One of the worst BBQ places I have ever wanted. Decided to use doordash for a pick up order. the ribs were tough and with no flavor. I had to add salt and pepper. I almost tore out my tooth trying to eat the was like jerky and the sausage taste like store bought. I will never eat hear or recommend this place ever again. They don’t know bbq. I can’t believe anyone that would leave good review on this place. Yuck!!!

Love this place. Great bbq. The chicken sandwich basket is my fav. The employees are always friendly and interactive with the patrons. There are different bbq sauces in the dining area to choose from. Try the KC Bbq sauce…

Food is good for a lunch stop… Kind of like a discounted Dickey’s but a little better. Had the turkey, you get lots of meat!!! Not the best bbq that I’ve had but it definitely gets the job done.

Their beef brisket is tough and lacks flavor, I would eat elsewhere… …

I like Marshall’s. The meat is consistently above average. The sides are fine. The people are super nice. And the price is fair. What more can you ask for from a neighborhood establishment? Maybe live country music and a quaint décor? Oh, they have that, too. This place is comparable to Dickey’s or Sonny Bryan’s or Mike Anderson’s or any of the other plate meal style BBQ places around the area. I don’t think this is the type of place you need to drive out of your way to visit, but it beats the other options in the NW Dallas/Farmer’s Branch area.

I got some takeout from Marshall’s the other week so this is from a take out perspective. Ordered one of the family meals. I got some brisket, sausage, ribs, and threw in some pp. For sides I got the baked beans and mac. The guys working the counter were very nice and helped me out with deciding what to get. It was a Sunday and we got free cherry pies to boot. Food was good, not spectacular but good. Baked beans are more the vandekamp variety but tasty nonetheless. Present was the standard all you can grab condiment bar. The place could use a little refresh but again I didn’t eat in store.

Good BBQ in Farmers Branch! Small town feel and great people! I love the baked potatoes and their pies are the best!

The salt and pepper shakers were caked with hardened goo, and I had to remove the lids to get any out. When were these cleaned? Then I moved the table slightly out from the wall, and this mass of old crusted food that had been sitting there dislodged and fell to the floor. Eww. I’m supposed to eat here? The busboy was using a towel caked with old food, and used it to pickup plates then didn’t bother wiping the table down. The sides on the food line hadn’t been stirred all day, and you could see a thick gooey crust on the top of most. The brisket we got had the consistency of chopped beef, and all the sides tasted fresh out of the Sysco can.

The food is good but the prices have gone way up. The restrooms need a renovation. They are disgusting.

Simple, down-home, country BBQ place. Large servings, variety of sauces, quality meat, friendly service, free wifi, complimentary soft serve ice cream, and excellent value. Good for the whole family.

This place used to be good. Used to be a great place for a good quick lunch. But not any more. First they have decided to Jack up the prices as well as cut down on portion size. Then today I saw a lady take back a bowl of Mac and cheese because after a few bites she didn’t like it and the guy behind the counter took it and RECYCLEDITANDPUTITBACKONTHELINE for other people to scoop up. She took several bites of this Mac and cheese salted and peppered it and he put it back. That is just nasty. And that got me thinking about how my brisket tasted a little old and dry so how long was it sitting around or returned to the pile. Long story short this is a good way to ruin a good place. Back to MLK drive you go Marshall.

I was traveling for work about a month ago. I went with a friend for lunch and I have to admit at first I was a bit skeptical it look a hole in wall from the outside. But once I got inside I felt better. The place certainly has a «country» feel to it. I had a BBQ combo plate and it was awesome. There were 10 different flavors of sauces. The cobbler was wonderful and the staff was as friendly as can be. Next time I am a back I will most certainly go back!

The brisket and pulled pork were extremely tender and juicy. I would have liked more flavor in the meat itself, but there were nine sauces to choose from, so a little something for everyone. Service was great, but the décor and atmosphere were a little bland.

Split the sampler, plenty for two. Visited on Friday night, live entertainment was a nice treat.

Just a little below average tasting barbecue. Not good but not terrible. Brisket was a little dry. Chicken didn’t have much flavor. Mashed potatoes were ok. Green beans were plain. There are much better options in DFW.

Our last dinner in Dallas and it was the best. The service was excellent. I would recommend this place to any one. We are from«Memphis» home of good barbecue and this restaurant is a good place to eat.

I’ve been to Marshall’s a number of times and I must say it is consistently delicious. I usually get the combo plate(with brisket, turkey and sausage) or a sandwich plate. I most recently visited during my limited 1 hour lunch break and had my food served hot and quickly, just to my liking. I had the sliced brisket sandwich with potato salad(SO good) and corn on the cob. I enjoyed their variety of flavored BBQ sauce(spicy, hot, sweet, thick, I do not remember their names!). I finished the meal with a nice helping of banana pudding, and returned to work feeling full and comforted by a personal favorite. The reason why I’ve rated them 4 out of 5 stars is because every time I visit, there are a few house flies zipping around. It’s bothersome. Other than that, it’s great.

Found out about this place when they catered lunch where I work. The ribs were amazing! So I had to go the very next day. Twice. Once for lunch with co workers who couldn’t make the catered event the day before, and later to pick up goodies to take home for dinner. Both times, the staff was cheery and friendly, the food was terrif, and the service was spot on(it’s cafeteria style, but attitude is everything!). Prices are pretty good too, so I’ll surely be back. After all, it’s on my way home!

I would consider this Bar B Q place as «below average». esp. considering all the talented places in the Dallas area. I had a rib«lunch». Ribs weren’t that great. They weren’t horrible. but there wasn’t a lot of meat on the ribs and they were pretty«hard» on the outside. so kinda like«rib jerky». The sides weren’t anything elaborate either. a pretty mild selections of sides and some nasty old silverware. I may go back to this place because its close to one of my clients. but i definitely wouldnt go back other than from convenience.
