Hurried rushed .this a training facility. I went in with painful dry eye syndrome, just diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. I am only 50… due to using nasonex nasal spray for allergies, it has a steroid component. So after a 3 plus hours appointment, I was afraid that this was not the right place to be, I was examined by 2 very nice, untrained interns, that did the same tests on my sore eyes, and then the doctor visited with me,(at LONGLAST). I told him that I was in pain, concerned about eye surgery and was mad that I had 2 interns performing tests that he would have to repeat again on me… He explained that this was a training facility and that was how they do things??? WHAT? Ummm don’t plan on letting them perform surgery on me. good luck getting them on the phone. prepare for a 30m min wait. I am going to go to a professional doctor. not interns. Oh and I have the best insurance out there.

I went to Dr. Baldinger’s office for a consult on getting ICL(implantable contact lens) surgery. He belongs to one of these«mega practices» with what seems like a lot of doctors. There were a lot of people in the waiting room. His nurses were very polite and efficient, but I spent very little time with the doctor. Whereas the doctor I wound up choosing to do my ICL surgery spent an hour with me one-on-one, discussing the surgery and answering all of my questions, Dr. Baldinger’s office policy is to give you a portable DVD player and have you sit down and watch a video on the surgery that is produced by the manufacturer of the ICL lens, Visian. There were many people there with me, watching videos on other types of procedures. I wasn’t very impressed. He seemed like a nice man, but I wouldn’t go back to him or his practice because I felt like a number.(And if anything, I shouldn’t be — this surgery costs double what LASIK does, and insurance pays for none of it. So I’m a nice big check for him.)
