Standard diner fare. If you like Black Bear or Dennys you should like this place. I had the chicken fried steak with stick to your ribs gravy, fried eggs and country potatoes which was decent. Service was good.

Decided to join friends for«brunch». We all had some variation of the Sunrise Special. I haven’t had a breakfast this good that wasn’t from my own kitchen!!! I commend the chef!

This was an unfortunate experience. The staff were really accommodating and kind but the food was terrible :(We got water and I’m assuming they did not wash the glasses out correctly, because the water tasted like it had a splash of Tequila. My uncle ordered Mac n Cheese and it tasted and looked like generic box mac n cheese. My mom ordered a side of rice pilaf, and it tasted like rice-a-roni. Several other issues, but it was just terrible. :(However, the breakfast, garlic, bread, Chicken strips, and the Chocolate cake were good!

Well, I reviewed Paul’s post. Today my husband and I stopped in for lunch. We had our normal waitress, Samantha. We both ordered the Monterey hamburger and it was delicious. Only complaint, it was so big! Samantha is a great server. Food was delicious. We tend to go back every few weeks. Totally recommend giving it a try. Make your own decision.

This was our first visit to the restaurant and will not be our last. Good food and very nice waitress. Give it a chance, you won’t be sorry. We had a burger and salad and the burger was cooked just right. The salad was fresh and delicious. Coffee was hot and plentiful. We will try their breakfast and dinner next time. I recommend this place to all kinds of appetites

When this place initially opened we were hopeful that we’d found a local family style restaurant we could go to regularly when we weren’t craving anything specific. At first it was about what we expected and we honestly weren’t expecting much. We just wanted decent consistent fare and we received that. There was a period of time when we didn’t go back for one reason or another. Little did we know we would soon regret our decision to return. Since our absence things had really gone down hill. The chef has made it clear that he has given up entirely. Quite literally every individual item on our plates was practically inedible. Disgusting even. I kept getting the feeling from the wait staff that the restaurant was on its last legs and they were just making time waiting for its last dying breath so they could kick the corpse in the way out. This included the wife of the chef/owner who acts as hostess/waitress. I can no longer recommend this location for patronage. In fact if you care at all for your health you may do better licking the left over contents of your dogs bowl. Or should I say bowels ?!

Horrible experience, after waiting 40 minutes I was told by my waitress that she forgot to put my order in. Another 30 minutes goes by and I had to ask when I would get my food and was told the computers didn’t take the order and she would put it in again. I not only had to ask when I would get my food but watched everyone eat and leave X2. We stayed and eventually ate. As I was still eating, my plate was taken and my bill dropped on the table. Horrible customer service. The food was ok. Needless to say we won’t be returning to this poorly managed restaurant.

Our waitress Adrienne was absolutely perfect. She was exactly what you would want everyone of your waitresses to be like. She was very friendly, full of smiles, and absolutely knew the menu and was very helpful in our choices. Hopefully next time we come in she will be our waitress.

My girlfriend I waited 30 mins for our food, The server came back after 30 mins and said«oh we don’t have the food that you ordered would you like something else?» At this point I had lost my appetite. I told the server is my girlfriends food ready. The server brought her plate with cold bacon, hard toast, warm hash browns, and cold eggs. This place is horrible I do not recommend this restaurant.

Very happy with the food and the service. There was no fat on my French Dip, I asked for xxxx Crispy Fries. and they delivered, my husband Loved his patty melt and Alma gave Great Service. We will be coming back again.

I can only speak for the vegetation omelets, which are great. I have come here a few times and each plate has been consistent in taste and proportion. I am not a very fussy customer… I actually prefer not to be constantly asked if I’m doing alright; if I need you, I will flag you down. With that said, they are really good at following up with customers… almost annoyingly so. Some servers seem more genuine than others, but that does not bother me very much. Today, one of the hostesses forgot to give a party they’re silverware. The manager then started going on about how that was an example of bad service for EVERYONE to hear. He even coached his servers in front of the dining area where the customers heard everything. I felt that what he did was very unprofessional and was an example of even WORSE service than forgetting someone’s silverware. As a manager myself, I embarrassed for the employee. He should have apologized to and taken care of the party and handled the coaching conversation in the back.

I like Benicia Grill. It’s no different from any other mom and pops I’ve eaten at before. There’s nothing that seems to shout or stand out for me to be crazy over. I can tell you that it is a great breakfast place to go to if it’s near your house. Especially if you don’t want to go to one of the chain restaurants in the area. When we got there, the parking lot was full of cars. This is always a good sign for me. We were greeted and seated almost right away. This was nice! The hostess was very nice and welcoming. When our server approached us, she smiled and greeted us with great customer service skills. Another plus! We ordered breakfast. It was delicious and cooked just the way I requested it to be. Yummy. The orange juice was fresh. We enjoyed our breakfast here and will definitely return with friends and family.

My boyfriend and I ate here a few months ago and I will NEVER be back. I am not a picky eater and actually appreciate food from small, «hole in the wall» establishments… but this place served me the worst food I have ever eaten. We were getting tired of eating at the same restaurants so we decided to try Benicia Grill 2 for the first time. I ordered the prime rib and he ordered the chicken fried steak. The food took forever to come out and when it finally did, I was even more upset with the poor quality and lack of flavor. His chicken fried steak was literally leaking grease and my prime rib had the taste and texture of a chalkboard eraser. If you love food like I do, spare yourself the anger and just eat somewhere else.

This place is horrible and I will never, ever go back again no matter how hungry I am!!! I ended up trying this place for two reasons… 1) My original intent was to go to Adalberto’s next door, but the drive-thru line was too long. 2) I had eaten at the Benicia Grill in Benicia and thought it was good. So walk in and wait to be seated, as the sign clearly stated. I stood there for a few minutes looking around for the host/hostess. Finally, after about 3 minutes, a woman walks out of the bar and asks me if I need something. I said yes, I would like to be seated. I have no idea why she acted so surprised. I mean, this is a restaurant, right? I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. The few people seated in the restaurant were already eating, so I’m thinking my order should be out quickly. Meanwhile, they are having karaōke in the bar and it is WAY too loud. I don’t mind karaōke and I can tolerate it to a degree, even when the people can’t sing well. It’s about the fun, but there is a huge difference between karaōke and having a karaōke concert. My girlfriend calls me while I was waiting for my order and I couldn’t hear a word she was saying because the karaōke it too loud. I asked the waitress if she could close the door leading into the bar. She did and another bar waitress opened it back up within seconds. I would like to point out that I have worked for many well-known bands, and toured all over the world with a well-known Bay Area band, so I know about decibel levels and know what is TOOLOUD. I was totally irritated by this point and asked for a to-go box. I took my order to my car and tried to eat it. It was nothing short of GROSS. I have no idea what it was, but it wasn’t a Philly Cheesesteak. I could only eat 2 bites before I ended up throwing it away. The owners need to Google«Philly Cheesesteak» and see what it is supposed to be. Deinifitely not worth $ 14+(with a Coke which was extremely flat). I seriously doubt this place will be open for another year. Not as long as they serve that crappy, over-priced food. I would have been better off going next door to Carl’s Jr.

Found hair on the plate of 1 of 3 three plates we ordered! When we showed the manager/owner he said«basically«he did not believe us! He argued with us, then tossed our change back on the table. He NEVER offered a break on the price or replacement of the plate in question. He was rude and demeaning. As the owner, you would think he knew better. None of us will ever eat there again. I will continue to advise as many people as possible — DONOTEATTHERE! P. S. I shared this story with a few of my friends, only to discover they also had a bad experience there and will never return.

I wasn’t wowed with the food. Don’t get me wrong — the food was okay, but I definitely don’t see us driving to Fairfield from Dixon to come here again. The ladies who served us this morning were absolutely sweet & kept up on our coffee refills. So definitely 5 star service, but the food, merp. I come here every week for a business meeting and decided to try eating here for lunch today. We have been sitting in a nearly empty restaurant for 20 min so far waiting for our meals.
