This is a popular restaurant in Fairbanks and one of the points of interest. That being said I would recommend that you pass on this resturant. It is generic food– typical of what you would find at Denny’s or Village Inn. Nothing special. The name is cute but the scenery inside is uninspired and generic. Not worth it guys! Also the service is quite slow.

Cute place, nice staff, the coconut oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is a must. My friend and I split the calzone and garden vegetable soup. The soup was bland and forgettable but the calzone was excellent! Definitely go for breakfast or lunch if you are in Fairbanks!

Absolutely disappointed. Terrible service. Wanted to give the server the benefit but she kept screwing up. This place has so much hype it doesn’t live up. Food was cold and overcooked. Took over an hour from order to delivery. If I could have the time spent here back in my life would satisfy me so much more than having experienced being here. I wish I could have enjoyed it. I did not, and it was all due to poor service, bad preparation, and unrealistic hype expectations. I will not recommend or return.

horrible place, food are just food, you can eat it of course. It takes us wait more than 1 hour for food. I mean if you cannot serve the tables you have just close it. It is rediculous to wait 1 hour for this kind of food! Waffle house is better than this in thoustand ways!!!

Thank you to other reviews on Unilocal we again found a wonderful place to eat on a road trip to watch the Iron dog finish! This place had a great atmosphere and awesome breakfast!

Walking in to a display case of goodies is a plus, especially when they look really good! Sitting to dinner we waited about 5 minutes before our waitress arrived, which was fine because we ordered everything at once. After we ordered we waited about 20 minutes for food. It was OK. It wasn’t anything to be super excites about. I would come here again, maybe order something not so «regular». We did order a «famous» large cinnamon roll to go for tomorrow’s breakfast.

I always enjoy coming here whenever I visit from California to see my boyfriend in Fairbanks. I love their huge cinnamon rolls — Nolan’s Own I believe? Their homestyle fries are good and everything is just yummy

I’ve already left a review before but I am greatly pleased with the service I’ve received recently and it deserves mentioning. My husband called for some breakfast to be delivered to me on a day I wasn’t feeling well and the woman on the phone was kind enough to send someone out slightly early. The food was just as good delivered as it is in house and they are the only place that delivers breakfast food in town. Keep up the good service!

We ate here before heading out to the airport for a 2am flight… The food was great! We had the halibut but substituted onion rings for fries because we were craving onion rings. We also had the beef stroganoff… Yum! The entrees come with either soup or salad… The soup was delicious creamy potato(rich and yummy) and the salad was good and fresh. This is very filling and hearty comfort food and the server was very kind and friendly, too!

A quaint mom and pop diner in Fairbanks. Guy Fieri came here on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I had to try their Chicken Fried Steak which is prepared with PRIMERIB! It was pretty darn delicious and served either dinner style with mashed potatoes/veggies or breakfast style with hash browns and eggs. I got the dinner style. The green beans were cooked with pieces of bacon, yum! My BFF got the Beef Stroganoff and she loved it. Great homey atmosphere. Would recommend coming here if visiting!

Clean, friendly service. Takes a while to actually get your food but it is yummy when it does show up.

Disappointed for this to be on ddd it was a major let down. Over priced basic menu with tons of artificial ingredients smart balance butter and it taste like they cooked everything in it. Paid 12.99 for French Toast and gave me table syrup, additional almost $ 5 for has browns and they taste like the plastic they cooked it in won’t be back. Also water tasted like a pool and the coffee was bitter I rarely add a lot of sugar to my coffee had to put in 8 sugars to cut the flavor.

The waitresses were nice — a star for them. The food… wasn’t great. We ordered 2 items from their«Famous» list and they were very generic and bland. Their buffalo popcorn chicken was just fried chicken breasts cut up into pieces, and were nearly burnt to a crisp. Their fries and cookies were good though(cookies are pricey @ a buck a piece). But hey, we on vacation. On to the next place.

We came here strictly based on Unilocal reviews. My friends and I were here at Fairbanks visiting for 4 days, we came across this place’s high reviews and wanted to give this place a try. Our experience was borderline mediocre to poor. The food: 6⁄10 The food was generic. Nothing special about it no offense. I ordered the Beerock because it was listed as a local favorite. It was ok. The waitress serviced it with mustard and said it’s a specialty. My other friends ordered a typical breakfast combo, a sandwich and country fried steak. The fried steak was good, probably the best out of our selections. She also ordered a white chocolate oatmeal cookie. It was mediocre. The service: 1⁄10 This is probably the ONLY reason why this place deserves 1 star for us. Our waitress was nice in the beginning, however, holy heck, it was SLOW beyond believable. It was SOSLOW that we noticed 3(that’s THREE) different groups of people coming and leaving after eating at the tables next to ours. We sat in at 11AM and walked out by 1PM. During this 3 hour, we only spent 30mins eating because we were in a rush to attend a meeting at 1PM. ITWASRIDICULOUS. The waitress didn’t seem to notice it as a big deal. And by the end of our decade long meal, she gave us attitude for the way we wanted to split our checks 3 ways. She literally cuts us off in mid sentence and said we’ll split it her way!!! Are you kidding me. It was a horrible experience so, for the first time ever, my friends and I took the extra mile and fill out the comment card. I doubt that it actually means anything but it explains the $ 0-$ 1 tip. If you have to go here, try the fried country steak. Skip the waitress with the long almond shaped manicure. And if you’re looking for good food around Fairbanks, try the Pump House or Silver Gulch at the Anchorage airport. We had our best meals at the Silver Gulch at the Anchorage airport flying back. Hilarious right?

What a cute little restaurant! Excellent breakfast! Corned beef hash was DELICIOUS. Also ordered another egg dish and that was wonderful too — home fries are perfectly made!

BESTCOUNTRYFRIEDSTEAK I’ve had in this country. Why you ask? Well to start, they used a slice of prime rib in place of your traditional ground round. The meat, despite being breaded and fried, was still super moist and tender. The gravy that smothered the steak was also on point– I hope I’m not being foolish, but there’s no way this gravy came out of a can. Hashbrowns were crisp… I could go on and on… I might just book my flight back to Alaska to have this again. We also shared a sweet dish… they were called stuffed nolans– perfect to share just so you get to taste, way too much to get by yourself. First meal in Alaska and this was a great introduction to the state! COMFORTFOODALLDAYEVERYDAY!

Perfect place for breakfast/lunch. Large selection on menu. It’s a pretty busy place but after eating there you’ll know why. Prices were better than average sit down restaurants in Fairbanks. Food came within a reasonable amount of time and service was excellent. Most definitely would eat here again.

This restaurant was on the Food Network so it must be good. I got some cheese sticks and an au jus sandwich here. Both dishes weren’t to-die-for, but they were as good as you’d expect from a local mom/pop diner. It was extremely quaint and it’s got a small-town joint vibe(obviously). If I were ever come back for some reason, I’ll have to actually try a cookie. There was this annoying baby who kept yelling/crying loudly and the parents weren’t doing anything about it. This is the only place I ate in Fairbanks so this means it’s my favorite in the city.

After many trips to this restaurant, we have never been disappointed. We tend to order omelets and French toast, and they are very good. Cookies are another winner. There are baked goods and chocolates in the glass case at the front of the restaurant, such as cinnamon rolls, muffins, cupcakes and chocolate peanut butter cups. They also sell gifts – mugs, cards, magnets, etc… The space is made of a few separate rooms with lots of seating in each. Maybe one of the rooms could be reserved for meetings or parties? Décor includes a variety of cookie jars throughout. Staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The site was very clean. There’s plenty of lot parking close to the restaurant.

Service is what really makes this place worth going to, it’s simply incredible. My friend and I hit this place up for our last supper before we hit the long road up to Prudhoe Bay(because it’s there, no real good/productive reason). Anyway, we had a lot of annoying planning to conduct and so we sucked the WiFi here dry. It was kind of rude, I felt a little embarrassed, but our waitress continued to keep the coffee flowin’. Food was pretty good too, despite there not a lot of options for breakfast in Fairbanks. Ambiance is like a place your grandparents would go to breakfast at, I don’t mean that in a bad way either :)

Top!
