The Silver Diner is very good and consistent! The reason they get 4 stars is because they have never gotten the sauce on the eggs benidict correct. pasty, eehhh… That being said, the food, Service and atmosphere is great! The morning hostess and much of he staff has been there a very long time. That is always a good sigh to me. I eat there often and would recomens the place!

I liked it. It’s certainly not fancy but they have so many options, food quality is fresh and decent, and great customer service at this location. My server was Amel, she was attentive and informing as it was my first time there. I would certainly come back to try other items on the menu!

Service was prompt, as it was a Tuesday night, though they did bring me to a just used and unclean table, which they cleaned up immediately. Service was friendly and accommodating and delivery was pretty quick. My only real issue was I swear the menu stated I also got a pancake with my entrée(yes, I live brinner[breakfast for dinner]), I chose not to contest the servers knowledge and accepted the harsh reality of no pancake. Food was enjoyed and no other issues occurred.

This place locked their doors an hour before closing. On the door it even says closes at 12. Every staff member inside just looked at us til we left the door. I’m confused is this a normal thing?

I went back here and I’m bumping up my review to 3 stars, and I think that’s where it will stand. Vinny was my server again. He was very prompt and respectful and remembered who I was almost immediately. No milkshake this time, but a cranberry juice, and the Lumberjack breakfast. Everything came out quick, which was nice. Portion was big too. The pancakes were very good and the home fries were as well. I am keeping it at 3 because of the grease on the eggs and the country ham(yes, both were also very good). The chicken sausage was below my expectation. This time though no quirky incidents with the food, so I was happy for that, and a decent breakfast again too.

If you haven’t eaten at the Silver Dinner in awhile you should check it out. Their food has gotten so good. The hamburgers are delicious. We ate there tonight and the service was impeccable.

I visit from Texas a lot for family and this is my favorite place to go every time I visit. I honestly only ever get breakfast item and I try to get different items each visit and so far I have never been disappointed. Also the coffee is great.

we used to live in Chantilly about 15 yrs ago and would come to this restaurant every single week, quite the regulars we were the food was outstanding as was the service. I will not go into to all the food back in the day as it was all good the pancakes were the thin crispy kind that I adore. no matter the time of day we went we would find a line out the door and were happy to stand in it. lets fast forwarded to several yrs ago we stopped in husband got his usual eggs and meat. it was ok I got the pancakes nooo they had now changed them to the fat kind I do not like, blah what a let down. fast forwarded to yesterday friday 11 am, we happened to be in the area which is so rare we decided to try it one more time. husband got his eggs and meat gad he is so typical. I got pancakes and two scrambled eggs loose which means not so dry they will bounce off the wall and not so «un –cooked» they are raw. so she comes back with two burnt pancakes what ever I was only going to take a few bites anyway being all fat not thin and crispy and eggs that you would actually need a straw to eat. husbands eggs over easy were over cooked and his cakes were kind of waved over the griddle never really seen blond pancakes before. I am not kidding a straw there was about hmm quarter a cup of liquid on my plates of raw eggs. I just was dumbfounded which was obvious as the waitress said not cooked enough? well I hate to be a bother but do you think you could have them toss this on the grill for another minute? oh sure no problem. I wait so long I figure ok they will be rubber but whatever better then liquid. she comes back plops the pâté back down and says good enough. I am sure this plate has not been touched as the eggs are still floating on my plate the pools of raw eggs have not even moved a smig. I quickly take a small bite before she scampers off and stone cold. so I say no there is now way these have been touched please take them off my bill, the manger stopped by and apologized and left me with a free coupon for a free entrée good for one month. well gee thanks. knowing we will never go back as I pass by this young women eating alone I hand her this coupon and say hope you can use it, she thanks me and takes it. mind you our waitress is behind me all but standing in my shadow seeing this I can only hope she did not take it from her. if this waitress cared about her job in the least she would have seen the plate had not been touched and was stone cold. yes I tipped her against my better judgment 15 not my usual 20. so sad this place was our go to most favorite place to eat ever why on earth did they let it go to… why would you go out of your way to destroy awesomeness? maybe if you go you will have better luck, different cook, better waitress as the products dont seem to be the issue.

We stopped over to get some dinner and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. It looks a traditional old fashioned diner on the outside. I was actually quit shocked when I looked at the menu and saw all the healthy options. Calorie and sugar gram counts were available next to items on the menu. It was great to see how the vegan and veggie items were readily integrated into the menu and not excluded like an «other» category. We sat at the counter and had great customer service. The hibiscus lemonade tea was also a pleasant surprise. I would like to come back and try other items on the menu, next time. Overall, it was a great experience and I was happy to find out that many of the veggies and fruits are harvested locally. I wish this diner was available in Cali.

The Silver Diner is a great casual dining option no matter what time of day it is. They have many choices for even the pickiest eaters. They can tell you what farms most of the ingredients came from too. The shakes are always a huge hit with our guests. The staff is always friendly. You can’t go wrong with this place. *This is the best Silver Diner we have been to(it’s a small, local chain).

Went here with a friend and ordered the banana chocolate chip French toast. The staff was nice but this dish was a disappointment. It looks amazing but it was cold and there was way too much banana to the point I couldn’t even taste the French toast.

Came here for some breakfast. At first walking in a to this place I thought it was nice and clean and the people seemed nice. We sat down and I’m looking through the menu for basic French Toast which they did not have. For those of you that love caramel have at it but for me I am not a fan. So we placed my special order just no caramel French toast with eggs and bacon. The coffee was good they serve it is a large cup which is nice. The meal was good but the surrounding was not good. We were sat next to a man who clearly was a regular but once he was done starting coughing up mucous and nasal discharge very loud and disgusting like. I almost vomited. We get the check and we were charged another cup of coffee for a refill. wtf! Who does that. Overall the food reminded me of IHOP/Denny’s all except for the price. And the atmosphere was hugely disgusting brought to you by the regular customer and the price was just insane! Not going back.

It’s been years since we have visited the little ‘silver diner’ on the corner of Fair Lakes Blvd and Ox. We had some errands to run and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat but nothing in the area was open for lunch at 10AM. There was a slight line at the entrance but the staff kept things moving. They were responsive and courteous and were aware if people were waiting in the horrible heat outdoors. Our server was awesome. They staff all around had a ‘practiced speech’ asking if this was our first visit and whether we were aware of the new menu. We could hear every server asking each table the same question. This is cool. I wanted something plain and non-friend and ordered the grilled cheese with ‘fried’ bacon and upgraded to sweet potato fries. Everything tasted great. My sammy could have used a tad more cheese since it was grilled on awesome sourdough and that bread is thick. I can’t complain because I did break down and order ‘fries’ albeit sweet potato, but they were ‘fried’. It was so light and crispy, I inhaled as fast as I could… Hubby enjoyed his big salad, aka Cobb Salad. It looked very tasty. Overall, service and food were good. This place stepped up their game since our last visit many years ago. I’m sure we’ll see their menu sometime soon!

What’s not to like about the Silver Diner? Throwback nostalgia seating with contemporary healthy menu. Perhaps the healthiest options available in a chained Resturant or anywhere for that matter The menu is interesting and mouthwatering. You will want to comeback to sample locally grown ingredients. Each store stands behind their product with a 100% guarantee. SD is open at all hours making it the perfect option for after hour party rest stop or early breakfast. Kids of all ages love the booths with the personal jukebox Service can be below standard when you are waited on by a trainee but generally the management is good and conscientious. Their commitment to changing the world with healthy sustainable ingredient out-ways any service issue I wish I lived closer to a Silver Diner

Food: The highlight of the food is the super fresh ingredients. One of the few places you can get a really tasty and yet healthy meal that isn’t dunked in sodium. Price: very reasonable for the quality. Service: no complaints. Friendly Atmosphere: casual and welcoming Favorite dish: the philly steak omelet is to die for. I also really enjoy the grilled flounder.

Silver Diner has delicious farm to table diner food, yet keeps reasonable prices. My parents and I visited for a Sunday brunch. I had the Huevos Rancheris organic bison chorizo and ordered a side of sauteed garlic spinach — delicious. My dad had the Philly cheesesteak omelette and said it was the best omelette he’s ever had. My mom enjoyed her thick-cut french toast. The menu is incredible — great for paleo, gluten free, and low-carb diners if you want to eat that way. Conventional dieters will enjoy everything else as well. One thing that surprised me was that cakes and pies weren’t prominently displayed on the counters like I’m used to seeing in diners in the NE. A small army is employed at Silver Diner, so they can handle a large volume of people quickly. Fun jukeboxes were at each table and we enjoyed flipping through them. I’m not sure if they work right because my song never came up, but perhaps we just didn’t wait long enough. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience and I’d like to come back for another visit someday.

Farm to table, with a list of the farms from which the ingredients were grown or raised. I love the concept. All day breakfast, I love that too. Unfortunately, some farm to table establishments rely on concept to bring in customers, this is not the case here. The food is well crafted, well thought out, and delicious. I had the bison and chorizo juevos rancheros. The multigrain tortillas were different, but good. The rest of the dish was fantastic, chorizo, bison, egg, avacado, love… it was all in there. I highly recommend this«flexitarian» restaurant.

Delicious healthy food with gluten free options and open 24 hours. We went here with 14 family members at around 9am we were seated within 5 minutes. Service: great, every employee we encountered had smiles on their faces and greeted us warmly. The owner introduced himself and made conversation while I was walking my son around the diner, it was a nice experience everyone made us feel comfortable. Overall: 24 hour diners have a notorious reputation for having greasy food that will give you a heart attack, but not the silver diner, food from local farmers markets definitely make this place stand out from the other 24 hour diners I have been to. So if you’re looking for a healthy farm fresh meal with reasonable costs I would highly recommend this place

Stopped here for breakfast on a snowy Saturday morning and were seated right away. The food was average and not bad, although it seemed everything was cooked just a titch too long. Pancakes were too dark, both the bacon and sausage had burned edges, and the biscuit was overcooked to the point of crumbling. Only the eggs seemed properly cooked, which made me wonder if other foods are cooked in advance/reheated to serve, while eggs are cooked to order. Service was not terribly great — we had to ask for coffee refills and remind the server about bringing our kid’s drink. Breakfast for two adults and one kid was $ 36, including tip. In short, the visit here reminded us why we hadn’t been to Silver Diner in years. The menu looks like they’ve made some changes to include fresh foods and healthier choices, and the kids’ menu has options from vegetarian to gluten free to everything in between.
