I enjoyed the staff and there attention to my questions and requests, the prices are a bit higher than I would have liked but still enjoyed myself.

Apparently 1 in the afternoon is not a good time to come. Blaring loud music and the waitress/hostess/server just stood in the back of the restaurant staring at me like I had grown a second head. Finally able to communicate thru the noise to determine they were open. No one speaks English. Attempted to order the chicken tacos… she brought me 2 orders!!! 6 tacos? I’m NOT a big person. The tacos were truly authentic but that is about the only saving thing to this place. Won’t be back. And as another poster mentioned, yes the place is more of a bar than a restaurant.

Came here on a whim after deciding we wanted mexican food. The food is very authentic and was very delicious. There were a ton of young dressed up girls in the restaurant which was a little odd but probably nice for the men at the bar. Overall the food was great and will be coming back when the craving hits.

Came early for dinner and the place was pretty deserted but we stayed based on the reviews. They brought out fresh tortilla chips and salsa and the beer was cold. The shrimp fajitas were seasoned nicely and piping hot with lots of shrimp. My mom ordered the steak quesadilla and she loved it. Definitely helps if you speak Spanish. Thought I ordered a glass of water and they brought me another beer so I drank it. Good price for good food!

Best authentic Carne Asada I’ve had in VA so far. If anyone knows of any place thats better let me know. Don’t come here for anything fancy or 5 star service, come if you really like El Salvadorian/Mexican food. The ambiance is like clubby with disco lights and loud music, but I found it entertaining. Very polite waitress, although she didn’t speak much English. And to the girl who wrote a review saying«they should learn English, because this is America.» Maybe you should learn Spanish! Spanish speaking people are making up a large portion of our population. I’m not hispanic, but I can order in Spanish for sure.

No one spoke English and the music was so loud, like a club. It’s Monday at 1 pm. But the food was good. I had the tacos.

I think they might be running a prostitution ring out of this place but the food wasn’t bad!

After coming back from Vegas and eating at the legendary 4.5 star(with over 500+) reviews Tacos El Gordo, I was looking for an authentic taco spot like that place. Where they have fresh spicy sliced pork off of a spit roast, authentic sauces and diced veges in a lil tortilla. I had a mad craving for that, and my brother told me about this spot how it looked good. There was a limited amount of reviews here, so I thought I’d try it. Like others have said, they don’t speak great English but they seemed nice, and when I asked them whether their Tacos Al Pastor was pork or lamb, they let me know it was pork, and that was all I needed! Too bad you can’t mix and match the taco types, so I got 3 Tacos Al Pastor which is the pork type. Unfortunately, it’s not the same spit-roasted pork like Tacos El Gordo, it’s probably fried over in a skillet. That being said, the verde sauce and the avocado was pretty good, the pork did have a nice flavor, and the tortilla was good. It just wasn’t what I was expecting, which was Tacos El Gordo, that may be too tall of an order over here. If anyone can let me know if there’s a taco spot that has spit roasted pork, let me know! It’s so delicious and I’ll instantly send a compliment!

This place has really great food, but the workers don’t really speak English. I ended up leaving my credit card here one night and came in the next morning to get it. They couldn’t understand what I was saying. It took me a while to explain to them. Other than that, the food is great. Best tacos I’ve had in a while. Wish I could give them a 5, but learn how to speak a little English. We’re in America. =) I still would come back here, since the waitresses were awesome. Another thing is there’s a lot of guys here, since there’s a bar. One came up to us and asked if we wanted to dance. The place is also pretty sketchy, especially outside.

Yum! We stumbled upon this place while out doing errands and were craving tacos. We shared an ordered of the carbon tacos and WOW! Haven’t had tacos like this since we were in Texas. The meat was beautifully marinated and topped with pico, avocado and served with this spicy super fresh green sauce on the side. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Don’t be out off by the lack of ambiance, come here for the food! Our waitress was super nice and the food super fresh! Also, the salsa served prior to the meal was really good. And FYI, I am a super salsa snob.

My friend recommended this place for the Tacos Al Pastor. This is not a place you take your date to impress her. It’s one of those divey hole in the walls that you take your buddy from out of town to impress him with your local knowledge. Went here on a Friday at 11:45 and the place was empty(actually one person was at the bar). It took several minutes for anyone to realize that us patrons were there. No big deal as we were here for the Tacos Al Pastor. This place is so authentic that I was scared to drink the water: D. The three tacos have tomato, cilantro, a slice of avocado and have a green sauce on the side(got mine without onions/ceballos). I think the green sauce is avocado/cilantro based but is mild. The Al Pastor($ 8.95) was crispy and delicious like I’ve had in SoCal and Isla Mujeres. Free chips and salsa also. I’m really grading this place for the tacos in the dive/hole in the wall category and not the total dining experience because you want the authenticity in a place like this. There is another Viva Tequila, maybe«I» instead of «II», in Franconia VA and it might be related to this one… that will be next on my list as it would save me the trek to Seven Corners.
