good. The cashiers sometimes don’t say much but other times they are friendly and always pleasant and the same goes for staff in the rest of the store. I think that a lot of them have been working there for a long time and I hope the store survives just so that people don’t lose employment.
Kmart also has pretty good pricing on home goods and bed and bath items. This tends to be where I see a lot of people shopping here. The place, however, is always pretty empty on weekdays.
I hope more people support this location. I just went in out of curiously a few years ago to see what they had and I was surprised. I’m a fan now.

love this store! always well stocked and extra clean bath rooms. great mgr. and employees. i find everything here and then some. i would highly recommend shopping here. unlike target, they have great clothes and shoes.

Ok… so first I must admit that I’m a closet Kmart hater. I don’t know what it is, but something about that store just bothers me… from the moment I step foot in the place. Actually I think it starts earlier… it actually starts from the moment I park my car. Sam’s Club… Gibralter Trade Center… these are some other stores that give me the same feeling. I don’t understand it, so don’t ask me. It has nothing to do with service or the clientele… I’m just weird.
Anyways. Came here the other day to get some potting soil and little Terracotta pots for some indoor planting. Pots were super cheap and potting soil… well I’m not really sure what’s a good price range for it because this is the first time I’ve ever bought it. I got a couple other things, and aside from them not having blender bottles, they had everything else I was looking for.
Everytime I come here, there’s hardly anyone in the place. It’s kind of nice because then you don’t have to deal with crowds or checkout lines. I like not having to wait or secretly wish I could push someone out of my way. The cashier (Brianna) was friendly and helpful. And I also like that they have reward points where you can save a couple bucks off your total bill. I think I ended up saving $ 4-​$ 5.
I guess I’m gonna have to hurry up and get over my Kmart-​phobia.

Oh my… My boyfriend made the comment I’ve got three chapters written in my book. I was puzzled and asked, when did you start that? He replied, «when we started standing in line». That about sums it up. At one point we even changed lines only to run into another cash register fiasco! We decided the aaa batteries were not worth the wait. 20 minutes we will never get back, but at least could have a good laugh.

Wow the prices are great in comparison to a lot of other places! Snacks were half the price and they have a great $ 1 aisle. The selection is not that vast, but they have something of everything for sure. We will go back.

I stopped going into this KMart many years ago. It’s very disorganized and dirty. The employees have not been trained in customer services. It’s really too bad this store takes up so much valuable real estate along Orchard Lake Road because it would be nice if it were replaced by a cleaner, higher quality store.

If they ask you to sign up for Kmart rewards you better say yes. I said no thank you because I would not be returning to that Kmart nor do I love close to a location and the attitude I received from the cashier was almost unbearable. Beyond rude!

Customer service at the counter as in the old K Mart — Bad! Confusion as to what prices are. I got a wrong price at the register and I was the one who went to the shelf to verify. When I got back to the counter I WAS TOLD «REGISTER CLOSED». I went to Target and no problem.
