Ate there for Chinese New Years with my girlfriend. It was busy and they only had one waitress on staff. She did well considering the circumstances. I ordered the crispy seafood noodles, the sauce was good but the seafood tasted a little bit off. When we got home later both my girlfriend and I had terrible stomachaches and they lasted all night. Too bad, I’ve been to the other locations and never had a problem. I’m never eating at this location again!

this is being posted becasue of their sister store in GARLANDTEXAS. this is the worst first chinese bbq on earth. they switched managers and she is extremely greedy, probably stealing money and pocketing money. the food is good the service is bad. the manager needs to be fired. i ordered 20 $ worth of food and asked for a chili sauce and a duck sauce with my food and they told me they are going to charge $ 1 extra each for the sauce. i had to stay with them on the phone for 10 minutes arguing why the hell im getting charged extra when im purchasing 20 $ worth of food. cheapskates. this isnt the first time its happened. they always try to be extremely greedy and charge you for every single thing. dont give in to their greediness

Not a good place. Does not meet my expectations. Ordered the curry chicken to take home. And … Just way below my expectations

Horrible horrible. Last Friday I called to place an order at 8:55pm. They didn’t answer until the third time I called. The rude guy picked up and told me they were closed. Wrong. Yall close at 9:30pm not 9. He hung up on me. I left it alone. Tonight I called and places an order at 8pm. Plenty of time. The lady tells me it’ll be ready in 10 minutes. I thought that was pretty quick. I actually arrive in 5 minutes to pick up my order. Whatta surprise. It was actually ready early. I pay my $ 17.05. I get home and wow. It looks like they didn’t bother to make my order but instead gave me a combined leftover from a patron who dined in. I kid you not. That’s what it looked like. I hope it wasn’t what I thought. I proceeded to eat some because I was hungry. By some, i mean 3 – 4 pieces of «orange chicken» it was about 60% batter 10% chicken and 30% grease sauce. That was a mistake. I am writing this review on the toilet right now. Lesson learned. I would rather drive to Moon Wok in Cedar Hill than come back to this sorry excuse for a restaurant. Everyone stay away.

I was excited to see that there were so many food items on their menu. I got fried rice, roasted pork and duck, and fish maw soup. We got the fried rice first and it was good. So, I can’t wait to get the other food. Shortly, I was very disappointed in the roasted pork and the soup. The pork was cold like it was refrigerated. The skin and meat were all over the place. We let the waitress know that it was cold and she explained that they made the roasted pig in the morning so the meat is cold. I just don’t understand how you can serve it cold when roasted pork are supposed to be hot. The soup has no flavor to it. Waitress never can to refill out drinks so we brought the drink to them and asked for refills. They don’t take credit card either.

Where should I start, My boyfriend started feeling sick in the middle of the meal. He almost had to run to the restroom because the food was not good nor seemed clean. When it came to Pay, the just said«cash only». We did not see any signs posted anywhere, so he had to go get some cash. Then when we got home I started feeling horrible. Stomach cramping, feeling indigestion. I’m just going to be brief, if you don’t want to get sick, just don’t go there.

Been a loyal customer for 30 years, something has changed. Food not as good, service just as bad. Sorry to say because it was a family favorite, no longer.

Get food from here but don’t eat here. Been coming to this restaurant for years, as it’s a family tradition. Now places like this aren’t really known for their service, but at least at the Richardson location always had their charm. Yet it’s a Sunday evening the place is empty and it appears the staff is unhappy to be there and we seem to have intruded on their lounge time. Overheard that it’s under new ownership too, so that might explain it. The food was on par especially the roasted duck which at times is tricky for some cooks to get right. Along with that ordered the cheese crusted prawns and 2 orders of the wonton soup. So I give thumbs up to the food and thumbs down to the service. It seems that the only passion and people who take pride in their work is in the kitchen.

If you want authentic Chinese food along with the«authentic» Asian service, this is the place! Come for the food, don’t expect much from the service and you’ll be just fine ;) I’m addicted to their wonton soup, have to get it every time, plus whatever else. It’s family style dining, so be ready and willing to share your food with your companion. It’s the only way to really enjoy Chinese food. Make sure you bring cash!

Succulent beyond your wildest dreams. Warm, attentive service and a vast array of Chinese BBQ classics. Not chain based American-Chinese dishes but real food from a particular reason. Even though we live a starred restaurant, humble eateries like this make food worth eating. No waiting despite a crowded house and completely attentive to our every need. Be ready, it’s in a strip mall that you wouldn’t give two glances to…, that’s why it’s one of our favorite«hidden gems».

This place was a total let down. The Austin location is great so I was super excited to take my parents for some great Cantonese food. Well that did not work out as planned… Service wise our waitress was great, friendly, and helpful but that’s pretty much where the good stuff ends. We ordered a fried whole flounder, stir fried vegetable, roast duck noodle soup, west lake beef soup, crispy pork rice and salt and pepper tofu. The stir fried vegetable and the west lake soup were the only decent dishes. Everything else was a pretty big fail. The salt and pepper tofu was like 2 face. Depending on the piece of tofu it was either tasteless or COVERED in salt. My mom’s roast duck was black. And if you know Chinese BBQ it should be a gorgeous red brown. We sent it back and got better pieces but seriously? Why even send the black ones out. My grandpa’s crispy pork was a mix of sad small pieces of fat. He never wastes food and there was a lot left on the plate. Fried flounder was meh. Overall this place is meh. Save yourself and just drive to Austin.

First Chinese BBQ is my go to for good Chinese food in Dallas. None of the locations have disappointed me thus far! This most recent visit, we ordered the wonton soup, fish + vegetables(not sure of the English name), BBQ duck, beef flat noodles, oysters, and more. Everything was good and we had no complaints. Food was also brought out pretty fast.

You know you’re in a good Chinese BBQ joint when there’s a duck hanging by its neck. Get past that as a vegetarian and you can’t find good eats. :) We’ve been coming here for years and the staff knows us and our quirky orders. Jenny is awesome! But, even when we get someone knew, they still put up with all my menu changes. Cash only, of course. If you want good, homey Chinese, come check it out.

I come here very often. Its one of the few Chinese restaraunts that is near. I order the Salty Fish Chicken Fried Rice 100% of the time. Another dish I’d recommend trying is the Spicy Pork Chops. These two entrees have to be my top picks. Other than that I’ll also recommend the Water Spinach and BBQ Pork dishes. They’re not that bad. The atmosphere is just like a typical Chinese restaurant and they can be quick with their to-go orders. Also a huge tip is this place takes CASHONLY.

Typical First Chinese BBQ franchise with Chinese and Cantonese food. CASHONLY! I have been going here because it is the closest locations. Their menu has a variety selection like other locations, and they are pretty known for their roasted duck, wonton soup, BBQ pork and roasted pork, and beef flat noodles. Service here was way much better than Plano location, though I never expect from them. Price and portion are reasonable. Keep it in mind, if you want 5 star dining, this place is not for you. It’s a little grungy and the service is blunt, but if you’re looking for an authentic and good Chinese restaurant, then this place is the right one.

I’ve been a loyal patron here for about 15 years and I’m sad to say this but they really let the place go. I heard from a friend who’s active in the Chinese community that the original owner(about 3 years ago) had to sell the place because they were in debt… I use to come here for the BBQ pork and duck, and still come occasionally, but the quality of the food is not what it use to be. The servers are still nice, but the duck is not as good and plump as they use to be. The BBQ pork sometimes doesn’t taste fresh. Regardless, this is the closet Chinese BBQ to me, they do hAve a killer lunch special though. For about $ 7 you get a choice of egg drop or sweet and sour soup, with your choice of 1 – 3 different kinds of meats(you get to choose from, BBQ pork, crispy pork, duck, and chicken) plus an egg roll. This has got to be my favorite lunch special because it’s authentic food and you can’t beat the price. I always ask for duck sauce even if they already add it cause I love me some duck sauce :) In the end, even though the service and quality has gone down, I’ll still come, nothing bad has happened that would make me stay away.

A Love song to First Chinese BBQ– by yours truly, They say there is a first time for everything, First time for lovers dreams… first time for tasty things. And when I came inside, and saw the ducks hanging you know that I cried just a little bit inside darling, It was just so beautiful, and thats what you are to me… Oh First Chinese! You got me on my knees for your crispy, sweet and tasty duck oh yes its whole, but I can eat it all. And when I think about the first time, Oh I hope its not the last time, I love your tasty duck anytime, baby. so serve it to me Chinese lady, your crispy ducky drives me so crazyyy! yeah yeah yea yeah. Eating duck first time in my life could not have been a more pleasant experience. The place, nor this side of Carrollton may be pretty, but that matters little to my tongue or tummy. I highly recommend the duck. *NOTETHE5STARRATINGISBASEDONDUCKONLY.

I’ve been coming here since I was just a young panda and I love how it’s authentic Chinese. I love coming here with my parents because they always order a ish load of food(family style) which is a way funner way to eat versus coming here with just one or two people. My only complaint is the service is just okay. They’re nice to us because they know my parents but if I just come with my husband it’s a bit different. Note: Cash only. BBQ roast pork is yum yum but I love the vegetable/tofu dishes the best!
