Stop & Shop Supermarket

Unbelievably slow service. One person working and the line was never under 5 people.

This is the store where we do 90% of our shopping. The store is pricy, but it is basically one stop shopping. I have had good experiences with the employees who are pretty helpful. I have recently begun using the scan it service which saves much time. All you do is use the scan gun and scan and bag as you shop.

Never had too many issues here. Store is clean and they have a starbucks and hilarious deli staff. However, I shop with WIC sometimes and find it difficult at Stop & Shop. Several times there have been items in the book but were not marked on the price tag for the item which they should be and twice there were items marked WIC but once I got to the register they said they weren’t. They need to label it better and it causes other people to wait in line while I have to go switch my purchase to somthing that is qualified. Sometimes the cashiers and look pretty depressed and never really came accross one that was nice or upbeat but they get their job done no problem.

Store is clean and has a good selection of food. I would shop here over other locations any day. Also, the reason for my rating, was the deli food I tried here. Being a vegetarian, I normally don’t think of Stop & Shop as a good place to grab a bite to eat. Being as I was in a hurry, I sampled 2 different entrees from their Deli. One was a bean salad, and the other was couscous with vegetables. Both were outstanding. The couscous was cooked perfectly, something that is not easy to do, and the bean salad had many great flavors and was very healthy — I could tell that they didn’t add any sugar/​salt etc…. I must say, I was impressed! Can’t beat the price, either. I’ll definitely be back again!
That is not, to say, Stop & Shop is cheap… Most of their food is very expensive.
