It can’t be authentic because it’s not in Mexico. Duhh… Overall good try at imitating the cemitas poblanas and the tacos arabes. However, there should be more advocating for traveling to Mexico, especially those unnoticed travel destinations like Puebla City. The reason why I’m giving it a one star is because it’s overpriced. One Cemita normally costs 15 pesos which is like a dollar. Tacos Arabes are like 10 Pesos each. And the bread for the cemita is not originated from Mexico. They bake it themselves. And the cheese can easily be shipped for low cost. Plus this is normally street food in Mexico. Not a delicacy as say a Chile en Nogada. I suggest if you want to try the real thing travel to Mexico. If you like the food you try it will be 10 times better. But for now don’t get fooled by the word«authentic»

This is one of my new favorites. A small family owned establishment serving authentic dishes. My wife loves the green sauce. Carnitas are my fave. Oh yes, we’ll be back again!

Si eres buen conocedor de la comida tipica de Puebla, este es el lugar para provar esas deliciosas Cemitas y tacos Arabes. Como Chilango recomiendo este lugar ya que cuenta con buen servicio donde los clientes se sienten agusto.

not sure where all the great reviews came from, but my friend and I came here based on them. we each ordered the 2 taco plate, they came after about 20 mins. the plate came with rice and beans and were the smallest portions we ever had at a Mexican restaurant. along with that came our chips and salsa, sad to say the salsas were the best of the meal. the chips were stale. the tacos had ok carnitas, but romaine lettuce instead of the traditional cabbage and a shredded Mexican cheese blend instead of queso. service was good. but I can see why there was no one else in the restaurant. we won’t be coming back and won’t recommend it either.

Today I really had a lunchtime quandary. I just couldn’t decide what I had a taste for. Burger? Nah. BBQ? Not feelin’ it. Mexican? Um, maybe. But not the usual Mexican grub around here, just too pedestrian… «Wait, how about that little joint in Fair Oaks just down from the costume place?» I think. Yeah, that place looked promising! Rolled up around 12:30 and walked in. Smallish interior with maybe ten tables. Four of the ten were occupied. Place looked clean and tidy. Stepped up to the counter and ordered a pork Cemita and a Carne Asada taco. Found a table and waited for my order. The taco showed up after a five minute wait. Pretty standard looking«street taco», two small tortillas, meat, cilantro, onion and a green salsa on the side. Three bites and it was gone. Actually that taco was pretty darn good, nice flavor, not at all greasy, light and fresh. Note to self: next time order 10. Next the Cemita. Hmmm, funky looking bun. Weird looking meat thing. About ½ of an avocado. And torn up «cheese stick» cheese? What the hell is this? Oh I get it, it’s a «let’s watch the gringo wear half his lunch» game. No, not really. What I quickly discovered was absolute genius. From talking with the owner the«Cemita» has to do with the bread. They bake the bread in house. The pork was sort of Mexico’s answer to Schnitzel I guess. The pork was pounded flat, lightly breaded and fried. And the cheese was just aged Mexican cheese. And yes, about ½ an avocado. First bite and I was hooked. The bread makes the sandwich. Really great flavors from all the components. Well balanced, not too heavy and not at all greasy. I happily consumed each and every last crumb. Yum! That will be a go-to from now on. Oh, and just because it seemed like a good idea I ordered a carnitas taco. Again, a street taco style offering: tortillas, meat, cilantro/onion. But what set that taco apart from most others is the carnitas. Lots of tender and moist porky goodness with a bit of salt and spices. And might you ask as to why the carnitas were so tender and moist? Well the answer muchachos is that they heat up the carnitas for service not on a flat top where the meat dries out, but they use the«L» word. That’s right, they use a magical concoction of Lard and H2o to bring the meat up to temp. Hey, I’m not sure what«L» word you were thinkin’, but if you give the carnitas a try you’ll be glad they have the lard thing down pat. Of course I’ll return and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for super fresh, light, Mexican fare.

Consistently good and fresh food. The owners are here every time I’ve been in. I’ve had the Tacos Arabes which are delicious with salsa poblana. The torta with milanesa was also exquisite-loved the Mexican cheese. Pleasant ambiance and the bathroom are always clean. :)

So I’m always on the lookout for a good taco, I’m glad I stumbled on this place. There’s no sign out front so you wouldn’t know it’s there if you weren’t looking for it. I ended up getting the two taco plate these weren’t small street tacos so twines enough to suppress my hunger. Very good and fresh meat and veggies. Finished it off with some flan. I will totally be going back!

Mexican food the way it should be! This is about as authentic as you can get. The owners are super friendly and the food is simply made with love. Had the Cemita and it was absolutely delicious. Credit to the dude on one of the reviews below to point me to it. Excellent flavor. It’s kind of difficult to locate because there’s not really a sign and it’s towards the back of a strip mall but I highly recommend this place if you want to try some authentic Mexican food made with love.

Los Tres Reyes has amazing authentic Mexican food. It is family owned and everything is made from scratch. The mole is absolutely delicious. Tacos arabes and their carne asada and chicken enchiladas were delicious as well; however, I will try out the cemita next time. The owner is very welcoming and the place is very clean. We will definitely be going back and you will not be disappointed.

OMG this place SUCKS!!! I can’t believe that a Mexican person can’t make Mexican food! First off they got my order wrong, but I won’t even get into that. I got the chicken enchilada and asked for red sauce but they gave me green, it was flavorless and the chicken was in strips and dry. The«traditional» rice had no flavor at all! I mean, I have had boiled white rice from a chines restaurant and it had more flavor than this supposed authentic mexican rice, This place shouldn’t even be in business, I wouldn’t even call what they serve food!

Excellent authentic Mexican food and everything is handmade; nothing from a can. From the house-pickled jalapeños to the delicious handmade enchilada sauce. This place is so amazing that we had dinner and then went back the next night for dinner. Haha First night we had a wet asada burrito and a chicken cemita(sandwich). Both were amazing and you haven’t had a REAL wet burrito until you’ve had one coated and floated in their handmade red sauce. The next night(tonight) we had two house specials. Tacos arabes and mole topped chicken enchiladas. Wow… Just wow. Both were absolutely amazing. Just remember, if you want mole, you gotta come on a weekend. On top of the food, the service is A+!

Authentic flavors. As if I was at my moms house. The Cemita was delicious and would definitely go back more often if it wasn’t such a long drive. The Tacos Arrabe didn’t impress me. Try their Cemita… you won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous authentic Mexican food. Unfortunately the mole is a special and they were not serving it last night. I had the chicken enchiladas… best around. My husband had Tacos Arabes; a specialty of Puebla, Mexico. I had a couple bites; nothing like them before, they were so tasty and different. The two guys that were working were so attentive and made sure we were happy with our meals. We were. My only small criticism would be the plastic knives and forks. Would have preferred real silverware. And the music was just a little too loud for our taste. We will be back to try many of the other dishes!

Amazing mole! The flan was awesome, too. This place just opened and is great. It’s a family business and they are from Puebla, Mexico — where the mole recipe originated. When I came by earlier in the day the mother of the family was making the mole. That’s a good sign!

This is a new place in fair oaks I was in the neighborhood, so I stopped by. The owners are really friendly and the service is excellent. The restaurant is very welcoming. I ordered enchiladas en mole poblano they were really delicious. The mole was definitely homemade and the flavor was superb. The owners are from Puebla and serve dishes from that region: cemitas, tacos arabes and mole. I am excited to try the other poblano dishes next time I visit, which will be soon. I wish I lived closer! I tried the cemita poblana as well it was delicious!!! Highly recommended :)

Just opened a couple weeks ago and they are very eager to please. This is not a high class place but the service was incredible. I had great enchiladas and my wife had excellent nachos. We will definitely return and try this spot again!
