Shilla Fairfax just vaulted up to the top of my bakery/snow cream/ice stores. They make an incredible Milk Tea snow fluff that has both rich tea flavor along with a highly unique texture and consistency. Something like this in FFx is what I have been looking for for awhile. Previously I had to go to Annandale for Snocream but now that hey have added this to the menu at Shilla. It is definitely a game changer.

I bookmarked this on Unilocal after moving nearby and was excited to try it one day while my parents were visiting. While the bread and pastries were good, they were absolutely unfriendly. My mom was super sweet and thankful after making her purchases and the cashier just looked at her with a stone cold face. Not sure they’re good enough for me to tolerate on a repeat visit. Will try other bakeries with better reviews.

Great bakery with lots of different kinds of foods, pastries, breads and drinks. I always get their bubble tea, very good all year round. I have tried some of their breads, every one has their own preferences, but overall good quality. their frozen desserts are better when you don’t ask for it to go. I would recommend for others.

Shilla was our go to place 10 years ago. But it is getting worse and worse. Their desert is okay, but the cakes are horrible. Got a strawberry cake as indicated in the pictures, the cake looks cute in the display, but in fact, it is a pure butter pile. This is a $ 20 dollar cake, but less than 30% is edible. Unless you want to eat the rest of the butter to clog your artery. Their bubba don’t even have the powder mixed well before it is served… They also bakes wedding cake, OMG, imagine this is served at your wedding… Stay away… PS: Breeze has much better cake.

The baked goods are excellent here! We love the Sesame cookies and the Madelines are fantastic.

I’ve been here three times and so far it’s decent. It’s not amazing but better than ok and good enough to stop by often. Their cakes are a little pricey for the portion but very delicious. I actually prefer the sweet goods to their sandwiches. There is always enough room but I’m not sure if they have wifi. One day I was able to get connection but now I can’t.

Love this place! I typically go to the Annandale location but happened to be in Fairfax so I dropped in. I actually prefer this location as there is much more space here. I usually come for the pastries, which are always delicious. My favorites are the banana pastry, fruit cake and strawberry short cake. The boba is also great! I’ve also tried the bulgoki sandwich and that too was delicious. Oh, and you can never go wrong with the delicious free samples!

This place is awesome. They give free samples of most of their cakes and it is great because you can taste many different ones and pick whichever you like best. Prices are very good. Cakes are light and delicious. Not too rich

This place gives out free samples! I love free samples! I usually come here to get random unique Korean pastries and baked goods. I always get something different and it is always really good! I also like how they change up what they make and everything is fresh and made that day! The doughnut with red bean on the inside is my absolute favorite! I also love the baked good that has the shou cream on the inside and looks like a sugared bun. It is sooo yummy! They also recently put out some matcha twist bread and it is AMAZING! I have gotten it like 3 times already! It’s well priced and it tastes amazing! Only problem is, you have to eat it fast because it goes bad and if you want to save it for later, refrigerate it! Their other breads are really good and I love the unique ideas they have to make all the different types of breads and baked goods. The only things I don’t really like at Shilla are their cookies. The red velvet cookie is not that good. They aren’t amazing, and I also don’t like their bubble tea. I’m not sure exactly why, but there is something about it that I just don’t like. Maybe it’s the powder in it, but who knows, I just don’t like it very much. The bubbles are also not to my liking. I one day must try their cakes! Still haven’t done that, but the price is worrying me. I find them expensive and I don’t want to get it and be sorely disappointed. I really like how they are open so late too. It’s always awesome to be able to come in at late hours, grab a quick dessert and go!

Not bad of a place, I’ve been hearing a lot about this place and decided to give it a try. I went mainly for the pastries. Everything they have behind the glass counter looked so expensive. But away, the pastries that I have grabbed were only $ 1.50 and up each so it wasn’t that bad. I had the tuna filled one, green bean, red bean, a hot dog filled one, donut style, sesame cookies. Most of them were very sweet. I need to try their other things like boba, Korean dishes, and their cakes!

Their tea is quality made and their service is friendly and quick. I like how they give out free samples. Overall, the place is very cultured and casual. I would definetely recommend it to all my friends.

Decided to come here during my lunch break and was not satisfied. Ordered 2 sandwiches for my boss and I on the phone and they only gave me one so I had to wait for another to be made. Asked for 2 pickles and only got one(maybe we both wanted to refresh our tastebuds between each bite). Food was good service was not. I’d only come if you have some time and patience.

I went here around 9pm on a Tuesday night with a friend for dessert and it was pretty dead. The seats are the metallic ones so I would say it’s not really a place I would linger. The bathrooms were clean though and it seemed that the facilities themselves weren’t bad. Think this may be a relatively new location. We only order the fruit bingsoo. Their snow ice machine wasn’t working so we got the normal bingsoo ice. But it was hard and not the tastiest. Otherwise, it was a typical Shilla bingsoo. They didn’t really give us enough condensed milk but they were kind enough to give us more when we asked without any huge problems. In general it was fine if you are in the area and need a quick fix but as the Shilla Bakery chain goes, it wouldn’t be my favorite

While the decoration is good and there are numerous kind of cakes/breads/pastries with nice looking, they taste unfortunately horrible! The cake is super super sweet, and with weird texture. Please don’t try the sweet potato latte!!! It should be called sweet potato soup, not latte!!! It’s horribly sweet and it would make your tongue numb.

I love Shilla! The cakes here are amazing and extremely well priced. For example my wedding cake was only $ 260 and it has 4 large tiers of different flavored whipped creamed cakes that were place on a special tray. My cake except for the top was saved the rest was completely gone and everyone was saying how much they loved it. Not only beautiful but delicious and I found out my father in law had 3 slices, and he wasn’t the only one. Luckily everyone had cake. Also typically for going away interns, I also run over to grab something special. Not only does it bring my coworkers together as a team, it’s something we all can enjoy. A second to really enjoy each other’s company.

The one in Fairfax is less crowded than the one in Annandale, which means quicker service and they don’t skimp on the bingsoo toppings. However, their selections in bread/pastries are smaller compared to the one in Annandale. So far haven’t been disappointed and it’s best to go with friends and share a bingsoo to catch up over dessert!

Always so delicious! I love visiting this place and usually stop by during my lunch break for an afternoon treat, however this time I stopped in after work. The shelves weren’t as full as they usually were but they still had a good selection of cakes to choose from. The best part of this store is that they put samples out so you can try them before purchasing. Their cakes are soooo soft and melt in your mouth, the fillings aren’t too sweet and over powering, well, not all of them and their staff is really nice. They also have a grill in this specific store, I haven’t been to other Shilla Bakery’s and don’t know how they’re set up. I want to go in there and try their Teriyaki Chicken, next time. Did I mention that they’re SUPER low in their prices, very reasonable. $ 3 for a nice big piece of cake? Come on, can’t beat that. Definitely stop by! I’d add pictures but I ate it all! Nom Nom Nom !

Just like many other patrons, I also have frequented the Annandale location many times. I still prefer that location over this one. I enjoy the fact that the Fairfax location is newer and feels bigger due to high ceilings. However, on a weeknight, the place is BARREN. It is awkward to be the only one sniffing around the breads and pastries and trying to figure out what to purchase. I wish this place would garner the crowds that Annandale does. I think the prices here are hit or miss. Teas are rather expensive, but the breads are very affordable. Pastries and other baked goods are pretty much run of the mill. In terms of food/drink flavors, everything is just fine. Bottom line: I guess it’s fun to swing by to get a treat. I think if you go too many times though, you may get tired of the offerings. They don’t differ much from location to location.

I like Shilla Bakery. I usually frequent the one in Annandale, since it’s on my way to work. The cousins and I had just paid a visit to Super H Mart nearby, so we decided to drop by this Shilla location. The parking area can get a bit tight, since it’s shared with other shops around. The variety of baked goods at this location seems a bit less. There were a couple of free samples laying around, but still no where near as many as their Annandale location. There is plenty of seating available and restrooms are in the back. The cashier was super sweet and quick. Their baked goods are delicious as always. Light, not too sweet, and made fresh daily.
