Stopped by Outpost on our way to Dayton OH — skeptical at first but turned out soooo good: good food, good service, welcoming atmosphere. We will be back — one of these days :)

We were a little skeptical when we pulled up to the Outpost on our way into Fairmount, but we were so glad we took the chance. I had the Peaches and Cream Pancakes — probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. My partner had the Paul Bunyan breakfast and let’s just say he didn’t leave hungry. Thanks to this small town restaurant for a fantastic breakfast stop and a memorable experience in Indiana.

Roadside diner out in the corn fields next to a trailer park. Plenty of Harley riders and rock-a-billy guys and girls(totally dressed up too, which is cool) on their way to the James Dean Museum in nearby Fairmount. Lots of bad ass motorcycles and restored cars in the parking lot on the weekend. This place has so-so food really. The big draw here is it’s a meeting place for locals. While we were eating there a bunch of old timers instantaneously broke out into a do-wop medley which was actually really good. The restrooms are in a building next door. Fun, check it out.
