You go to this place only if there are zombies in town and the country is collapsed, so you only have this place to eat to survive then you go. Waiters are very nice but the food omg is disgusting, cheap is not good for your health.

Everytime I walk into a buffet place, I tell myself, «this place will be good, it won’t be like all the other buffet places. This place will change your mind.» I was wrong, another mark for horrible buffet places to eat at. There’s no helping it when you’re dragged there by others. Ambience is buffet like. Big banners displaying deals on food, poor lighting, and adequate sitting for very large groups. The server was great which is about all that this place has got going so half a star for him. The food. How best to describe it, salted. Everything is overly salted. I think i left with a significantly higher blood pressure. The fries, the meat and potatoes, breaded shrimp, fries, onion rings, chicken, all of it. I imagine in the back someone takes all these items and tosses them in one of those large cooling bins for fries like in fast food joints then salts everything in there. Either they have poor salting technique or just hiding the real taste of the food. Saving grace, the dinner rolls. Fluffy, soft, and delicious. Enough for a half star. Anyway, if you think paying less than 2 digits is worth trying this place, go ahead. Make sure you bring your blood pressure medicine though.

This place is filthy. The food is very bland. And the waitstaff seemed to all huddle at the front so you had to flag them down if you needed them. Not worth the time.

We ended up here, from the suggestion of my husband. He had visited here with a group of his male friends. I say his male friends because most men will eat anywhere. First it is tucked in the back corner of a strip mall. As I am walking up to the front door, I am immediately regretting that I agreed to eat here. The doors were disgusting, like that had been touch by every grimy little kid, and not clean in ages. You walk into an entry way that had no working AC, and the unit they had in there looked like it was going to fall from the ceiling at any moment. Finally in the restaurant, and we are greeted by a mob of wait staff. They wait right at the entrance to take you to your table, but while they are waiting for customers to enter, it looks like teenagers hanging out in the quad in high school. I feel like they could hangout some where else, while waiting for customers. We were taken to a table for my family of 6. Once again I am disgusted. The tables felt as if the layer of dirt and grime had been collecting for years. The overall feel of the restaurant felt dirty. Being named great American steak & buffet, they offer southern cooking, and some steak options, that I did not dare to try. So we all go to the buffet to get food, and I honestly could not find anything that look appealing, but I grabbed a piece of fried chicken, and some batter fried shrimp. The chicken was dry, and shrimp tasted ok. My children had picked up some collard greens, Mac and cheese, and some yams w/marshmallow. My daughter didn’t like the Mac and cheese, so I tried it and it lacked flavor. The yams were cakey. My other daughter loved the collard greens. My husband insisted that I try some dessert, so I grabbed a slice of pecan pie, and lemon meringue. The lemon meringue was 90% meringue, and very little lemon pie. The pecan pie was disgusting, I took a bite and immediately spit it out. It tasted like it from a box. Bottom line not impressed with this buffet, and I will not ever go back there.

Great American Buffet was probably one of the single worst buffets I’ve ever had the displeasure of eating at. I was greeted promptly by a set of dirty windows and a front door covered with fingerprints and smudges, which I should’ve taken as a fair warning of what to expect on the inside. It was pretty empty for dinner time, save a few tables reminiscent of the Nutty Professor dinner scene. I felt like I may have been being too uppity and that I should judge the buffet the most by its food and not as much what it looks like or its customers. «Hey, some of the worst looking places sometimes have the best food!» I thought. I took a deep breath, dug my fork in, lifted the morsel to my mouth and… Yeah, this place sucks. The pizza sucks, the meatballs suck, the fish sucks, the shrimp sucks, the rolls suck, the rice sucks, the dessert suck, the fried chicken… Well, that one was okay. I felt it wasn’t fully cooked however, so I quit eating it. Besides, they only have two pieces to choose from: the dreaded leg and the even more dreaded thigh. Plus I stepped in a small pile of random gunk on my way out and haven’t been able to get it off my shoe. Well, that wasn’t worth the $ 15. Cinnamon toaster strudel would’ve been a more appetizing dinner.

Expensive for what was available… so many people were so rude and just pigs… I waited forever to have a piece of steak and when it was put out, a couple of men just grabbed all that was put out — heaped their plates and none for others who had been waiting… only had one lady cooking the meats, prepping them and serving. Didn’t speak English and the steaks were all well done, tough, and no hope for a piece that was even medium… steak sauce? where? buffet tables were dirty, food was awful, variety was poor, small selection for the price of this buffet. No drink station so you had to wait for a server to come — if they ever did — chicken tough, beef was tough… salads were ok but cream salads were disgusting… atmosphere was dark, dirty, looked dirty in the back areas, crowded, old, the bathrooms were horrible — the handicapped stall was filthy — a turd was floating in the bowl as the toilet would not flush… then, the clientele was mostly foreign, non English speakers, dressed for failure, loud, not my kind of people. Would I go back? No way and would run the other way. This place is tucked in a corner of the shopping center and needs to stay hidden. What a waste of $ 35 for lunch for 3 adults. Sure, I did not think this was going to be gourmet, but I had reasonable expectations for cleanliness, variety, and quality.

Incredible Buffet! The Fried Chicken is second to none. We dine here whenever we are in town and are never disappointed. The friendly staff and quality of the food make this one of our favorite buffets anywhere. It’s in a funky spot, but its worth seeking it out. There are plenty of meat and protein choices plus tons of healthy salad and vegetables so everyone can find something that they like. The bakery and dessert bar tops it all off. Go Hungry!

Worst buffet I’ve ever been to. Small buffet setup. None of the food was really delicious. Hot wings and salad bar were the only decent things I had. Dessert bar was weak. I realized why it was so basic and bad when I saw the price. It was only $ 10.99 for a dinner buffet. I would’ve come here back when I was a broke college student, but that’s it. Never going back.

I came here on a school trip. As I observed the ‘meals’ at the bars, I saw that nothing looked to be my liking. I told my friends nothing here looks better than sh*t. I was right. I was so disgusted with my food, I had to go back and make their fruit supply my dinner. Never, under and circumstance, will I return.

3.5 stars. Decent food, decent service, decent prices. No alcohol. Seating is not comfortable, probably to allow for a higher turnover in a restaurant. Similar to a church pew. Hard wooden seats. No splinters, though. Made to order omelettes are great if you can get past the language barrier to order what you actually want. I asked for ham, peppers and onions. I got every ingredient they offer.

Went here today for lunch with my co-workers today… Never been real crazy about the place and we hadn’t been in a while… when my co-worker went to reach for a plate, a baby roach was crawling on it… that’s was it for me!!!

Believe it or not, this place is a godsend. Basic buffet, standard foods like most golden coral or country home buffets. However, I have a teenager and 5 yr old twin boys who are in the picky eating stage… And when I don’t feel like cooking and the kids cant agree what they want — we head there where its cheap, bland, and mom doesn’t have to do anything. Lol

On Monday June 3rd me and my mom were disappointed to fer from another guest that was a table across from us had gone to the bathroom and got sick as a result. The other part guest whom visited the restroom their saw a bloody and dirty women’s restroom and she has a sensitive stomach. You know what that means right. She got sick to her stomach. She complained but the staff and management did not comfort her in any way. All the staff did was apologize. Me, I would have apologized and said that the meal is on us. They should have kept the restrooms cleaned. I went in the men’s restroom and it was dirty and disgusting too. They had tour bus after tour bus multiple times show up and most of which had the«E-T» logo on their shirts and they just ransacked the restrooms. I’ve never been so embarrassed myself for this place. The E-T logo stands for Education(al) Tour. I don’t know where they came from but they should never come back if they don’t take care of there actions when using the facilities in a public restroom. I’ve been a guest for years and this is the first I’ve ever seen the restrooms look like a massacre. The staff should have checked the restrooms every hour. I saw a worker come out of the restroom but never saw her with anything to clean it in her hands. So I don’t know if the restroom was cleaned or not. I would never leave any cleaning stuff in a public restroom. I’m hoping that they fix this because it will make for a better eating environment. Enclosing: be careful when you go to the restrooms here. If they are dirty report them and then go somewhere else if necessary.

Decided to eat here instead of driving to Richmond Hwy… Lets just say I will drive the extra 7 miles next time. I could not find anything impressive on the bar.

So I’ve been coming here for plenty of years. They are pretty good for an American buffet. Not necessarily the best one I’ve ever been too, but pretty decent. Now they have a fair amount of selections to choose from. I prefer the lunch & dinner over breakfast; but that’s just because I don’t really like to eat breakfast. The buffet is pretty open and mainly composed of fried foods. The steak & meat section are alright I usually go for the BBQ ribs & the chicken wings they have although sometimes their wings aren’t as good as other days. The salad bar is pretty basic. Nothing complex on the vegetables. However I wish the salad dressings were marked. I don’t know what each salad dressing is just by looking at them. Unfortunately they took out the piqué de gallo, something I always loved. Now the sald bar and the fruit bar is shared together, so not much choices as desired are here, but you can make it work. Now for my favorite part; the dessert section. They have a fair amount of dessert selections from pies, cookies, and muffins. They do carry the typical, standard, bland ice cream every place carries. However what stands out are the pies which I love. You can pick from various pie types. The atmosphere is simple nothing fancy, and their waiters are pretty good usually. So if your looking for nothing that fancy and just a place to mingle and eat with friends and stuff than this is one may work.

I don’t know about great, but it’s definitely American. Mountains of food for the cost of less than 8 dollars — and you get what you pay for. Yes, it is definitely comfort food. And of course, unless you are running weekly marathons, you aren’t likely to maintain a svelte figure chowing down here. But, you know what? The food isn’t the worst on Earth. Now, it’s not very clean — at all. Some of the food stations aren’t super clean, and definitely don’t look appetizing sitting in their steam trays. The service is pretty much awful — they slap you down at a table, give you one drink, and hope that you don’t ask for anything else. Even if you do, they won’t notice you. All I can really say about this place is that«it is what it is.» You already know what you are getting when you walk in here, so sit down, stuff your face, and start hating yourself, already.

So this place is where me and my friends go to sightseeing. You will see all types of people(from looking good to looking straight up crazy) at this place. We have ran across literally clowns to celebrity look alikes(Esther Rhole). The food is so-so. It is pretty much like vanilla. you know nothing special. If you are a OCD Clean freak then I would recommend that you steer clear of this location. I have come across counters in the eating areas that have layers of dust. The restrooms are just as worse. The service is very poor. I have come across some attentive servers, however, the majority just stand around and just discuss something not important, while I am dying of thirst. Overall, this place is ok if you are not feeling like cooking or just being a lazy couch potato for the day. I have experience better buffets in travels across the US(Williamsburg, Hampton, Fairbanks Alaska, however this location would sit at the bottom of it all. The sights are really what keeps me coming back . Until next time!

You get what you paid for and for $ 7.59(plus a complimentary water with lemon) for lunch, you can’t expect Zagats best alright! After 3 plates of good old american fried chicken, fried livers, fried shrimp, and a heaping plate of sweets: fudge pie, chocolate cake, chocolate and vanilla pudding; it will take a fork lift to carry my lard laden caucus out of there! Recommendations: Anything fried! Avoid: Anything roasted because it sits on the warming plate until its crisp like a booger on a cold winter day! Favorites: The moist chocolate cake!

Came here on a few occasions because its right across the street from the house. The first two visits weren’t too bad, just your average brunch for a pretty reasonable price(8 bucks?), you could get an omelette freshly made to order, waffles, pancakes, bacon and even fried chicken! :D Its just comfort food, nothing fancy. But this is where the two stars kicks in: Now, I know servers could have bad work days… or it just isn’t their day… and they don’t give excellent service, that’s all fine and dandy… But the most recent visit, we asked if could get refills with orange juice and our server said«yes». So we order OJ and the server brings us diet coke. We correct his mistake and he finally brings us OJ. After we finish our first glass of OJ, we asked for a refill and our SAME server says, «The refill will be an extra charge» and we’re flabbergasted. Actually, my bf got really ticked off and told him«I specifically asked you if OJ gets free refills. The server replies, «No, there is only free refills on fountain drinks». After telling the server HIS mistake MULTIPLE times, we decided to drop it because the argument was getting ridiculous over OJ. But he could’ve at least apologized for his mistake, he kept insisting like he didn’t do anything wrong. At least apologize, no? First time eating at a buffet and not tipping but he earned it.
