Denny’s… or as I like to think of it, somewhere in between Waffle House and IHOP. Wife and I stopped by this little number today while heading back home from Arkansas. This one is joined at the hip with a Flying J truck stop, so the whole time we were eating we were serenaded by the sounds of «Customer 67, shower 1 is now ready.» Apparently some poor sweaty trucker with ADD wandered off and never heard the countless pages beckoning him to his shower. Service-wise, we had no complaints here. Everyone was friendly and attentive. As for the food, well… it was pretty much what I expected. It was later on in the day and I wasn’t in the mood for breakfast, so I decided to go with something that should be in their wheel house — country fried steak. I ordered it with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It came with garlic bread as well. In some weird twist of fate, the broccoli and bread were pretty good, but the steak was just strange. Potatoes — meh. Instant potatoes. They even gave off the instant potato smell, yeah, you know what I’m talking about. About this steak, though… Do you remember those soy hamburgers you used to endure in high school? Recall that weird sensation when you bit into them. They smoosh down until you finally cut through with your teeth and the pieces literally spring back like you bit into a sponge. That is how this country fried steak was. It tasted like one should taste(lots of breading and gravy), but it had an odd shape like it came off of a chicken nugget production line and that abomination of a texture. In my mind I have this image of Denny’s growing steaks in a lab on the backs of rats.

First and foremost it is a Denny’s in a truck stop. The menu is fairly consistent across the US. So for this review its mainly about service and cleanliness. We stopped for breakfast and had no issues with either. In fact we drive to Nashville several times a year and we have decided this is our breakfast stop on the way home. If you are looking for a quick lunch, breakfast or dinner as you travel on the 40. There is nothing wrong with stopping at Denny’s

This is the worst Denny’s meal I’ve ever had. Greasy under grilled Super Bird Sandwich. Greasy limp under cooked hash browns. Nice waitress but the cook doesn’t care.

This Dennys I have stopped in once before and had a great lunch here, so I figured I would stop in for breakfast. Great food and amazing service!!! This place has a three star rating on Unilocal at this time, but it should be 4 or 5 stars! Extremely clean and the food was out fast. It was cooked just as I asked, and the lady who served me this morning had a wonderful attitude and was friendly. She was always on top of my needs. For me this is a rarity at most Denny’s but this particular one was fantabulous! I hope more people Unilocal about their visit here. I am definitely coming back to this one for breakfast again!

Not much to say except that it is a Denny’s and it is what it is. Consistent quality across the nation and in this one as well. Courteous and friendly service. Wide variety of choices. Good portion sizes. Bottomless cup of coffee. I love getting breakfast anytime — day or night. I’ll be back(on the road or close to home at Denny’s.)

This Denny’s is really hit and miss. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it isn’t. We were just there for breakfast this past Sunday and the food was fine except it was just barely warm which is irritating. Aerobics is usually great though I will give them that.

Im giving 4 stars for being good at what it is, a restaurant at a truck stop. Had a bad experience a year or so back but was out this way and hungry. Coincidentally, just this week they did a total makeover with a new counter and TVs everywhere. Impeccably clean. Service was excellent. Usual Denny’s menu which worked for me. Seems they have righted the ship and off to a good start. Food was delicious. No complaints. Ill add as a stopover. When traveling, Nice to take a break from Cracker Barrel for variety sake.

We saw the Denny’s sign on the road to Memphis. Since we hadn’t eaten at a Denny’s since leaving California, we stopped in for breakfast. But since we hadn’t eaten at a Denny’s since leaving California, we had forgotten how bad the service can be there. The service was incredibly slow. It took them practically forever to take our drink order and then another forever to actually get our coffee. The Bacon avocado omelets were good, but the hash browns were were cold and undercooked. The waitresses were all very friendly, thus bumping this review from a one star up to a two star.

It is what it is. Pretty good food, service usually leaves something to be desired. I like that you can get breakfast here any time, so that’s a plus. However, there are much better places to spend $ 30 bucks on a meal for two. If you’re expecting anything spectacular, go elsewhere. If you are looking for a decent meal or maybe some midnight breakfast, sure give it a shot.

How hard is it to mess up a pancake? Apparently easy at this Denny’s location. I was excited when they first came to Fairview. I was very disappointed in the food quality and service when we went there. Then my husband reminded me it was a Denny’s at a truck stop what did I expect?

When Matt L. reviewed Denny’s, I knew I had to go there. The Better Half of the Unilocal couple is a huge fan of Denny’s. I grew up in Michigan, and we had plenty of them as well, but you never notice it until its gone. On our visit though, the place was hoppin’ When we go there, a line had already formed to get a table. Our wait was fortunately brief, but waitress experiences seemed to mirror that of Matt L. Mary seemed somewhat disgruntled at our very existence. It was as though she struggled to fight through a reserve of hatred bared inside her each time she stopped by our table. In the end, if you’ve been to Denny’s and hold a fondness for it, you’ll want to come back. If you’ve never been to one, it might be a bit harder of a sell. None of its offerings are all that different from what you might get somewhere else. I don’t think its worth driving an hour just to order a «Moons Over My Hammy» and despite my repeated mistake about it, the«Rooty Tooty Fresh N’ Frooty» is at IHOP. At the time of my visit, the location was incorrect in Unilocal so I was unable to «Check-In». Its located just off the exit of I-40 at the Flying J Truck Stop. Not in downtown Fairview as the Map Marker suggests.

I was psyched when I found a Denny’s had opened in Fairview. Previously, the closest locations were in Southern Kentucky, and way out in Jackson, Tennessee. I have a lech for cheap and tasty breakfast food, and Denny’s fills the urge. It’s a shame that I had been about five times in the last ten years. The food is just as you’d expect: fluffy pancakes with butter and syrup, eggs, bacon, and sausage: oh so good. I got the make your own Slam for $ 5.99, and it was a good deal. The service, meh. The waitress I had was full of herself, slow when there were seven total diners in the place, and more interested in the other staff than she was in my needs. Another stupidity was that there was never anyone at the greeter’s desk. I could have dashed right out the door, and they wouldn’t have even known for five minutes. Finally, my waitress cashed me out, and her self-esteem was still through the roof. I’m sure I’ll be back: don’t know when. Fairview is a long way from Hermitage. Just don’t expect first class service: it ain’t there.
