Discovered this gem while on a trip to some wineries in Fairplay over the summer. Paddie, the dog, greeted my friends and I and led us to the front door of the tasting area. The tasting is very cheap, if not complimentary (after a few glasses, I can’t remember!). We decided to stay for lunch and ate out on the deck with an extraordinary view. We went up on a Friday and missed the wood fired pizza on the weekends. Having such a lovely experience, we decided to return on Saturday for that pizza. It was delicious! Michael, Paddie’s human, was so delightful and inviting. We have since returned for a second trip and got to see the lodging. A beautiful and well kept place! Looking forward to returning again next time for an overnight stay!

Great food, great wine, and great service.
We had two pizzas, cheese plate, salad, and a bottle of the rose. It was all terrific and we had a beautiful view during our meal.
We will definitely be coming back.

The wine is fantastic but had to only give 3 stars due to the disappointing salmon and cheese platter. The very small amount of cheese and salmon on the plate and the lack of salami was disappointing for $ 18. The platter used to be very good when visited 2 – 3 years ago. They should not show a photo of the platter on the menu when it is this misleading. Also, they advertise brick oven pizza and do not make this, except on weekends.

We came for the amazing wood fired pizza, which we enjoyed on the patio with gorgeous views. The staff were super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests. The wine was good, when paired with the pizza.
