Pleasantly surprised with the sushi(Salmon Lover). Not the best I’ve had but definitely a huge leap from grocery store sushi, like what I had anticipated. Made as you order. My fiancé got the chicken and steak bento and also liked it.

Went in today around 2pm… Service was fantastic… But the food… I ordered a quick combo with chicken & beef… I got turned of because I bit into my chicken and it was hard… Not sure if it was bones but it happened twice… I literally spit it out in my napkin… Now I’m wondering for the price… If it’s real chicken! I was starving so I just ate around the meat and only ate the rice and veggies! Will but be ordering from here ever again… Not worth it!

This place serves food court Japanese food but has its own storefront, so yeah, it’s basically glorified food court Japanese food. Not that it isn’t tasty(because who doesn’t love a sodium and calorie bomb?) but I can think of at least one fast-casual sushi place(Sushi 2 Go) and a couple sushi buffets(Todai and Matsutake) that I’d choose over Quickway.

Good food, even better prices! The amount of food is crazy! Definitely leftovers! It’s not the best hibachi, but for a quick fix it gets it done. The rolls are exceptional! Way cheaper than Harris teeter. I got the rock n roll, and the salmon was falling out the sides! That’s how much they put in it! Will be a frequent stop for some fast dinners when I don’t want to cook.

Rude and inefficient staff. This isn’t a case of not smiling wide enough, it’s servers who stand stunned and agog behind the register waiting for you to say something, forget to ask if you want a drink, ask the other person in your party instead, drop your trays in the food prep bin and then re-use the same tray. They’re trying so hard to be Chipotle without having any of the style(if you want to call whatever Chipotle has«style») or teamwork that Chipotle has. No, having exposed ductwork on the ceiling doesn’t make your food any better. That it wasn’t packed around lunch time should have been all the warning we needed, but we suffer at the whims of our stomachs. Look, I KNOW that fast-food hibachi stuff is B-grade ingredients drowned in high fructose corn syrup and MSG, but Quickway fails to even reach that dizzying height of adequacy. And for 16 bucks you COULD go a mile down the road and get a lot more food that’s better quality and has flavor AND have money left over for guacamole. In fact, why aren’t you doing that now? Stop! Turn back! There’s still time! Tofu hibachi– Tofu rubbery and with a strange, difficult to place yeast-like taste. Like very mild yogurt or something that had begun to ferment. Think natto, but not good. In any case, tofu should not taste like that. Vegetables steamed into lifeless, papery oblivion. Why on earth any«Japanese» restaurant would add in thousand island dressing– or even have it on the premises– is beyond me. Salmon bento box– Sushi rolls are on par with Safeway’s «sushi» selections. Probably the same mock crab in them. Spring rolls are the same type you can buy by the caseload at Costco. Dumplings have been boiled and then fried, it seems– similar Costco-level stock. Salmon was actually salmon and not cod, but despite having been drenched in teriyaki sauce, green onions and sesame seeds, had no taste other than that imparted to it by the typical little flecks of blackened grill waste. It didn’t taste off, which I suppose I should take as some consolation as this lunch at least will not see me hunched over a toilet in a few hours. The steamed rice on the other hand, had a pronounced alkaline taste that almost suggested to me like someone didn’t fully rinse out the pot after washing it. Two bites and NOPE– box sealed back up and right into the trash it went. Just think, for 16 bucks you too can treat your worst enemy to whatever the hell this is, just make sure they’re paying.

I had the tofu hibachi with noodles and it was flavorless. Ample amounts of tofu and noodles(!), but veggies were skimpy and I had to take it home and spice it up. Worth trying again, tho, because my wife was happy with her salmon and rice hibachi. Perhaps I need to ask them for more veggies and spicing. Or maybe I should nyet the tofu and go dead animal flesh.

Very disappointed with the restaurant. I’m used to order shrimp over noodles with a side order of chicken. Today, they refused to do that. They said I had to buy the chicken & shrimp combo and add a side order of shrimp… That’s a price gouging of $ 3.50 more. Besides that the cooks/cashiers always seem to hate the job, never smiling, with the exception of the one Hispanic cook which is always attentive.

If you want mall Japanese food, this is your place. We all know what mall Japanese food is — basically teriyaki meat, crappily steamed vegetables, and fried or white rice. It’s a sodium and calorie bomb usually served with some sort of orange sauce to make it even worse. Thing is, it’s damn tasty — the kinda thing you don’t admit to liking but kinda like. This joint does mall Japanese well. The meat is reasonably plentiful and cooked on demand and the rice is good, which is basically all you can ask for. The vegetables are depressingly gross, but that’s kinda to be expected. The price is a hair higher than most places, but not offensively so, especially given the amount of food. All in all, this isn’t a bad place, just maybe not the healthiest choice.

Quickway is essentially fast-food hibachi. It’s your standard fast-food Asian fare… Tasty enough store-bought teriyaki sauce over mediocre rice/noodles with some cheap veggies like cabbage and some white meat chicken. What’s great about Quickway though, is that the portions are huge and the prices are low. If you’re really hungry you can get a bento box for under $ 10, which includes egg rolls and sushi roll(though I can’t speak to the taste or freshness of the sushi rolls, my guess would be that they are equivalent to grocery store sushi rolls). The interior of this location is actually fairly large and stark, but clean. This is a quick fix if you’re craving hibachi or teriyaki and don’t want to go to a sit-down restaurant or pay restaurant prices.

Looks like a chipotle when you walk in and it fills you up like one too! Pretty decent for the price and a quick fix for a simple Japanese craving.

Okay food for a good price. The boyfriend and I wanted some quick hibachi without having to go into the mall which lead us to quick way. This place is fairly new to the area. Reminds me of chipotle with the way it was set up, stainless steel with a brown-red order board. They have a card where you buy 5, you get a 6th one free. The food was fast, hot and good. I was not a big fan on their veggies. I’ve had better. The chicken and rice were yummy. They have many options/combos that are affordable. Worth giving them a try if you want a quick hibachi dinner/lunch.

Good food, GREAT value. We decided to grab a big To go order for our office. I personally got the salmon, it’s grilled over a light teriyaki glaze, with side of veggies and fried rice. They have a buy 5 get 1 free deal so it’s great with a large order like ours. 6 meals for $ 34? Sounds good to me!

It’s very similar to any mall food court hibachi place, slightly more pricy but in a nice, clean environment with what I thought to be better quality beef. I had the beef and shrimp combo hibachi on noodle(note they will ask if you want fried rice or white rice, just know noodle is an option too and doesn’t cost extra). The portion is big enough to split into two small meals for me. Everything tasted as they should, good and fresh. Cost $ 7.95 plus tax, really not bad at all. Again, this is a chain fast food joint, so don’t expect gourmet, manage your expectations and you’ll be satisfied. However, I did not try sushi as I’m not a believer in these kind of places to eat raw fish. Maybe I’ll try their California roll one day but I would mainly go there for hibachi, not sushi. Place is new, clean, efficient service, good to take kids too.

For the price and amount of food, this place is a great fast food hibachi! I got the chicken and beef bento box with noodles. The chicken was cooked well and filled with flavor. The noodles lacked a little flavor, but with some extra sauce they are great! The beef was not my favorite, calling it beef was correct, by no means is it steak. The chicken wonton and spring roll were a bit cold, clearly pre-cooked, but with the delicious yum yum sauce everything was great!

Very good VALUE! Surprisingly large portions of fresh, yummy hibachi at a low price. No brainer. All the hibachi options come with grilled/stiry fried mixed veggies(broccoli, onions, carrots and cabbage) and your choice of white or fried rice(and LOTS of it). The«Yummy Sauce» that comes along with it all, is SO good. They also have a Bento Box option, which is also a fantastic deal-choose your protein(either chicken, beef, tofu, salmon, shrimp, or a combination of any 2 or 3 of those) and it comes with 2 spring rolls, 2 dumplings, 4 pieces of california roll sushi, mixed veggies, and white or brown rice for around $ 8 bucks. Amazing. The restaurant itself is fast casual, very clean and modern inside, and the staff was friendly and quick. Definitely recommend!

After one meal during their opening weekend, I have no real complaints. It doesn’t get five stars because it wasn’t a life changing experience – not that it claims to be. It’s a nice meal for a good price; quick, clean, and accessible culinarily to a non-foodie. My wife and I visited this spot on a Friday night. I had some hibachi combo of chicken and shrimp with veggie and noodles. The chicken was sliced into bite-sized pieces and charred lightly, but, somehow, still tender and juicy. The shrimp, no joke, were near perfect. They popped in my mouth when I bit into them – nearly every shrimp I eat outside my home is overcooked, but not this time. The noodles were… whatever the Japanese word is for al dente; again, perfect. The veggies consisted of cabbage, carrot, broccoli, and onion. They were cooked, but still crisp. While the meal didn’t knock me over with flavor, it was by no means bland. It’s a nice meal for a good price; maybe something more for some, but certainly nothing less.

Brand spanking new! Everything here is exceptionally clean. Steamlined designs all the way from the interior decorations to the large, easy to read simple menu. Staff are still getting the hang of everything but they have been nothing but friendly. So excited to have a good hibachi & sushi place in seven corners!
