Zip Zap

I admit that I know nothing about women’s fashions, but my wife does, and for all her casual/​fun clothing needs, she prefers Zip Zap. She looks adorable in their stuff.
For that reason, Z-​Z has been my «rescue» gift-​resource for several years. My wife has said that she has all the jewelry she will ever need, and will no longer have to endure my questionable taste in tchotchkes, art, etc., etc.: when there’s a birthday, anniversary, Christmas-​class Major Occasion, I no longer have to worry about what to get. A gift card from Zip Zap keeps on giving, sometimes for months.
I personally find the offerings to be appealing, and the inventory is constantly changing. If you are ever similarly stuck for a gift for your favorite lady, cruise by Zip Zap with her.
The owner could not be more friendly and personable; ever since VDOT reconfigured the intersection of Gallows and Lee Highway, it can be a bit frustrating getting into the parking lot. Your perseverance will be rewarded.

I love the owner of this store. She is sincere and friendly. My aunt has been going for years to Zip Zap. If you want a special service to mix and match outfits, the owner is very helpful and friendly. Don’t judge a book by its cover. While the store is in a strip mall, the selection is handpicked.

This is definitely clothes you won’t find anywhere else… but for all the wrong reasons. If you like clothing that stands out and you won’t find anywhere else, this may be a good place for you, but everything was too outlandish for me.

I love this store. The owner is great! She is so much fun to talk to. She is very up to date on fashion. I still have the one of a kind dress I purchased from zip zap back in 2007. This time I purchased a light weight sweater for fall and love the colors. They have my size too! yay! anyway, I recommend highly if you like eclectic, different than the department store.

Initially, I was turned off by the endless flowered dresses but then I looked through everything and realized that there were some unusual items in this store. The assortment reminded me of a mix of «Things Remembered» and a personal shopper (which the owner seems to be for some — while I was there, she called a customer to tell her that she had some skirts that might be just up her alley).
The store looked a bit like an Oxfam store in England but the owner has had a shop for more than 30 years — so she must know what she’s doing!
The prices aren’t bargain but I bought a toe ring on sale for $ 4 (probably the cheapest thing in the store where most were in the $ 19-​$ 120 range).
If you like eclectic treasure hunting and you aren’t judgmental about ambiance, then you could find a little piece of Paris or Bali in here.

I bought my first pair of jeans here, and since then I’ve just kept going back. The small boutique has a plethora of stylish things to wear, capitalizing on the latest fashions. Her selection of jewelry is also outstanding. You’ll definitely find unique items here at an affordable price! The main reason I am a repeat-​customer is the owner of the store. She looks through catalogs and keeps up to date on the latest fashions, and won’t hesitate to tell you all about it while showing you around. You’ll probably be the only one in the store, so she will always be helpful in getting you the right size, or a different color. She loves to match up your clothes with other things in the store that work. I’m usually one who likes to be left alone while I do my shopping, but honestly, the main reason I keep visiting is because she is such a fun and quirky lady.
