Great Mexican made fresh. Attention to details(like all the different salsas) at a great price.

My son told me about this place and I’m glad he did. I love mexican food. The place is clean, the food was fresh and made to order with huge portions. the staff was very friendly. I go on at least once a week. The best mexican food in the tri-state area hands down.

I just spent 9 years in Southern California where authentic Mexican was everywhere. I’ve been avoiding Mexican restaurants because I didn’t want to be disappointed. But I really wanted tamales. I ordered the chicken, pork, and cheese/jalapeño tamales. The chicken and cheese tamales just didn’t do it for me. The pork was ok. Not exceptional, but ok. The staff was very pleasant and the restaurant was bustling. The other items looked good. Might go back to try those.

Nondescript place in a nondescript locale, but… People. PEOPLE. These are good tacos. Not«good for the burbs» good or «good for Philadelphia» good, but genuinely good for the world quality tacos. An unexpected find in Chester County. Very solid choice — highly recommended.

I was in the area with a work colleague for a training seminar, and we stumbled upon this place. Whenever I go to a new Mexican place, I have standard things I try. I get three different tacos with chips and guacamole. I’ve found that is a good cross section for any place like this. I enjoyed the pastor chicken tacos, the barbacoa, and the carnitas tacos highly. Great flavoring to all of them. The guacamole was very good. Maybe slightly better than some places, not as good as others. It holds its own. My colleague loved her tacos and told me the rice and beans were good but not the best she’s ever had. Most definitely a solid 4 star choice.

I am a hardcore mexican foodie. Me and my friends stopped in the other day for some food. Oh my gosh. First of all: the employees are very kind and super helpful! Absolutely did everything they could to make our experience at Taco Maya great! Helped us move tables together, brought us our food to our table, brought us napkins. The manager even came over and made sure we enjoyed everything and even cleared our trash. Secondly(and most importantly): the food. Delicious. Authentic mexican food, constantly made fresh daily. We got burritos, tamales, taco salad, and chips and queso. Everything was amazing. They have delicious salsa selections too!* Honestly, I need to make the trip out here more often, it’s so much better than your chain Chipotle, or crappy non-authentic Taco Bell. *Just a warning for anyone eating spicy food, if your stomach can’t handle spicy, you’re going to have a horrible bathroom trip later on. (But don’t worry Taco Maya has very clean bathrooms also.)

I came here for some lunch but got poisoned instead. The food was okay at best. However being mediocre wasn’t enough because we got sick. I can never win when I try to eat something different in pa.

I wanna give it 6 stars. I go here maybe 3 – 4 times a week. I usually get 3 tacos, 5 if I’m really feeling it. Food is always on point and exactly what I want. The people working there remember who you are and are always pleasant. I’ll pay extra for more queso, I’ll pay more for guac, I’ll pay more for putting 30 things in my burrito. We’re talking tacos here. Nothing glamorous about it. If you’ve given this place anything less then 4 stars, you’re a snob who may just have too high of expectations for an awesome taco joint. …More tacos for me

This place is AMAZING! My office just moved from the borough of West Chester to this area and a lot of us were bummed we wouldn’t have the great food around us anymore. This place blows Jaco Taco out of the water(taco wise). I got two tacos, soft(corn tortillas). One with carne asada and one with the carnitas. So freakin’ good. Everything was so fresh and made to order. My family is part Mexican so I decided to try a tamale(pork with red sauce) from here, too(with low expectations because nowhere has good tamales really) and it tasted just like my Grandmas tamales! So authentic and so so so good. I was so full from the two tacos that I had to give most of the tamale away to a co-worker though. They definitely don’t skimp you on the meat in the tacos. The staff was super friendly, talkative and the restaurant was very clean. Will definitely be back ASAP with friends!

I have been here twice in the last week and was impressed both times. I am gluten free so I got the three hard shell tacos. I tried ground beef, barbacoa and carnitas. All were good but the carnitas were my favorite. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! Their regular salsa and salsa verde are my favorite. The guacamole is excellent, far better than Chipotle in my opinion. The portion sizes are large but manageable. The staff was friendly and the restaurant appeared clean. It’s too bad that they are tucked so far off the street. I have lived here for 3 years and never thought to go in there until now. It’s a hidden gem so spread the word so they stay in business!

Fantastico! Just visited for the first time. Friendly counter service with several tables to sit. Everything was soooo fresh and delicious. I had a taco salad which I picked all my toppings for. At least 6 choices of meats and tons of options. My husband ordered 3 different tacos. All amazing. Their guacamole was phenomenal. So fresh. We will be back!

Read all the reviews and was genuinely excited for some awesome, authentic Mexican food in one of my favorite towns, but boy I was disappointed… Intro: Came here on a Sunday night with my three favorite ladies(mom/sister/niece because it matters). Sister got the burrito, and mom got the taco salad. I came in a bit later and got the taco salad as well. They didn’t have a vast array of vegetarian options(where my tofu at?!), but they had enough. It’s a Chipotle/Qdoba-styled setup, but be careful because not only is guac extra, but those jalapeños/fajitas/other random veggies are too! Price: I expected to be paying no more than $ 6 for that taco salad(it was listed for $ 5-something), but I ended up paying about $ 8-$ 9! Hate asking for partiality towards vegetarians, but we don’t have any significant protein options so couldn’t they compensate with giving more complimentary veggies? It’s not even like the base vegetarian option was significantly cheaper either. Taste: Meh tbh. I know some places have bad nights, but I felt severely underwhelmed here. It was like those nights when you don’t have anything else to make and only have about 50% of the supplies needed for tacos so you just go with it and see what you can concoct. Wish there was more effort put into the development of the salad, as well as the flavoring of the rice/beans/fajitas. Aura: Like a crowded Taco Bell. Not very much seating, but I’m sure they have a lot of take-out orders. Overall: Was gonna give a 2, but gave another star for the authenticity of the place and for it not being expensive sans the add-ons. Wouldn’t say it was terrible enough to completely avoid, but wouldn’t send my abuela there either.

This place is one of the best Mexican food places I’ve eaten at. Overall the food is very fresh and full of flavor. I usually get 3 tacos as well as their chips made in house. Everything seems like it’s made fresh and in house which is cool to see. The people that work here/own this keep it super clean constantly cleaning up and making sure the restaurant is in order. I came here once about a month ago on a whim and have been back 5 – 6 times already and will continue to come back.

Walking in-it’s surprisingly colorful and clean! I was immediately welcomed, and asked what I wanted– specifically what I liked. Comical banter took place as I am sleep deprived, over eaten, and miles from home– I really just needed a nap! BUT I’m so glad my hubby found this place. We were 7 hours into our drive home and this was a close to the highway almost 5 star Mexican joint we thought to try. All cons! — counter style ordering — small and quaint location — friendly and fast service — fresh ingredients — «Chipotle» display style, better food. –endless options — fresh and tasty –appropriately priced –big clean bathrooms(baby counter in both M & F restrooms) –highchairs I ordered the Carne Sadas Taco salad– you can get whatever you want in it, and the shell was perfectly fresh and crispy! We ordered the Carne Queso– my favorite! Their salsas were different and a great new flavor taste over typical salsa. Too bad we live two and a half hours from here! Would go again!

Great service. Great food. What more can you ask for. The mini burrito was the perfect size, their regular burritos are wayyy to filling for me, even when I get it without any meat! Their tacos are loaded with deliciousness. The chipotle chicken is sooo good! Authentic Mexican food. A really nice change from chipotle.

Huge portions, fresh salsa. This place is great. I got the Chicken Al Pastor Burrito which comes with chips and access to their fresh salsa bar. Their salsas are superb. The burrito was very good. The chicken was tender and packed with flavor. The meal was extremely filling for $ 7.50. I strongly recommend stopping by this place if you’re in the area. It’s basically a fast food building converted into a more authentic version of Chipotle. I only give five stars if it’s worth driving more than twenty minutes for. It’s good, but it doesn’t blow you away. Solid Mexican place with authentic flavor. I’d definitely come back if I was nearby, and you should too.

The gods have delivered Taco Maya to a little town in Pennsylvania. I’m from NYC and I can honestly say, that the city has nothing on this joint. Let me tell you about the tacos real quick because this(for me) is the selling point. To do so, I’m going to just rifle off a couple words: Fresh. Variety. Flavorful. Electrifying. Crunchy. Life changing. Perfect. Delish. Fresh. Outstanding. Mmmmmmmm. The salsa though? On point. I buy it in a quart everytime I go and bring it back for me and my girl to snack on. It’s a win/win. I loves the salsa and I score brownie points with the bae. If you’re still thinking about going anywhere else for authentic Mexican food, think again. In case you missed it before, the food is VERYFRESH. The owner, Chewy(nickname that his friends use) showed me how he cooked up his fresh salsa, minutes before I drizzled it all over my 8 tacos. Just… Stop reading and go get yourself some tacos.(Drop the mic)

I took the owner’s(Erick) advice and selected his favorite menu item during my most recent visit to Taco Maya. I went with the #3 Carne Azada Burrito. I must say this was a fine choice and if I get here again will stay on this path as opposed to the quesadilla(which I had during a prior visit). I also sampled all of the salsa options and came away thoroughly enjoying Taco Maya’s Roasted Tomato version. I also gave the guacamole a second chance, unfortunately it still didn’t do anything for me. I’ll take their salsa over their guac. The pricing is very similar to that of Chipotle. That small side(4 oz) of guacamole is going to run you $ 2 w/o chips, and $ 3.50 w/chips. The fountain drinks are one size(Coca Cola products) and are $ 2 a pop. The #3 burrito is a monster and will get you for almost $ 8, it does include chips. This place does some business during the lunch hour. The staff hustles and the manager is on the run back and forth cleaning tables and assisting with burrito construction. They use the Belly loyalty program but are too busy getting through a somewhat chaotic check-out process to allow you to comfortably explore or have them explain it to you. I have to wonder how many patrons rub their belly on the tablet at the register(instructions on the screen say«Tap to Belly»). Good luck Taco Maya!
