Cornerstone Quilt Shoppe

I love going in here. I love the help and service. But I need to give an extra shout out. Last week I went in with my grandmother. My grandmother was wanting to duplicate a baby quilt she made for my son 12 years ago down to the exact, if not, near exact, fabric. Unfortunately, rubber ducks just are not trendy right now. Nor are the plaids she used. After visiting other places, she just could not wrap her head around substituting with colors. Yet the ladies were really trying to help my grandmother to the point of going online to other websites to search for SOMETHING. Now to me, that goes well beyond awesome customer service. It was close to closing, I know they had to be tired and ready to close down for the day, but they still took out at least an extra hour of their time to help her. I’ve always loved going in here because everyone is always friendly and remembers you by name, but last Wednesday was well more than we expected. And Dawn, I have to add a picture. We did find one awesome fabric I was able to get for my daughter. Dawn took out the time to show me the EASIEST possible way to make a pillowcase. So to conclude, I will say the pillowcase looks great and my daughter is sleeping with it now.

I have been to this quilt shop about a half a dozen times now and today was the last time. I believe this shop is only helpful to those women over the age of 50. I walked in right behind another woman (easily in her 60’s) and she was greeted and asked if she needed any help. She replied no and the woman working there proceeded to go back to what she was working on. I was in the store for about 10 mins trying to find something and not once did she even acknowledge me or ask if I needed any help. This is not the only time this has happened and today will be the last time I visit this store. They were not busy and the woman working there today wasn’t busy helping someone else. I would have given this place 1 star but they do have a decent selection of fabric although Joann’s is much better.
