I wish I didn’t have to give a star, I try to call the store once everyday during different hours, and seems like no one answers the phone. I was on hold once, but hung up after 15 minutes. It seems like only 2 people are working at a time. 1 person on the floor, barely helping anyone and 1 person on the register.

I have gone here a few times and found it pretty good until tonight. There was a super long line and the cashier was dealing with a difficult customer. I waited about ten minutes in line and watched the other worker walk around doing nothing that seemed to be helping anyone out at all. I called out to him asking if he could hop on a register to help us out and there were about 6 people in line by then and he didn’t even acknowledge me and went to the register like I asked the world from him. When I finally made it to the register I was helped by the cashier that was helping the difficult customer and I said to him that I usually get good service here but why was the other cashier not helping with the long line? He said because I need him out on the floor, we have been really busy and I need him on the floor. I will not go here again. I do not think customers should be treated like inconveniences and whoever was managing tonight just lost a customer that lives right around the corner. They were both very rude and did not seem like they even wanted to be at work.

This place is no less than 3 minutes from my house, so when I feeling like forgetting the fact that I’m a grown-ass man and decide to buy some video games, this is always where I head to. What can I say? Selection-wise, a GameStop is a GameStop is a GameStop. So why two stars? First of — there always seems to be a line. Even if there are only two other people in the store, you better believe they will be standing and waiting in front of you. Then, the staff. Some are great — you’ll get all the help you need. Others — meh. They tend to be over-pushy on whatever deals, cards, rewards, pre-orders, etc etc ad nauseum. At this point, when I get to the counter I make sure to enunciate exactly what I will be doing. «I already have a card, I am turning this game in and buying another one. That’s all.» Saves me some unneeded conversation. I would imagine that yes — all this chatter is probably correlated to the long lines — but correlation does not necessarily equal causation. But sometimes it does.

I came here to buy a game. When I went to the register to buy my game, the guy working there asked me if I wanted a Power Rewards card. I told him no. He then asked me again, making sure if I didn’t want one. I told him no again. Then he began to explain what it was, that it was completely free, and that I wouldn’t be losing anything if I got it. I told him no again and for some reason, he started asking me for my information. And then he signed me up the card and said that I could activate it in an email. I left the store thinking«I told him no three times and he still signed me up for one.» Also, my game disc couldn’t be read, so I returned it and bought the game on Amazon for half the price.

Don’t like this gamestop at all. Go here on occasion only because they do have more of a selection at this location. There is one extremely rude employee(maybe even a manager?) whom I have dealt with the past few times I’ve been there. He is not nearly the comical genious he thinks he is. The kids that crowd this place may find him amusing but I do not. During my visit about a week & a half ago, I listened to this employee very loudly talk negatively about an employee that was standing right next to him. Just to get a laugh outta some 12 year old. This is actually the 2nd time I have seen this same behavior from him. What a super cool dude… NOT. He is loud and extremely rude to customers and employees. I would probably have a very different opinion of this store if this dude didn’t work there. But seeing him act this way, yet again, really sealed the deal for me and I wont be returning. Anything they have there is easily available online.
