The prices are expensive, but worth it. Trying to save some money, I bought cheaper look-alike shirts somewhere else, but the cheap shirts wrinkle terribly and need to be ironed. I’ve never had to iron the Flynn & O’Hara shirts. I also don’t like the quality of the knock-off brand’s jumpers or pants. I’ve never had uniform pants or jumper wear out — even though they get passed down to 3 of my daughters. PE clothes are a different story. Those pants always need to be sewed and replaced. There used to be a policy that if the uniform wore out within the year, they’d replace it, but I don’t think this applies to the PE pants.

The Fairfax store runs likes a well oiled machine. They deal with many different schools, many different students, all very efficiently. The store is well organized, clean and the employees are eager to help.

Outrageously overpriced for low quality. The staff is helpful but buttons fall off, knees wear thru and the the fit/sizes are weird. They don’t have to be competitive in anyway since many school only allow clothes from this store.

I think it’s unfortunate that there isn’t more competition because the staff seem to treat customers knowing that they’re the only show in town and you have to deal with them. I have had to deal with them for 7 years but this year has been the worst. I ordered shorts because the store was out of stock in my son’s size. I waited over 2 weeks and they still didn’t arrive. When I tried to check on the status, I was transferred from their HQ to the store to the warehouse and then back to the store, where they disconnected the call. I called and was transferred to the store again and told that my order was not in(this is after 30 minutes of calls and transfers). I said that I wanted to cancel the order and was told that I would have to call back to the warehouse. I called the warehouse to cancel and was told that the order was sent to the store 3 days after I placed the order — so it should be there. By now, I was looking at close to 45 minutes of calls and asked to just cancel the order altogether. Last year, I placed an online order for P.E. clothes and received items with the wrong school’s logo — once again, the return and receive process took weeks to rectify. In that instance, I was given a coupon towards a future purchase. I believe that competition would eliminate a lot of these issues because one shops where there is good service.

Worst experience ever. A lady elbowed my kid deliberately at the store(because my son had jiggled the dressing room door where she and her teen age son were in). While I was confronting this lady one of the customer service guy told me that I was making a scene instead of asking how my kid was doing. I left the store and called the police and then informed the manager, who was talking to the lady that had elbowed my child. The manager said well she might also press charges on you, like trying to scare me instead of trying to investigate what had happened, again I wasn’t asked if my 8 year old child was ok. I left the store upset again and waited for the police to get there. Once the police got there I led them to the manager who said the lady had left. They must have let her go through the backdoor because I was at the front paying attention and making sure she didn’t leave. The lady’s son works at the store, so I guess they were protecting her. This manager should be fired, she chose to avoid the incident and wash her hands. No concern what so ever for a child. I will contact headquarters and the better business bureau. One mom actually told me as I was walking out of the store she would have done the same and probably even more.

The only reason they get three stars is because the employees are quite helpful. If you think private school is expensive, you haven’t seen anything until you shop at this store.
