This is my second time here. We had a full group of 5 and had a wonderful dinner and great service as well. I was surprised it was not busier since all the food was so good.

Dinner on a Friday night in early summer. We planned on a beach restaurant in Westport but the 45 minutes to an hour wait had us heading to Fall River. Always wanted to try Cinderella restaurant and finally did! The place is small, and immaculate. Pretty and a nice atmosphere. There were just two other tables occupied when we came in. We were promptly seated and asked if we would like a drink. Delicious sangria was promptly delivered. Also, delicious Portuguese bread, olives, and olive oil with onion for dipping. Our waiter was prompt, courteous an helpful. We asked if one order of shrimp Mozambique could be made sans garlic and it was no problem. Both orders were promptly delivered; piping hot and delicious shrimp Mozambique with rice and round Portuguese fries.(A little skimpy on the rice). Water glasses were refilled promptly. We ordered passion fruit pudding and it was the best I have ever had. No seeds and like a light custard. The prices are a bit higher then average but the food was excellent, the drinks too and dessert heavenly. The atmosphere is great.

Cinderella, although a little pricey for Fall River, is definitely a top Portuguese restaurant in the area. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago for the first time in YEARS and it was just as good as I remember. Being Portuguese and from Fall River, naturally I love Portuguese food. With that said, not every Portuguese restaurant in Fall River is worth your time. First of all, this restaurant couldn’t have a better location– you really feel like you’re in Europe when you’re on Comlumbia Street. Cinderella also has a really great atmosphere compared to a lot of thr others around. Nothing at all against hole-in-the-wall places, though. Most importantly I’ve never been disappointed by the food here. Most recently I ordered a roasted octopus special, which was awesome. My friend ordered the Portuguese steak with whiskey and coffee which was also delicious. Our waiter was great too– good personslity and helpful with food and wine selection. I think the only thing I’d change about Cinderella is the size of the menu. It’s limited compared to other Portuguese restaurants. Still overall a great place for dinner.

The restaurant we went to on Saturday night was quite crowded we did make a reservation as it is small, food offering choices were delicious I had the T-bone steak with Portuguese french fries and of course rice! The wine that the owner suggested was wonderful my only complaint Is the three hour plus wait so if you’re in a hurry do not go there but if you have the time to spare well worth the trip.

Oh, and this restaurant was awfull when we visited in march. Ordered chicken fingers got dino nuggets made with processed chicken for the kids. The fries were cold, the shrimp frozen not fresh, pitcher of sangria was 25 dollars, and no dessert menu available for some reason. Save your money and time eat elsewhere. Oh the bill was hefty and no way a good value.

We got carne alentejana was very good. Decent price. My husband got Portuguese steak. Was just ok. Steak was overcooked. Each meal was at 17 $ a piece. Prices are average. Coffee is delicious. Atmosphere is nice. Service… SUCKED… Probably worst service I have ever had. No personality. Did not refill drinks or clear plates. Didn’t smile or act like he cared. Sorry but you cannot just do below minimum and get a good tip

We enjoyed a quiet lunch here on the way to Woods Hole. This is a lovely restaurant… clean and nicely appointed. We tried the chicken and the steak and were very pleased. Friendly atmosphere. Recommended!

This was our first visit. The food was very good. My wife had the polvo(octopus). I am not usually a fan of octopus but this was very tasty and tender. I had the shrimp mozambique. It could have been spicier, but it was good. We will be back.

I was honestly disappointed in this place. I ordered the Shrimp Mozimbique and it was tasteless and didn’t have any spice to it either. The fries were over cooked, but the rice was good. Very nice place, but I don’t think I will be going back. You can find a few other Portuguese restaurants that have at least 4 stars within a 2 mile radius.

If you want to dine in a beautifully decorated dinning room, with over the top«home like» atmosphere and home cooking to its best, this is your place. Have been there at least 6 times and it has never let me down. Husband and wife do an outstanding job

Cinderella is the very best of portuguese food that I have ever ate. The ambiance, food and service is out of this world. Milton, the waiter caters to all your needs. Louie, greets you as if you belonged to his family. His wife, the chef is incredibly talented in her portuguese cooking. In my family, the minute milton puts down the basket of bread, it is devoured in 30 seconds. We must go through 3 or 4 baskets of bread in one night. Everything is delicious on the menu, pork and little necks, Portuguese steak with whiskey and coffee, Mozambique chicken and more. Rice, salad and Portuguese round fries come with every oder and they too are delicious. Now, the wait is long but you have to remember that everything is made to order and is 100% fresh. Trust me, the wait is worth it. Cinderella is a delicious contemporary Portuguese food restaurant. If you want fresh and authentic food, this is the place to go.

Went here during the annual feast at Kennedy park. I figured it would be packed but nope it was completely empty. Thankfully everyone was getting their fill of malasadas at the park so we could enjoy some quiet time a Cinderella’s. For an appetizer we ordered the little necks which were freaking awesome! For our meals I ordered the Portuguese steak and my husband ordered the pork and little necks, our two usual meals when it comes to Portuguese food. We both enjoyed our meals a lot and the service was really excellent. Will definitely be going back again.

It kills me to write this review. However, it must be done. I usually love their food. But the last time Boyfriend and I went there for lunch, it was off… very off. I know that lunch menu’s usually are pretty limited but this was insane. Pork and little necks, Portuguese steak, Chicken and Shrimp Mozambique. I wasn’t really feeling any of it but I got the Shrimp Mozambique and boyfriend got the Cinderella Clam App. When I got my plate I acutally scoffed. 6 little shrimp in a pool of thick orange sauce. Yikes. Portion wise for $ 14 that was insane. The«French Fries» were soaked and soggy with oil and I wasn’t interested in the rice at all. Boyfriend noted that the clam sauce was different than the last time but still good. So good that he ordered 2 more servings of the clams. It is such a weird review to write for a Portuguese restaurant because usually the portions are out of control! Boyfriend had an apple martini that he said was great and I had a cappuccino that was equally as good. I don’t think I will go back for lunch any time soon.

This place has tons of great qualities. The food is beautifully plated, location is right off the highway, décor is mildly upscale and the waitstaff is pleasant. For the quality of food i think its a great value and the portions are bountiful as well. I was crazy shocked to see at 9pm on a thursday night that we were the only couple in the whole restaurant. That was bizarre. I only give this place 4 stars because parking is brutal.

I followed up the great Touriga Nacional seminar at the Boston Wine Expo by taking my brother to my favorite Portuguese restaurant in Fall River, Cinderella. I make it a point to stop in whenever I am in the area and am overtaken by a craving for Carne de Porco à Alentejana. However, Luis Bettencourt, Cinderella’s proprietor, treated us to a special dish not yet on the menu. I can’t recommend Cinderella enough for all those craving good Portuguese food and wine. I wrote more about it here )

The food is exceptional without question. I’d classify this as higher-end Portuguese dining in Fall River. My true rating would have been 3.5 stars if possible I rounded up since the house steak and the pork chops were very good. I’d also recommend the cod fish cakes and the shrimp app. Overall they’ve done a great job with the décor and have put a great deal of effort into the wine list. The host was extremely gracious and helped us cap off our meal. I’d say the biggest negatives were it took about 15 minutes for the server to come over to ask if wanted to order drinks/food and the restaurant wasn’t that busy and(2) A more accurate price rating given the comparable restaurants in the area would be $$$. I’d consider this pricey Portuguese food. Overall — really glad I tried it and recommend others to, but am not in a hurry to return.

The food was excellent and the prices were good. Nice ambience as well. However, the service left a lot to be desired. The restaurant has about 12 tables. We waited almost 45 minutes after our order before our meals arrived. The waiter said nothing until he brought out the meals, at which point he said«sorry, we’re running behind tonight.» Up until our food came out he never came by the table once either, not even to refill our water glasses. I’d be willing to give Cinderella another try based on the other reviews, but maybe not on a Saturday night.
