The food is great here most of the time. I’ve tried everything from chicken to the traditional philly including most of the sides. The service at this location is good usually however not quite as efficient as Canandaigua. The prices, I’m sad to say are quite inflated. My most recent visit, a Chicken Philly, with their combo including a side was nearly $ 18. That’s an upper tier entrée at most steak houses in the area and I’ve never come even close to that price in Philadelphia.

Said they were hiring for over a month… come to find out HIRING ZERO… pulling employees from other locations. Do not go to this location… started with lies! Have meatballs and salad at Tony D’s for same price!!!

Mac’s Philly Steaks catered our work’s employee appreciation luncheon today and everything was delicious. The chicken cheese steak was so good. Can’t wait to go to the restaurant to try the rest of their stuff!

I LOVE Philly Cheese Steaks! I work at CGI Communications and we have monthly employee appreciation days and this month Mac’s Philly Steaks came and really made my Friday fantastic! I had a regular philly steak as well as the buffalo chicken. They were both fantastic! I wish there was one on the west side! Looking forward to having another philly steak from Mac’s again soon!

Lunch today was 4″ cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions, fries, and a pop.
First the cheesesteak: soft bread direct from Philly. Excellent bread. Wish it had a bit of a crunch to it though. Meat was a small chop like I like it. Could have used more meat in it though. There was 1 chunk of inedible fattiness which was disappointing. Sorta skimpy on the onions and mushrooms. Although that all sounds negative it was a delish sandwich. Wish they had the cheese whiz style cheese too. Just for variety.
Fries: nicely seasoned and crispy. I think they’re those kind you buy frozen that have that crust on them to make them extra crispy.
Pop: they had Mello Yello and cherry coke! Who has those in the dispenser anymore!
All in all had a nice meal. Employees were really nice. Tasty food. Will definitely go back!

The steak shavings are great! The bread tasted good, a little soft for my style. I think the crust should be a little crustier like the one at Pat’s in Philly. I would go back. The price is very good for what you get.

The best cheese steak in the entire area. Honestly. Great staff and the best service! I wouldn’t advise anyone else to go any other place other than Mac’s for a steak sandwich. (Don’t forget they have one in Canandaigua AND Victor) Try ANY of the specialty cheese steaks and you won’t be disappointed. BEST CHEESE STEAK EVER!

In the area while my son plays hockey. Live 2 hours away so always take the chance to find good eats.
Super friendly, fast service and the cheese steak is phenomenal. Very clean and neat.

Love this small cute place! Great lunch stop! Fast service and a great staff! It’s a wonderful addition to the village of fairport! The buffalo chicken sandwich is amazing. I have it for lunch at least once a week…

Great steak sandwiches. Very authentic in my opinon. They have a great selection of burgers sandwiches and garbage plates. This place is alot of fun to come to. It’s small so seating is limited. But a great place to go to with friendly service.

We ordered a Philly cheesesteak and an Italian hoagie for delivery. The guy said they’d be delivered in 30 – 45, but they were at our door in maybe 10 minutes. Both sandwiches were so good that we wished we ordered larger ones!

I can say it’s the best cheesesteak in Fairport. Maybe even Rochester. The bread really makes it and thank god they have a real cheesesteak roll not some bready Di Paolo roll. I also enjoy their take on plate with shaved steak. Ain’t nothing wrong with steak on a plate. Their hot sauce, actually has seasoning that makes it a little spicy. Something you would expect from something called «hot sauce». I don’t like the fake dollars to save for a free sub seems wasteful and I lose them easily.

Was not at all impressed. Just got back from Philly, where real cheesesteaks live, and had 3 different variations while I was there. Every one of them was about 100 times better than this. Made cheesesteaks in my house, much better than this. Dibella’s? Better. Honestly, even Subway’s cheesesteaks are better. The problem, the main problem, is size. These CHEAP OUT on the meat. If you don’t want to serve large sandwiches, don’t open a cheesesteak place. Just wait until your next Philly trip, hit Pat’s, or Tony Luke’s, just not Geno’s, which is still better than this place.

I’ve had Cheese Steak sandwiches from all over and the one here is by far the best in this area. I’ve been here a couple of times and have been with different groups of people and have yet to see someone leave disappointed or with any negative feedback. Great food, great service, and very consistent.

Chicken and Steak… two of each. That was how we celebrated with my parents tonight. I had them cut each 16 inch sandwich into quarters… they were loaded with grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms and topped with cheese. It was very well portioned meat vs veg… not greasy at all! I was expecting them to be… The rolls are quite tasty– not too crunchy of a crust… just thick enough to absorb any moisture form the meat. They arrived to the house still hot in their styrofoam containers. It was a great change of pace from our usual take out routine and the service was awesome. I called ahead and they were hot and ready to go when we arrived. I was worried four subs for the 6 of us wouldn’t be enough but we actually had one full 16 inch sandwich left over! Tasty, filling, and way more than enough! We will be back…

If I want a Philly steak sandwich, I prefer the places that specialize in them. This is the specialty at Mac’s and they do it like no other place in the city. The bread, the steak and the sauces are all great.
Service is always good if you don’t mind a 10 minute wait. I had visited the locations in Canandaigua and on Commercial. Neither compared to the new Macs in Fairport.
You’ll have to try it.

I was so disappointed when I found our the East Rochester location closed, but I’m so happy I found this place. The rolls are perfect and the steak is as close as you can get in upstate New York. Fries are great and service is generally really quick and friendly.
