Home Sweet Home Inspections

Andy Gardner did our home inspection today. The inspection was scheduled for 10am and at just about 3:30pm we were done. To say he was thorough is an understatement. When we arrived at the house he was already up on the roof investigating the shingles, gutters, chimney, etc… and he worked his way around the whole exterior, the attic, and the interior, then into the unfinished basement, and the crawl space under the house. He spent a good amount of time discusses how we need to re-​grade the landscaping to help keep water away from the home.
We learned so much about the property we were buying and about home ownership in general. We feel like we understand much better what we are buying now. Andy was patient and knowledgable. His expertise was invaluable, he even helped use prioritize which repairs and renovations we should take on first. We will certainly be recommending him whenever we have the chance in the future and would definitely use him again. We honestly can’t imagine a home inspection being any better than this one was. Andy is the gold standard.

We were not able to attend the home inspection, so once we actually moved in we found a lot of missed big ticket things. The floor is soft in the upstairs living room all around the fireplace and the laminate flooring are all separated. We have a roof leak also!

The inspector, Andy, was really thorough and went out of his way to explain every step of the process with us. His report included many pictures and was very specific about issues of concern with the house. We are lucky to have found him – would definitely recommend him to a friend!
