Best Pub in Fairfax! They have an amazing happy hour, great food, better prices. What more can you ask for in the NOVA area? On top of that the regulars are a hilarious crowd to be around. I think I found my home away from home.

Went here for karaōke on a Saturday night. The deejay was pretty good but had a bit of a bad attitude with people that weren’t regulars. The seating was good, not all bar top tables so that was nice. It was unnecessarily loud for the size of the bar, which made it difficult to talk to your friends. There seemed to be a large group of regulars, which is typically welcome at a karaōke bar, but they weren’t very cordial and I’d be disappointed if they were there every night because they monopolized the one waitresses time to the point that we couldn’t even order food or drinks in a reasonably timely manner. The music selection was only mediocre. I think it’s a decent enough place but I’m not certain if I’d go there again.

I’ve been here about three times in three months. Why? Because my entire neighborhood goes for Karaōke. Is it a dive? Yes. Is it smoky? Yes. Is the wine selection horrible? Yes. But the DJ for karaōke is fun. The mood is fun. The apps are your typical bar food. They make good shots. Is the place clean? No. I go for the fun. And maybe I’ve missed something, but the website looks like just a thread of comments(with profanity). So strange. Unprofessional and needs serious work.

I have been going to this place for a long time. Now, they have a non-smoking area. The crowd has changed though and atmosphere is nicer but little less interesting. Wings ordered were mild but definitely not«mild» haha and I eat very hot food. Server seemed pre-occupied but the food was drinks were good. Please remove your decorations from Halloween and New Years though… almost February hahaha.

What a find, totally different than the local businesses around. Great food, cold beer and even better service. Prices reasonable and if you like local bars, this is one for you! We will be back. P. S. Don’t let the smoking issue bother you unless you are totally against it. It’s reasonable and a last bastion for those who do smoke.

Since it’s October the bar is full on ready for halloween which is fantastic. I went on a Saturday night for karaōke, it was pretty good. The drinks were a decently priced(about $ 4.50 for a bottle of angry orchard), the sound system for karaōke was decent, and the crowd was a lot of fun. I didn’t get to taste any of the food, but it smelled delicious. If you’re looking for a dive bar that’s not in DC, this is a good place to try out.

Food was alright. Froze my rear end off so bring a jacket. Sat in non smoking area, but hacked and wheezed anyway because the smoke found a way to get through. On to the positive… best server I have ever had!

It’s an established local bar. The food is ok; I’ve sat at the bar and had a meal. It’s common to see motorcycles here. They have pool inside. It’s not my normal style of place, but I’d recommend them particularly if you like your beer with pool and bikes.

This place is spectacularly divey but holds a special place in my heart. It’s a piece of Manassas smack dab in the middle of Fairfax. They still have a partitioned indoor smoking area that’s always jam packed so you’ll find me on the quieter non-smoking side. The servers/bartenders are no-nonsense and very efficient. What’s very unexpected is how delicious their food is. Their pizza is awesome!!! They are super affordable and are always offering some kind of special. Their happy hour goes until 8:00 and they always have a shooter of the week, a drink of the week and specials on drinks during all hours. Their cook always comes out to give my husband and I hug and there is just something homey about this place. Five stars for food, comfort, price and always feeling welcomed. I heart you, Patriots.

Patriot’s Pub and Grill is a dive bar located just under a mile of my house. Before I’d even entered its doors, I checked out its website. This was unlike any website for an area bar I’d ever seen. It was barely a website at all. Instead, it just had the Patriot’s logo at the top of the page, along with a string of «guest book» entries that looked like the early 90’s message boards that I only got to see at my cousin’s house because my parents hadn’t gotten the internet yet. Among the string of posts over the past couple years, a few stood out to me: I got really drunk there last night Some Idioy keeps writing the begining of the same joke about a duck on the wall of the batroom and never finishes it. It’s very frustrationg. damn that new kelly girl is a trip. shes awful almost all the time. FUCKTHAT. Kelly is awesome and everyone loves her. YEA man. Kelly is awesome and she always has the best service. and finally, Two girls broke up with me after a night here Intrigued, I asked a few of my friend who didn’t know any better to go there with me, and they said yes. As we walked in, the first thing we noticed was a bar with lots of sports paraphernalia and an oh-so-rare smoking section, which was separately ventilated and connected by windows. The end result was that sitting at a table, you had a view of tattooed bikers in leather as if they were rare northern Virginia fish in an aquarium. Kelly, the waitress that they fought over on the online guest book, greeted us in a low cut white tank top and cutoff jean shorts. She was exceedingly friendly, but I’m not sure that’s why the gentlemen on the message board stood up for her so fervently. As I glanced around at the other waitresses – no waiters in sight, I realized that this was probably the training ground for the Hooters in the same shopping center. She yelled to us, asking what kind of beer we wanted, over the sound of a chubby girl belting out Evanescence at the karaōke stage at the front of the bar. We ordered several pitchers of Bud Light. Over the next couple of years, there were many nights like these. There were $ 4 bacon cheese fries and more pitchers than I could count sometimes. There was a black dude with a mohawk singing The Killers: «Are We Human, or Are We Dancer?» I was just so happy to be there, I wasn’t sure why we had to decide. There was a man clad in a collared shirt and slacks who looked like he was coming from a job in a cubicle that he hated. His song was«Mr. Roboto,» and he’d performed it so many times that the words were second nature, so he was able to start adding movements. Of course he did the robot, but less expected was his foray into jumping onto the sticky sets of the booths. There was a guy in his fifties who’d wear dad jeans, and his area of expertise was fake reggae artists, of which there are exactly two: Sean Paul and Shaggy. He was able to make his voice sound so similar to these artists that I was convinced that if he were thirty years younger and he lost the dad jeans, they’d give him a record deal. I want to get married here. I want to name my firstborn Patriots. And when I die, I would like my ashes to be scattered throughout the smoking section of the bar. Perhaps this will inspire that gentleman to finish his joke about the duck.

Pretty good dive bar. Great priced pitchers and decent bar food. DONOT go into the bar area. It’s a smoky, nasty place with crappy bartenders, worn out old hags and bikers with crappy tattoos. The restaurant area is a good place for after work but don’t bring children, old people, people with respiratory ailments, your priest, or pets. Bonus if you take out your dentures. Don’t take chances by staying late into the night.

Great bar to stop in for a few beers. I have been in there a few times and the wings and such general bar food are pretty good. There is a smoking section for those who smoke and i sit in the non smoking section and really didn‘t smell it.

I ate here 50 times during the time I live in Fairfax. The wait staff is excellent and try the pizza you will not be disappointed. The crust on the pizza is the best I’ve ever had.

This review is based on 3 visits so far… I agree with previous reviewers about the wings, which are great. [To my mind, they rival Southside 815’s wings… I think I’ll have to have a wing-off to determine which are better… side-by-side…] Add a bowl of chili, a cold brew and I went to my happy place… The negative for me(or positive, perhaps to others) is that they allow smoking in half the bar(one of those grandfather-clause things). The non-smoking half is divided by doors that open and close often and which causes the smoke to filter in to the non-smoking side. I’m not a smoke-nazi. But I don’t like smelling it when I’m eating… I think it would be good to watch a game here…

Only reason I will come back is for their happy hour pitchers! $ 5.50. what a steal! Other than that, I don’t think I’ll come back just because the service was terrible. Everytime we needed our server, she had gone missing. It took us forever to get what we needed. We actually had to get up and look for her to ask for our bill. At one point I had my arm raised trying to get her attention and she practically looked past me every time. I thought it was an honest mistake at first, but it was constantly happening. She had no awareness of her customers needs. I’m not blaming just one server though. The entire staff needs to work on their customer service!!!

Feeling like karaōke and not afraid to perform for a crowd? Enter Patriot’s Pub & Grill, a super casual, very divey joint in the heart of Fairfax City. As the name suggests, this place is frequented by many Mason students, but it serves non-students/non GMU people just as well as a fun evening entertainment option. The binder of songs that you can choose from is huge and varied and arranged alphabetically. I did not partake in the singing, but I enjoyed watching my cousins give energetic performances. Other customers were also a delight to hear and observe, some more so than others… Patriot’s has a decent list of drinks, and the beer options are fantastic. The spinach artichoke dip was very good, very cheesy. I wish service was a little friendlier, but I guess you can’t ask for too much in such a setting. 3.5 stars

AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING wings! Cannot stress enough how much I love their grilled wings. I often order these for takeout. Atmosphere is fun! Lots of drunk folks in the evenings. Waitresses have peppy personalities and make your visit enjoyable. They have karaōke nights which are fun to watch. Highly recommended if you don’t mind loud drunk people.

Interesting place! I showed up at Patriot’s Pub & Grill around 2:30PM on a weekday looking for some grub. The restaurant was mostly empty, aside from the inside smoking station. This smoking station is blocked off at the bar and was packed with people. While I’m not a smoker, I waited patiently for someone to help me decide on an order. After much debate, I went with the club sandwich and chips. The sandwich is HUGE and delicious. It’s very heavy, and I could only make my way through about half of the giant sandwich. It was a-ok. The chips were home-cooked and quite tasty as well. As an overall, the place was interesting — it’d be great if I were looking for an indoor smoking place. Otherwise, I’m not sure Hubby would enjoy the atmosphere.
