The cookies are awesome! My wife stopped by today to get a sub sandwich. The sandwich was great, but the cookies were the highlight. We are definitely going to go back.

I live about 2 miles away from Vinnie’s and have wanted to try Vinnie’s for some time. We stopped in last night for some subs.
Vinnie was in the store by himself and we were the only customers at the time. Vinnie is a very warm and personable man. My wife is very particular about tuna fish and asked Vinnie if he used albacore tuna. Vinnie said his tuna fish is the best and provided a sample spoonful — she went for a small tuna fish sub !
I opted for a large Italian assorted (Genoa Salami, Salami Rosa, Capicolla and Mortadella). Vinnie offered to exchange the Mortadella with ham but I chose Mortadella.
The fresh rolls (made on site) were excellent, nice crust on the outside yet perfectly soft and delicious inside. Topping were fresh and crisp and the prices are the best in the area!
While we didn’t get any stuffed bread on this trip, we’re definitely going to try some soon, it looked great, along with the Sicilian pizza!
Try Vinnie’s — you won’t be disappointed !

I have to agree with the other good reviews here. I work nearby and tonight we decided to stop in for subs. Mom and pop greeted us as we walked in with smiles and a kind «Hello!». Our order was taken promptly, made with care, and the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. We each had an Italian assorted, and we both agreed the subs here are a welcome change from the same old local grind (Di Bella’s, Wegmans, etc.). The price was possibly the best I’ve seen in the area, we will definitely be back, thanks Vinny’s!

Wow! Their bread is amazing! DiBella’s/Wegmans subs had been top notch with me for years but Vinny’s blows them away!
I moved down the street over a year ago and have been wanting to get to Vinny’s for some time. I finally stopped in this past Saturday and will probably be back one day this week to pick up some more mouth-​watering food.
Vinny and his wife are the sweetest. When I walked in, Vinny was sitting and catching up with a friend. Before the friend left, while my sub was being made by Vinny’s wife, Vinny walked over and grabbed a sampling of Easter bread. He offered to his friend and the 3 other people in line, including myself. Wow! So warm, friendly and inviting AND they make delicious food. Thank you for Vinny’s for being the perfect stop for food and baked goods.

I’m from upstate NY but have moved away. Whenever I visit home and my dad in Fairport, Vinny’s is a MUST! The pizza is out of this world good and I love that it’s a small mom and pop place. That makes it so much better. The Italian cookies and canolis are amazing too. I live in Philly now, about a mile from the Italian market, and it has nothing on Vinny. Can’t wait to go back!

Don’t judge a book by its cover. This place is as authentic as it gets. The deli offers what I will rank as my current #1 sub sandwich (the rolls alone make it worth the trek). Be aware that the owners are an older couple and therefore do not rush with preparing an order but you can call ahead! They also sell fresh baked goods, I’ve only had the pepperoni bread but it was amazing. Lastly, they offer a limited but quintessential supply of imported Italian pantry staples that are likely difficult to find at other grocery stores.

Everybody loves Vinny, whats not to Love
It’s a great deli which supplies the local restaurants with wonderful bread, cookies, desserts, cheese, deli meats and pizza dough
It’s like having a uncle in the deli business if Vinny if it is not too busy ask him to sing some opera for you he was a professional opera singer 30 years ago

My family and I have been going to Vinny and his cousin’s place for almost 20 years. They are fantastic. Their food as authentic as it gets. I love their potato pizza. It is very unique. Their Ny style pizza is the best in Rochester (I am from Queens NY) and their Sicilian style is equally amazing. Best advice for visiting Vinny’s for those that are impatient is to call ahead. Everything is fresh. Their Italian cookies are my favorite. So good in fact that we had them do a large order for my sister’s wedding. Absolutely love this place!
