Les Schwab Tire Center

I went in with a flat tire yesterday, and had the best possible possible.
The technician (Jovany if memory serves) came out to greet me and assess the damage as soon as I parked. I assume that flat tires are routine for him, but he still expressed empathy for my situation. I was processed promptly, and only 20 minutes or so later he reported that he was able to repair the tire at no cost. He even took the initiative to (properly) put my spare back into the storage compartment. He then explained that the tread on another tire was showing signs of wear and that I should replace it soon, but he wasn’t the least bit pushy.
I have never had a bad experience at any Les Schwab, and this was one of my best ever. This is why I never want to go anywhere else.

I’ve always been impressed with Les Schwab. They always fix my flats even when the tire is not theirs and send me on my way without charging me. However, I thought today they exceeded my expectation. I wasn’t ready to replace all my tires and their tire tech., Giavanni, did a great job explaining my options. I couldn’t ask for better service.

I had a horrible experience at Les Schwab on 112^th St SE in Everett. I made an appointment to get new rear brake pads and a tire rotation, informing them of the make and model of the car, thereby allowing 3 days for them to get the parts they needed. On the day of the appointment, I dropped off my car at 11 a.m. They assured me that when I returned at 3, my car would be finished. As I was returning to Les Schwab, they called me to tell me that the wrong parts had been delivered and that the new parts are expected to arrive at 4. I had my coworker drop me off, expecting that I would have to wait about an hour. Around 5, I approached the desk and asked for a status update. The woman behind the counter told me that the parts had not arrived yet and were expected any minute. I asked how long it would take to do the repair once the parts had arrived. She told me that they would take 15 minutes to install and another 15 to bleed them. Just after 6 (closing time) they called me up to the counter to pay for the work they had done. I could see in the shop that my car was elevated and still did not have tires on it. She assured me that they were wrapping up and it would only be a couple more minutes. She offered me a $ 25 off the service, as if the 7+ hours they had my car was only worth $ 25 of my time. A «coupon» that I could have likely clipped from a newspaper. Aside from the fact that this is a routine task that should only take them an hour to accomplish. Around 6:30 someone came in from the shop to explain that the parts were incorrectly delivered, twice. I reminded them that there is an auto parts store around the corner, but they just kept interrupting me as if they were reading from a script. Just before 7, they lowered my car and pulled it around for me to pick up. Not another word was spoken to me. I have taken my car there before for service as it is close to my job and everything went fine, but Les Schwab completely dropped the ball on this one, leaving me stranded 30 miles away from home. Les Schwab’s communication of the problems they were experiencing was tardy at best and non-​existent at worst. They completely wasted almost four hours of my time. Not only that, but they seem unable to fix the most obvious mistake. They continually get my not uncommon name completely wrong and have to fix it every time I go in. Every time I call, they are unable to find any record of me.

Had a complete brake job done on my wife’s ’03 Sequoia in 2011. A month later we drove 3k miles on vacation, and had a mushy pedal coming down Snoqualmie Pass. Next day went to take it in, and brake fluid had leaked and ruined the painted wheel. They fixed the brakes and replaced the wheel. I was ‘kinda’ happy cuz they weren’t scraping our remains off the mountain! I actually went back when my daughter needed two new tires for her car.
So I take an ATV wheel in to have a tire mounted and bearings replaced. My wife picked it up, and the next day I’m like, wth the freaking bearings don’t even turn. I take it back and the guys like“they were pressed in correctly’. I ask if he would give me a car with a wheel that wouldn’t turn? It’s obvious that they installed them incorrectly, but would they make it right? No. Les Schwab says that all their stores are ‘independent’ meaning they won’t stand behind their work either. I have 4 vehicles that will NEVER be back to ANY Les Schwab.
